I emailed an inquiry about the desired work using Angie's List link and received prompt reply. This led to phone discussion with Roman about the work and we set up a time. He arrived on or ahead of schedule and we looked at specific locations for new hose bibs and the water supply lines I wanted to use. The supply lines were old PVC pipe and he needed to go get the proper fittings to adapt from PVC to PEX piping. When he returned, he completed the installation of 2 hose bibs quickly. He had the necessary parts for the shower faucet on his truck and completed this repair quickly. Overall, work was fine and completed quickly.

Roman (the "R" in R&S Plumbing) is an excellent plumber. His professionalism and attention to detail was apparent from the moment he arrived to provide an estimate for the work to be completed. He was the only plumber that checked everything (including the crawl space) to determine exactly what the job required and the best location for the new water heater. Roman came out at the agreed upon date and time, and the installation went in without any problems. Roman knows what he is doing and he works hard for his money. As part of the installation requirement, I had to have the gas company come out and change the gas meter. The installer from the gas company asked me who I used to install the water and gas lines, because it was evident to him that they paid close attention to detail and did a quality job. It's nice to know that others in the profession note when good work is performed. Roman is not the least expensive plumber nor is he the most expensive. His quote came in about the same as the others. What sets him apart is his attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work. I should add that Roman contacted me a few days after the installation to make sure everything was working properly and to make sure I was satisfied with his work. If you're looking for a great plumber who is honest and works for a fair price, then you need not look any further than R&S Plumbing. I'll be calling Roman for all of my future plumbing needs. (Note: I didn't give the price a rating of "A", because there is no "deal" to be found here. The price I paid for the services rendered was standard for the area I live in.)

We called several plumbers for estimates and made the right choice in hiring Roman. We checked Angie's list as well as the rinnai website. Not only was Roman's price reasonable, we felt we received excellent service and we felt very comfortable with him. There were no surprises. Roman was very knowledgeable, detailed and took the time to explain all the aspects of the rinnai. We love our tankless hot water heater and appreciate the quality of service we received. He showed up on time and worked until the job was complete. The inspection also went very smoothly. Roman even gave us a follow up phone call to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. He was very punctual and very thorough. He came right on time and he was extremely honest. The price was what he said it would be. We have had him do other stuff as well earlier. We actually had an emergency call and we called many plumbers and none of them returned my call. Roman not just called me back but he was here within an hour. He did not even charge us anything as it was an easy fix for him. He finished the job quickly and was on his way. We were doing a remodeling in the downstairs bathroom and had to take out the sink and the vanity. My husband went to disconnect the pipe and it broke. That was beyond his ability at that point and we were in a mess. Nobody even called us back but Roman came to help us. We recommend him highly. He is so good that we use people he refers us as well and so far they have been good as well.

The appointment was scheduled for 11:30AM the following morning. I called at 10:00AM the morning of the appointment to confirm appointment, left message. At 11:25AM I received a call that he would not be able to make the appointment at all. He offered to reschedule for sometime the following week. This is on a Thursday morning. I probably will not utilize services of this company in the future.

Unfortunately my experience working with Roman was not very pleasant. In my opinion the job is not done until inspection passes. I assumed Roman was not expecting to get paid in full but I was wrong. To my surprise he demanded full payment and after some arguing back and fort about who is responsible for the inspection, he bluntly told me that it is my responsibility and he expects to get paid in full prior to inspection completion and that?s how he does business in this area. Roman seems to be a good plumber but I won?t hire him back because of his brusque manners and business ethics.

Roman did a great job and certainly lived up to the high expectations set by all of his great Angie's List reviews!! Our water heater in our attic started leaking, so we called R&S on a Thursday night and left a message. Roman called us back promptly that night, gave us some advice, and came out on Friday to take a look at things. We discussed our options with him, and he gave us an estimate (which ended up being the final price). He came back Saturday morning to do the job. The whole job was done by mid-afternoon, and we had hot water again. His electrician came out about a week later to replace the temporary extension cord to the water heater with a permanent outlet (also included in the estimate). Roman's knowledge about plumbing and tankless water heaters was exceptional, and the quality of his work was excellent. Plus, with everyone trying to get their tankless water heaters installed in time to receive the 2010 tax credit, he was so busy, but still made time to help us, which we really appreciated. This was my first time to use Angie's List to find someone, and it went so well that I'll probably be a member for life now.

We saw him in the monthly Angie's List magazine and saw how highly rated he was. I have told others that Roman is professionally and very conscientious to get all the details right. He also has a great sense of humor. I have twin 3 year old girls and for the next 5 days they talked about him because they wanted to see him again! We had seen a rebate for a certain brand and asked him about it. He said he did not install it because it was not a good product. He recommended the one he carried and explained the differences between the 2 and what would fit our 5 member household best. We took his recommendation on which one to get. We love it! I can't tell you how many times I used to run out of hot water when I showered after my husband. I can take a 20 minute shower after him, wash clothes, do dishes and never run out of hot water. He removed the old hot water heater and disposed of it for us. He is seriously an A+ on everything! We actually used him last Thanksgiving Day for an emergency and he did not charge us extra. When we wanted to upgrade the hot water heater, we knew he was the one to call. He is our man!

Roman did a good job at a good price. He's got that solid German craftsman approach to his work and can be brusque but he knows what he's doing and does it right.

His price was reasonable. The quality of work is very good. I called that morning and he was there a couple hours later - I told him there wasn't any hurry - I'd lived with this for awhile - I was just hoping to get on his schedule. We would definitely use his service again.

Roman definitely knows what he is doing. He is a very experienced plumber. He was very knowledgeable, fast, and effective, and offered good advice. He got the job done well at a good price. We've had no problems since. I would definitely recommend him for all your plumbing needs.

We discovered that the hot and cold hookups in our laundry room were rusted when our washer and dryer were delivered and the delivery men could not hook them up. They instructed us to contact a plumber to replace the hot and cold valves. We contacted R & S Plumbing on 09/14/2010 and they came out the following day to perform the work. They were prompt and professional and took care of the plumbing issue. We thought the cost was reasonable and we would use them again.

Roman was very reliable. He showed up when he was scheduled and was extremely professional. Overall he did an excellent job.

Roman Kaukereit of R & S Plumbing is OUTSTANDING! After being gone all weekend, the last thing that I wanted to find when arrived home was a flooded garage. I called Roman. He informed me that the present hot water tank was gone and temporally fixed the problem for the evening. He presented my options-another tank heater or a tankless. The pros and cons were explained well. He temporarily fixed the problem for the evening and insisted that I ponder the options so that I would be comfortable with my decision. I called him the next morning with my decision and my new tankless heater was in and working by the time I arrived home from work. Roman is kind, straight forward and honest, dependable and efficient. I deal with service professionals at home and at work. Roman is by far one of the best professionals I have worked with. I highly recommend him!

I had water leaking from a light fixture in the kitchen. My family and I were scheduled to leave town early the next day. I called Roman at 4:00 pm on the day before we were leaving and an hour later he was there. He quickly located the problem, a bad seal on the guest toilet, and got the leak stopped for me. Although he couldn't fix the toilet that night due to a part that had to be ordered,he was back over to fix it as soon as we returned from our trip. Roman was a pleasure to work with and I felt like he really knew what he was doing!

Roman did repairs to a rental that I owned after the renters left. Instead or re-renting the home I put it up for sale. When a potential buyer hired an inspector, the neck pipe leaked and the dishwasher installation did not meet code.

He did a great job, and was very quick. Got in and got the job done.

Sent email on 9/02 explaining problem and asking if they were interested in taking a look and submitting a quote. Roman called on 9/03 and asked me what the problem was (this was included in my email) when I started to explain he interupted and asked where I was located (which of course was also in my email) I informed him and he said he doesn't go to my area as it is too far. Told him I was glad his business was so that 23 miles was too far and said goodbuy. He called later and left a message saying he was at the doctors when he was talking to me and I should have given him time to explain the whole situation. (not sure what all that meant) At any rate I considered him rude and unprofessional and he is the first respondent from angies list who called and had obviously not bothered to read my email.

He is awesome. He's on time and reasonably priced. He's a great human being. He is trustworthy and funny. I would never use anyone else for my plumbing needs.

If you know exactly what you want, Roman is perfect for you. If you need a little more hand-holding, he is not the guy for you. His brusque manner did not make for a pleasant experience for me personally.

Roman was careful to make sure he committed to a time when he was sure he would be able to come. He warned me that he might not be able to repair the problem and might have to do a more costly replacement, but he worked at the problem until he got it corrected. I was perfectly satisfied with his service.

Went GREAT. Very nice, responsive and on time. I will use Roman again when a plumbing need comes up.

We had two great experiences with Roman. When we called to schedule a time for him to come by, we were pleasantly surprised that he would be able to come the very next day. He arrived on time and did exactly what we needed him to do. In addition to doing a good job, he was courteous and personable. We were very satisfied and would definitely hire him for future plumbing jobs.

He did arrive on time. he cleaned well after his work. He also cheked the other two toilet tanks to make sure they were functioning properly. The whole work took less than one hour. We had agreed on $25 charge for him to come from Carry to Chapel Hill. I the bill he stated $10 for the part and $90 for laber. I had not asked him about his rate however $90 for less than an hour work is ttoo much.
