They were prompt, professional, and fast. Our floors look great, and we are beyond thankful for the work they have done for us.
Description of Work: They tore out and replaced a new floor that was professionally, but poorly put in. The install consisted of almost our entire first floor to include the kitchen and laundry room.

Description of Work: They are a Lumber Liquidators approved contractor. Came to the property, measured and provided an estimate to install bamboo flooring. Didn't use their service because I decided to use the same company that was doing my other renovations.

I highly recommend this company. We purchased our flooring from Lumber Liquidators, and they recommended this company for installation. Unfortunately, my experience with Lumber Liquidators was horrible?but my experience with Kcannegall Flooring was wonderful. Lumber Liquidators pulled a bait and switch. In the store they showed us Bella Patagonian Rosewood and provided us a sample to take home?with the Bella label on it. When the flooring was delivered, the boxes were not labeled with the Bella name, but I made the mistake of believing that they were what I bought. When the Kcannagell crew to install my 1800 sq. ft. of flooring, they started by ripping out the existing 13 year old carpeting and small areas of hardwood we were replacing. When they began installing the new hardwood, they came to show me that the wood Lumber Liquidators had provided was job lot. It was splitting easily as they placed and stapled it. While there were a few pieces as long as 48", most pieces were 12 to 15". There were surface defects, and many split or broken pieces in the boxes. Finally, they showed us how the finish on the wood was thinner than that on the sample?and had a guarantee of only 10 years vs. Bella's 100 years. They suggested that we not accept the wood, and called Lumber Liquidators on our behalf. It was very clear that they didn't want to do a second rate job. Lumber Liquidators denied that the wood they sent was job lot, even though the Kcannagell installer argued with them. We also spoke with Lumber Liquidators and they refused to do anything short of sending us another case of Bella wood cleaner for our trouble. Now we were left with a decision. To install the flooring, it had been necessary to pack and remove everything from our home except for the heavy furniture. Since the old flooring had already been ripped out, we really needed to get the new flooring in to be able to get back to normal. So we gave the go-ahead to complete the installation. The Kcannagell team was careful about not using the bad pieces of wood. They worked straight through from 7:30 AM to 10 PM with only quick stops to grab a bite?and finished the job. Considering what they had to work with, they did a beautiful job. Even when we asked them to do something a little differently, they worked with us and were cordial, professional, and easy to talk to. And to say they worked hard is an understatement. I've since recommended them to other people I know, and I have no doubt they'll be happy with the workmanship.

We purchased the Qing Dragon Strand Bamboo from Lumber Liquidators and were recommended to this installer which contacted us after our order arrived roughly two weeks later. He made sure that installation would not start no earlier than one week after delivery of the wood to my home to allow it to acclimate. We made arrangements for the work to be completed after the recommended time and we put a 50% deposit down for installation. Communication from the company was great through phone calls and e-mails all the way through to completion. The team arrived at 7:00 AM sharp and got to work immediately, they came with a team of seven gentlemen and worked like machines and never took a break. They ripped up old carpet, laminate, and vinyl flooring quickly and moved our furniture gently. They started laying the floors and immediately I knew that this project was well worth the $11,000 we spent for materials, delivery, and installation. The work performed down to the trims and cuts were clean, precise, and professional. They completed the install at 3:00 PM and the balance due was paid then. We are very much pleased with the installation and our choice of bamboo and highly recommend this installer for your flooring project.

I received their contact information from Raleigh Lumber Liquidators. I checked Angie's List. They had positive reviews so I used them. It was a big job so I wasn't taking any chances. They were punctual for the estimate appointment and thorough when they provided an itemized estimate. Lots of measurements, questions and notes. I was skeptical that could really finish all those rooms in one day but they reassured me they could. There were lots of challenges to this installation--not only sure scale but existing old tile to be removed in two large areas, removal of existing subflooring, moving a piano, etc. Also because it was covering most of the rooms on our first floor, we really couldn't move furniture out of their way---no empty rooms to put it. They ended up calling a day before their installation date because they had a cancellation. Said they could do it that day if we were comfortable with it. Was fine with us. I was amazed at how efficiently they got out the existing tile, removed subfloors, moved furniture (including heavy piano) as they went along. They (5-6 guys) all worked like a machine. Finish work was great. The hardwoods look wonderful. And they finished all in one day just as they promised. I will definitely call them again went we're ready to install hardwoods in our kitchen. (They recommended we wait until we knew the new kitchen layout, for sure, before we had them do the install. I appreciated this insight from them.)

They were difficult to get a hold of on the phone, but services were great. They do not finish floors, so I then had to hire another person to do that. Overall a fine experience, but not as quick and easy as I had hoped.

I chose Kcannagell Flooring because they were recommended by the Durham Lumber Liquidators and by reviews in Angie?s list. Wender was helpful on the phone, and Casio was right on time for the estimate. Installation of 290 square feet of bamboo flooring and trim by a father-son team began on time at 0715 and was completed to perfection by 1115. The crew was professional, and they cleaned up well after themselves.
Description of Work: Install 290 square feet of bamboo flooring plus trim in two bedrooms. My investment was $1746 in material, $725 in labor, plus a $60 tip.

I received their information from Lumber Liquidators when I went floor shopping. I called them to get an estimate on the flooring installation. They came to do the estimate within a week and they provided a detailed written estimated and provided a detailed listing of the materials I would need to purchase and in the exact quantities. They also provided the information I needed to prepare the floors for installation. When i was ready for the installation, i gave them a call to setup the appointment; they confirmed the floors were in the home for at least a week and I had an appointment within 10 days. i had to pay half upfront when the appointment was made and the balance after completion. Three gentleman arrived on time at 8am and worked until 4:30 with an hour break for lunch. They were all about getting the job done. While one was working in the dining room, the other was pulling up the hardwood floor in the foyer and the third outside cutting pieces of the flooring. When they were done, they cleaned up everything. The removed the old flooring, swept up any dust and replaced anything they had moved to do the job. The final price was exactly what was quoted and I paid the balance once I inspected and approved the flooring. I love my new floors!
Description of Work: I had Bamboo hardwood flooring installed in my formal dining room and foyer; they had to remove the Oak hardwoods in the foyer before they could begin to lay the new floor.

They were right on time, both with the measurement appointment and the install. They were very efficient in the work and left everything very clean. They swept up all the dust afterward and the floor is beautiful! They completed it all within 2 1/2 hours. I am very happy and will definitely use them in the future.
Description of Work: Installed a 12mm Laminate floating floor in living room (315 square feet), installed quarter-round and reducer. We opted to tear out the carpet ourselves. That was quoted at $157.00 for them to do it.

Excellent. Two person team arrived on time and were exceedingly polite and knowledgeable. They took up old carpet, pad and staples. Installed new flooring, including shoe molding. They cleaned up after themselves and did an excellent job at matching the floor level to the fireplace marble hearth. They were meticulous about filling in finish nail holes left over from the install of the shoe molding. Highly recommended, I would hire them again with no qualms whatsoever! Very professional.

It turned out great! I talked with 6 different contractors and finally settled on them. They had pretty good references on Angie's List. I found their work to be excellent. They were very professional, courteous, considerate, and helpful. I have 27 years expereince in construction management, and I found their work to be exemplary.

Awesome job! These guys came out on very short notice to complete a job after my first contractor had been fired. The amount that I was quoted for the job was very reasonable, and they were able to start the job the same day. The job was completed quickly and my floors look great. They also moved all of my furniture both to put down half of the floors and back to were it belonged (which was great because I was expected to move everything myself for the first guy that I hired) and cleaned up very well before leaving. They are extremely professional business and I couldn't ask for better quality.

Representative took plenty of time to discuss exact specifications and provided a clear estimate. Homeowner and representative discussed desire floor color in excruciating detail (and provided a sample piece of wood for color matching). The floors were a different color entirely. Transition strips were mis-matched and bowed up. Portions of the floor were sloped at transition points due to poor sanding and complete lack of prep work on the sub-floors. Sanding prior to finishing was cursory, at best, and failed to smooth out the floor in between boards (individual boards are stick out a little). Shoe molding was not painted nor were the staple holes filled (As was promised during the bid). Contractor returned to look over the work with the homeowner and refused to fix ANY of the problems and threatened a lien if the homeowner did not pay on demand.
Description of Work: Install, sand, stain, finish 1000+ sq ft of 3/4" White Oak. Owner performed demo of old floor.
