Kelly is a local (cary) business and their price was lower than competitors.

The initial consultation was thorough, with Mike Kelly answering all my questions. Options were given based on various styles and features. Once ordered, it took 7.5 weeks for the Sunrise custom door to be built, within the estimate given at the time of purchase. The installers were prompt, arriving at my house on time as promised (very important for me). They explained what they were going to do, and then got to work. They took extra steps (grinding back my floor tile) to ensure the door would install as needed. They were diligent as they worked, and took the old doors away. My wife and I are very pleased with the additional space we now have. The door appears to be very well constructed, and will lower our heating/air conditioning costs. The blinds built into the glass are exactly what we wanted to either provide privacy at night, or let the sun in during the day.

A year ago, I searched for quality replacement windows for our 1900 sq foot 1996 built home that has 23 windows. After being unsatisfied with the local companies that pushed the cheaper windows, I found Kelly Window and Door on Angie's list. When I called, I spoke with Mike Kelly who initially told me they didn't have Fayetteville in their service area. I expressed my disappointment because the Angie's List reviews had been glowing about their product and their service. Upon further discussion, Mike agreed to give us an estimate based on the extent of our replacement needs (23 windows). Mike arrived as scheduled and further educated us about the windows, the benefit of the e-coating and other ways to decrease the heat transfer/loss. We also decided to replace our back door that had been replaced three other times by the big box stores yet still hung so poorly that you could see light around the side of the door. After measuring the windows and determining cost, we decided to replace half the windows and the door last year (approx $8000). This year, we replaced the remaining windows. Mike came out again and measured for the new windows. We also spoke with him about repairs needed to the window cladding due to the April hail damage. The windows were manufactured to our needs and approximately 6 weeks later a date for installation was determined. The first year, a window team and a door team were sent for the install and they were done in one day. This year a window team was sent and the windows were installed in two days. This second install included mostly second floor windows and they also had to re-clad six windows damaged by hail. We have noticed savings in our heating/AC costs as well as decreased external noise. I cannot express how pleased I am with not only the quality of the product but with the friendliness and efficiency of the employees. From first contact with Mike to followup calls by Bruce, I can not find one area where Kelly Window and Door did not exceed our expectations. The installers were friendly, professional, competent and actually took care of my home. As they removed old windows, they vacuumed up any debris. The care and respect they showed to us and our home should be emulated by others in the service industry.

Kelly Window & Door was one of four companies that provided a quote to replace our kitchen door (including transom). Mike Kelly arrived on time on the agreed to date. He brought all of the information necessary to educate me on doors and the installation process. Mike spent a substantial amount of time with me to ensure I understood the product and answer any questions I had. There was no pressure at all to sign a contract during his visit. It was obvious Mike takes great pride in his company. Subsequent to his visit, I had a couple of more questions that were answered via email in a very timely manner. Ultimately, we decided to contract with Kelly Window & Door. We were told, prior to signing the contract, to expect a lead time of 6 to 8 weeks for installation. They were right on target and made it very easy to schedule the installation. On the day the installation was scheduled to start, the team showed up on time ready to go. They described exactly what they were going to do, and then did it. They were very thorough with all aspects of the job. When they were done, they cleaned both the inside and outside of the area so well, you couldn't tell they had been there. A couple of days later, Kelly Window & Door called to follow-up and make sure we were completely satisfied with the work that had been done. We are VERY satisfied! Mike Kelly and his team are true professionals!

I met with about half a dozen window companies before I selected Kelly. Although they were not the cheapest, I felt I could trust Kelly to handle the custom work that was going to be required with this installation. They went out of their way to listen to my concerns and assist me in getting the details right. I highly recommend them and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Even my kitties are mesmerized by the beauty of my new window (see attached picture).

We had 3 companies bring sample windows and give estimates and chose Kelly based on product selection, warranties, and multi-generation family owned business. Since they couldn't bring samples of all their products, it was nice they have a showroom which is the only way to compare multiple products at once. After that visit I changed the window choice to Sunrise. Since it was a custom order with different color interior and exterior, we were told the windows would take longer, but it was worth it to match existing exterior trim. Installation was done over 2 extremely cold days. Workers got right down to business, tearing out old aluminum storms and windows, then David did his excellent craftsmanship fitting the aluminum outside trim, caulking, etc. in sub freezing weather. Good communication; they gave us a call every step. The new casement window in the kitchen had a few smudges we wouldn't remove, and the windows was actually replaced at their suggestion. The uninterrupted glass expanse really shows the view of backyard and we love it! Ease of cleaning replacement windows is one of the main reasons we love them.

The replacement of the old windows went very, very smoothly. My property was carefully protected and there was no accidental damage to anything. The cladding of the brick mould and window sills in aluminum could only be described as artisan. There was incredible attention to detail with beautiful results. The Sunrise windows selected are of high quality and the low "e" coating has brought an immediate reduction in heat build up on the south side of the house. The installers, Brian and Brooks, are employees of the company. They answered all of my questions during the two days I was present while the windows were being installed. They were very prompt and always courteous. This was one of the most pain free remodeling projects I have every experienced. I highly recommend!

Doors are very expensive. The price was good. I was very happy with them.

The project went so smoothly and we LOVE our new door. Scott and Jessie took out our old door, 2 panel and installed the new 3 panel sliding door. Scott explained the process step by step, since they had to cut into the existing wall and install a new header. I was impressed with their attention to detail, quality of work and most importantly clean-up. I bought them lunch because I so pleased! After the door was installed Scott explained the details and features, answered all my questions. Very pleasant experience! The project took days and when they left they was no sign they had been there except for the new door. I felt so comfortable with them I left them I left them at my home while I ran errands.

We obtained quotes for both steel and fiberglass. We have not pursued a front door replacement due to the cost which was $4700-$5600 but would consider Kelly for windows and other projects.

Very happy with the products installed and the service provided by Kelly Windows and Doors. We had water coming under our front door sometimes when it rained and it was very drafty around the door. The new door has a great seal and no more air leaks around the door or water coming in under the door, plus the new door looks awesome. Great attention to detail when the door was installed. The installer took his time and made sure everything was perfect when he was done. The new gutters and downspouts are a bigger size than what we had previous on the house, and with the gutter guards we no longer have clogged gutters. They also recommended that we add 2 new downspouts in a few trouble areas and now the water flows much better, especially if we have a down pour. I would highly recommend Kelly Windows and Doors. It was a real pleasure to work with a company that truly cares about their client and offers professional service.

Mike Kelly was great at explaining the various windows that they sell and the various features of the windows. He even made an appointment with a previous customer so that we could see the windows installed in a house with brick similar to ours. That appointment really helped us to visualize these windows in our home. Mike was very patient, no pressure, and answered all of our questions. The windows were installed when they said that they would be, and the crew was very pleasant, professional and easy to work with. They cleaned up the job site every day and worked like they cared about the job that they did. They paid attention to detail and made sure I was happy. I would highly recommend Mike Kelly Windows and Doors. It was a real pleasure to work with a company that does not pressure you, stands behind their product and truly cares about the client. Love the new windows......the house was warmer in the winter and the air conditioner did not run as much this past summer. An added bonus, they are so easy to clean.

Kelly gave us a decent estimate on an excellent window product. We were impressed with the ethics and professionalism of everyone we dealt with. There was a long wait from the contract signing to the installation, but Kelly is doing great business right now and we knew this upfront. On the day of the installation, the installers arrived early, worked long and hard, and finished the project on the same day, just as promised. The results were excellent. Cleanup was thorough. Kelly even took full responsibility for damage to our vertical blinds that occurred and graciously offered to make us whole. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and these fine people to anyone wanting quality doors and windows, but more importantly because of the honest and responsible people who work there.

Promptly returned my call, made an appointment later in the evening that was convenient for my husband and I. Very professional. Gave us a great price. We had some extra issues with siding, woodwork around the windows so we decided to go with a different company that was also a general contractor, but that was the only reason we chose someone else.

I called to see if they would just do screens for our house and was told that they do not do just screens. However, he gave me a number of a company that could help me without even asking. That is what you call service.

Arrived on time. Asked my name and remembered it. Got right to work. Cleaned up after themselves. Would be nice if they had a vacuum for inside cleanup....not much of a mess. Only complaint was from our rise-at-the- crack of-noon-princess. Hammering was too loud. Bummer for her.

They were outstanding in every way. They were good to work with. They were a bit more expensive than other people but they more than made it up for in service and in coming back and checking and ensuring that we were totally satisfied. While I think they were expensive, I think they were worth it. I've referred them to many people already.

Mike was great to work with and whiling to make sure the job was done right. When an issue arose he called us and fixed the problem.

I needed an estimate to replace/repair my front door after it was damaged. I spoke with someone named Zac P. who promised to speak with the owner, Mike and provide me written estimate by the next morning. Well after not hearing back for two days, I contacted Zac for the estimate , who nonchalantly said that he thought he sent it. Well what I got was a personal email letter. Not an estimate. Not itemized. Not what I needed to replace. and Not on company letterhead. It was totally unprofessional! After explaining beforehand that I needed an itemized written estimate ASAP for an insurance claim, what I waited days for, was worthless. I would think that a reputable company would know how to write an estimate, not a few lines on an email telling me how sorry they are about my door.

Well pleased with the results. Bruce was very helpful in reviewing our needs and scheduling work prior to our painting. Scott did a great job on the installation work. Even willing to assist with other requests for minor adjustments on doors installed previously.

Service was provided as promised. They finished in one day and did quality work.

The job was flawless, the technicians arrived right on time and worked very efficiently. The windows looks great, and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Kelly Window and Door is an excellent company to work with. They did everything professionally and with great attention to detail. One of the best contractors I have ever used. I highly recommend Kelly Window and Door for any of your door needs. I cannot write a review on windows, but if I ever need window work I know who to call.

The principal of the firm, Mr. Kelly worked with us directly, and was very friendly, direct, and honest about pros and cons of their own products and comparable products and services. He was able to meet us at home and at work to finalize arrangements. The workers were prompt, and flexible about scheduling. The differences in draft, energy use, etc. were immediate and substantial. The change from traditional multi-paned windows with mullions to windows with a single pane for each sash really improves the light transmission, a big plus for a house in a heavily wooded lot, even in North Carolina. We would use Kelly Window & Door again without hesitation.
