Metropolitan Organizing

I'm a professional organizer myself and had used the services of my colleague, Geralin Thomas of Metropolitan Organizing, remotely (via phone and email) for enhancing my professional wardrobe. When I learned that she was going to be in St. Louis for a conference, I asked her to help me in person both in my closet and in building wardrobe capsules. She was professional, non-judgmental, witty and wise. She helped me pare my clothing down to those items that were of high quality and flattering. She then helped me purchase items that brought everything together, so that I could create multiple outfits from the pieces I owned, with minimal additions. During the closet organizing session in my home, Geralin convinced me to try some techniques (like organizing by color) that I had eschewed. I now love my color-coded closet and recommend it to almost all of my clients. Thanks to the foundation principles Geralin taught me, my closet has remained pared down and organized and I'm able to put together outfits and maintain my professional image. I would (and do) recommend Metropolitan Organizing in a heartbeat.

The staff are well-educated and respectful of your home and your decisions to discard or keep items. I have used them in the past and will use them again and again. There is complete trust and I do not have to oversee every step of the process if I am not available. They are efficient and do not need direction other than my imput regarding recommened items to purge. My closet is like something out of a magazine now. Metropolitan Organizing provided beautiful shoe boxes and pictures they had taken of my shoes to view from an incorporated slot at the end of the box. In addition, my closet is color coordinated by catagory For Example: casual, business, formal etc; within that catagory it is also organized by dresses, pants, tops and so on. When friends ask to see the house, I always proudly include my closet on the tour.

The team did a fabulous job! They were on time and prepared to work. They were very attentive when listening to what I wanted done and offered their professional suggestions in a very tactful manner. They were very respectful of my decisions on what I wanted to keep, donate or trash. I probably could have tackled these jobs myself, but there's no way I could have accomplished what they did and in such a timley manner. I called other companies when I decided to get help with my organizing projects and I will say that even though they were not the least expensive, I believe I got a great value for my money. Once again, another example of "you get what you pay for".
