Description of Work: Replaced my sliding glass door that opens onto the deck. The job went well. There was no unnecessary mess or holes in the plaster.

Description of Work: I had Kelly replace all the windows in the house. The two guys who came out here were very professional very punctual and very friendly. They seem to have done a good job. However, I am extremely detail oriented and some things aren't up to my extremely picky nature. However, I let them go because I know I am over-the-top. Will see how these windows hold out over time and that will determine if I use Kelly in the future or not. As of right now I'm overall happy with the job they did.

Description of Work: Back in May, 2008, we had Kelly Window and Door replace a large quantity of windows in our older 1960's concrete block home. We were please to use their services again in November, 2008 to replace our front entrance door, a screened door and our kitchen door, all of which were original to the home. My husband went over to one of the 'big box stores' to check on the pricing of the doors, so we could compare prices. After that, we called Kelly. The salesman scheduled a time with us and he was punctual. We chose two of the same style doors, insulated steel, with double pane window inserts, with Argon gas between the panes, to allow for light and to be able to easily see anyone at the door. We paid a deposit of 50% down. We already had a storm door only a few years old on our kitchen so we only needed to replace the one on our front entrance. I have chosen specific colors for the house and the doors which the manufacturer of the doors did not have. I'm a very hands on person and have no problem in doing painting and refurbishing myself. Mike and a couple of the guys came out and looked and measured and remeasured to double check on the exact sizing. Since our home is all concrete block, we have steel frames in all the door facings. These had to be cut out and have new wood frames built and installed for the new doors to fit into. Because the door manufacturer didn't have a paint color that was close to what I wanted on the outside, Mike suggested I buy my color and when the doors came in, they would give me a call. I could come to their location and, at my convenience, paint the doors whatever color I chose. I had no problem with this since I am doing all the interior painting and repair work in our home myself. I bought my paint and primer, etc. and when the doors came in they called me. They had hung the doors on a wall so that the doors easily swung back and forth. They laid down sheets of foam insulation on the floor to catch any paint or primer drips. It also made it easy for clean up and to walk on. They set out a chair for me and a ladder. I was set! The doors came from the factory with a tan primer, but being an artist, I know that to see a true color, you need to apply a white primer coat and make sure you have a good solid coverage. Otherwise the color of tan will show through. Over a period of two days, I primed and painted the two doors. When I was finished, they looked GORGEOUS! I was so pleased! I had told Mr. Kelly, Sr., that the inside of the doors had been ordered with a finished white paint, but they were also in tan. He said that was no problem! He would see to it that the doors would be primed and painted white before they were delivered. He was as good as his word. I brought over a can of the same white interior paint I am using on the inside and Scott re-primed the doors in white and then painted them. He returned my can of paint to me when he delivered the doors.

Description of Work: We interviewed several companies to replace a large Palladian window in the second story of our foyer that leaked when rain hit the front of the house. The salesperson from Kelly was very prompt and professional and explained everything thoroughly. We thought their price was fair and we liked the fact that the window came with a lifetime guarantee, which would convey with the property if we ever sell our home. They took out the old window and replaced it with a new custom window, and sealed the window. This was not easy since this was at the top of a two-story foyer.

Description of Work: Kelly Window and Door provided and installed 13 vinyl-frame replacement windows in our home. Debris resulting from the project was cleaned up and all the old windows, screens and debris were hauled away.

Description of Work: We have a masonry block home built in 1960. We had 16 windows to replace. All were single pane; some were jalousie crank windows that leaked air year round. We wanted them all replaced. We called in a number of people for estimates and almost started to go with another company, until I read Angie's List and saw the problems others had with them with communication. We chose Kelly based on Angie's List and the recommendation from other customer's who recommended Kelly Window and Door to us - names and phone numbers of satisfied customers. Anytime a business is eager for you to check with previous customers, that is always the best recommendation.

Description of Work: They replaced 27 windows in my house with vinyl windows (7 picture windows, 2 half round windows and 18 double hung windows) and my back patio door with a fiberglass patio door. The outside trim around the windows was also aluminum cladded and vinyl cladding was placed around the back patio door trim.
