Roman was there within 2 hours of my call, and quickly repaired the faucets. Very personable man.

Our water heater was leaking after coming back from a vacation. We looked on Facebook for our neighborhood and found a couple people that had recommended Roman, we also checked Angies list and his rating was excellent. We called Roman at around 6:30 at night, on 12/30 and I left a message. He called me back about 45 seconds after I hung up, he asked me a few questions about the heater and what was going on with it and said he could be there the next day around 4pm, he quoted me a price, I said it sounded good. The next day he called me around 9 to ask about the height of the water heater, he needed to know so he could get one that was the same height. Roman called me at 3 and was there around 3:15 so he was ahead of schedule and gave me a 15 - 20 minute heads up. He quickly assessed what we had, then he cut the pipes where needed, drained our old water heater and took it out. He had to replace a coupling and weld the copper water pipe on top and install a new expansion tank for the new water heater, he did it very quickly with a minumum of mess. Compared to the old water heater I think the new one looks like it was done better, the welds look great and everything is working fantastic. I now have to turn down the heat for my showers as it is too hot if I put it on full heat! Bottom line: I will definitely call Roman if I ever need any other plumbing work done again, he got the job done for the price he quoted me over the phone, there were no surprises other than the fact he did such a great job in a short period of time. The water heater is still working great, no leaks, no problems so far. He gives a year warranty , if you have any problems he will come fix them.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the service provided. We will call R&S again if leakage occurs and have them remove the commode from the floor.

We contacted Roman late on a Friday afternoon after our water heater failed. Roman conducted a thorough and efficient phone interview to determine exactly what we needed and what the job would require, provided a quote and said he could do the job the next morning (Saturday). His quote for a Saturday job was very competive with others for a normal week day. He called Saturday to confirm his early arrival, discussed our installation options with us and did the job right. Roman is the epitome of professional efficient quality. We recommend him without hesitation.

I was very impressed Roman made the service call at 6:30 pm. He worked quickly to fix our water leak .. and even fixed a chronically clogged toilet. Super. He did good work at a reasonable price, and he was pleasant and professional in the bargain. Roman also helped me select a better insulated and more efficient hot water tank, and as a result my LP gas bills have been lower this year than last by about 30%. I highly recommend R&S (Roman Kaukereit).

Roman rocks. 2nd time to use him after he replaced our water heater a couple of years ago (another A+ job). He showed up on time, fixed the problem, and explained why it happened. Done in an hour. WILL NOT HESITATE TO USE AGAIN.

After pre-paying for this through Lowes, the Lowes plumber finally showed up and said he wasn't going to touch the job. He then left, leaving us without water or a sink in the kitchen. We had already been washing dishes in the bathroom for three days. I called Roman on that Friday and he said he would try for early the next week. Then he asked if I would be home the next morning (Saturday). He had already quoted me a price of $250 based on what I had told him (lower than what I had paid at Lowes). The long and short of it is that Roman came out on a Saturday, spent probably four hours creating a custom hookup for this mess, which included running out for parts, and charged me exactly what he quoted. The work was clean, neat, and worked perfectly. He didn't charge me anything extra for coming on a Saturday. He then took the time to walk around with me and take a look at the plumbing in the rest of the house and let me know it all seemed pretty good, and told me when I was ready for a hot water heater (which he said I was not yet) to give him a call. He guaranteed his work and told me to call if I had any leaks and he would come right back to fix it. This gentleman is an old school workman. Clean work, pick up the mess, take a little time to talk to the customer, charge what was quoted, and provide customer service to accomodate your customers. I was very happy with the job.

Roman did a great job, no problems at all even almost 2 years later. When we upgrade to a gas stove I will get him out here to pipe it up. He is a hard worker and I feel like an honest person. Only area that's a little tricky is communicating with him. He knows what needs to be done and is very eager to do the work, but at times I needed him to slow down and explain why I need to call PSNC to replace our gas meter for instance. In the end he did just that but takes a little slowing him down. I feel like he's a great guy that does quality work and at a fair price.

Roman had come out to our house on a call a couple of months prior to this job and I was impressed with his honesty and service. When it came time for a new water heater I called for an estimate and was again impressed. He scheduled an install time and was right on time. Roman worked hard until the job was done and took a lot of time to discuss the manuals and all the paper work with us. I was very impressed with the quality of the job. The finished product was very cleanly installed and the work space was clean when the job was done. I will definitely use Roman for any plumbing issues in the future. Hard working, great craftsmanship, quality honest service and a fair deal!

If you have never met Roman then you have not met one of the best plumbers in the triangle area. He came on time and got right to work. He was able to determine that the leak under the sink was due to an incorrectly installed disposal somehow I managed to have the flange mounted incorrectly (I did this one myself). To move the disposal to the otherside of the sink required a different disposal entirely. Roman installed the new disposal and also tightented the fawcet mount so that the spigot no longer wiggles when using the handles on the fawcet. The leaking Toilets were determined to be a presure problem in our lines. He went under our house and replaced the Pressure reduction valve and adjusted it to the correct pressure. Just not having to work in such cramped damp conditions is value enough. Knowing the job was done correctly and that we should have realativly trouble free plumbing environment for a while is priceless.R&S plumbing is great because Roman is soo good.

Roman was very responsive over the phone when I called. We exchanged several phone calls. He either picked up right away or called me back within minutes after I left a voicemail. He came out and checked out the place, even went into the crawl space, before giving us an estimate, and explained well in detail. He sounded like he's very knowledgeable and he proved to be one. He did not provide any written estimate other than scribbling down a line and cost on the back of his business card, which concerned me a little. I had gotten nicely written detailed estimates from other companies. The cost is about the same across the board, within $100 in difference. We liked the fact that he's very down to earth type of person and he is the one who does the actual job, not a separate service crew that we didn't see during the initial sales meeting. So we hired him. He got it scheduled within a week (our tank wasn't broken, so it wasn't a rush). He came out 10am in the morning and finished by 2:30pm. He removed the old tank from garage, rerouted the plumbing so the new tankless water heater is now outside on the other side of the house. He explained to us how to operate the new water heater, and informed us what to prepare for inspection. He honored a $50 coupon from Angie's List. A separate electrician called and came out later in the afteroon to install a switch for the water heater (paid separately, but included in the overall cost). We bought carbon monoxide detectors and scheduled for inspection. A few days later the inspection passed. Roman called me again later to follow up and make sure things are working. We love our new water heater. We will gladly use Roman again for other plumbing needs.

An extremely positive experience with Roman. Removed my old water heater, replaced it with a tankless and did it in excellent time and cleaned up after him. Reasonably priced, honest and hard-working. I will always use R&S for future plumbing needs.

I called for an estimate for a tennant occupied t/home that needed a new shower valve installed. Unfortunately, when he arrived the tennant was not at home, even though she had been told what time we would arrive. I showed him a similar valve in another t/home and he quoted me $250-300. Then he wanted $20 cash for the trip here. (I did not have $20 on me). I thought we had made an arrangement for him to return and do the repairs on Monday, May 7, 12. I called him around 11 a.m. ans asked if he were coming and his answer was, "How are you going to pay me, Cash?" I said no it would be by check so I have a paper trail for the IRS. He did not want that so he said get someone else. I did and saw a savings of $50-100 and a great job done by another company.

Overall, I was disappointed. This is a big job but when I had asked during our initial call whether he could do it, he led me to believe that he could "help me" with that problem. Why would I ask one plumber to come out to merely diagnose a problem without expecting him to be able to fix it? Where is the logic of paying on plumber almost a hundred dollars, only to pay another plumber another hundred dollars to tell me the same thing?

Several things impressed me. --His estimate was right in line with appropriate fees for replacing a water heater. --I've had a lot of plumbing work done in the house; yet nobody before Roman had identified the source of some of the problems we were having (i.e., the s-valve) --He spent a long time at the house fixing the problem. There was an extra charge for the changing of the S-valve, but that charge seemed entirely appropriate,given both the extra time and the lateness of the hour. --He called the next morning to check on a burst pipe in the road outside our house (i.e., to see whether the water company had come, as promised, and whether that problem was resolved). All in all, an excellent experience. We would highly recommend him.

Roman came to our house twice. He was on time the first time and called to let us know he was running a little behind the second time (he arrived shortly after the call). He replaced a couple of parts in the toilet the first time, but warned that the problem might recur. The toilet did start to have trouble flushing within a few days, so we called him back. He returned the next week and replaced the entire tank, and he did not charge us for the second repair because it was needed so soon and he stands behind his work. He was very friendly and professional.

Roman was very quick and punctual, he gave us an accurate estimate, then fixed it perfectly.

We have used Roman for many years. Over the years, he installed our tankless hot water heater, a new toilet, replaced our garbage disposal, and repaired our outside water faucet. We used to get estimates from other plumbers before having any work performed. Roman has always came in at the lowest price, without us first telling him the other estimates. We stopped wasting our time getting other estimates. Recently, our daughter bought her first home. Her hot water heater was leaking from the expansion value, and her shower faucet needed replacement parts and adjustment. Roman also adjusted her hot water temperature to the proper temperature without us having to ask him to check it. Roman was in and out in a flash. He has always provided the highest quality and lowest prices with all of our repairs. I have never received this level of workmanship from any other plumber. I pray that Roman stays in business for many years to come.

After reviewing providers on Angies List, I decided to call R&S to have them check out our upstairs shower leak. Water came through our kitchen ceiling the day we were leaving for vacation. So after a week of ignoring the problem, we called upon return home. He answered right away (Roman) and stated he had an opening at noon that same day! :) We set the appt and he called back to state he had an immediate opening. He came over, took about 5 minutes to determine his best idea of what was happening and asked to cut into the wall to have a look. We agreed, he was correct on his theory, he fixed it and charged a minimum price. He was professional, helpful, quick and educated us along the way! We will DEFINITELY use him again!!

Needed a new hot water heater and a water valve replaced. R&S provided an estimate the week before and delivered a new hot water heater, corrected some code issues and installed the new unit while allowing me to reseal the area around the unit with plastic. This was needed since I have a sealed crawl space. Work and people were professional and the quality was excellent. I would readily use again.

I will NOT be using this provider again. Initially Roman was very pleasant on the phone willing to give me a quote (read on) and perform work with 1-2 days notice after countertop completion. He arrived on time, calling ahead to let me know he was on the way. However, when he arrived at my home his attitude was less than professional complaining about the previous removal of the disposal (done by a water damage mitigation service) and how he wasn't goning to be able to do the work. (He basically seemed to be in a foul mood and didn't want to be there.) Once he finally got to work, it was completed within a short amount of time and appears to be in good working order. I've had no problems with any aspect of the installation. I was not at home (my husband was) when he was done and left the bill, but I would've questioned him at that point and time. His bill was $125 for a disposal and $250 for labor. My first call to him included a quote to replace the disposal and what kind of disposal which he quoted me a Badger 5 for $89 dollars. I agreed to this price since I had just returned from Lowe's with a price of $85 for the exact same disposal. When I phoned Roman later about the price of $125 I assumed it included some additional hardware (pipes, etc) due to the poor removal by the previous company and wanted to notify my insurance company about this. He told me that this was the cost of the disposal only. I questioned him about the $89 quote and he said he never quoted me that price, it was $125. ( I still have the brochure from Lowe's where I was taking notes during our conversation with an 89 on it, not a 125.) I told him that I could have supplied the exact same disposal for $85 and just paid his labor to install...why would I agree to a $40 overcharge. He then stated "I know what I quoted you" and claimed it was for "putting it in his truck, gas to get there and TAXES." And for the complete story, his labor charge was $250 and he was at my home about 1.5 hours. You do the math.

Our water heater was slowly leaking. We called and Roman came out the same day fitting us in after his last job. We discussed water heater options and decided we'd prefer a tankless over a tank. He went over the pros and cons of both with us. We scheduled installing the tankless heater for the next day. Since we have many gas appliances in our house, he increased the size of our incoming gas line to make sure the inspector would not have an issue with the addition of the tankless gas heater. He finished the installation in a few hours. The installation was very clean and neat (pipes, lines, electrical) and he added insulation on the pipes when it isn't required by the code. He left the area very clean. There was no evidence that there had previously been a tank water heater in the same area. He showed us how the unit worked and walked us through how to flush the system on our own. He also walked us through the owners manual. He was very personable and professional. He does not do electrical but does have an electritian the he provides to do the electrical outlet installation and running of the required additional ground wire.
