JNJ Dryer Vent Cleaning

Excellent work done by a personable professional. This company is owned by firefighters and I am totally on board with supporting them in a positive way. These guys are GREAT.

It was a great experience. I initially called and spoke with Brian to schedule the dryer vent cleaning. Brian and Pete came out and during the cleaning discovered a problem with the vent. The vent had actually collapsed and was not connected to the outside of the house. They called Jimmy, the owner, and consulted with him. Jimmy then called and wanted to come out to look at the vent, which he did. From there, Jimmy prepared an estimate and proposed a way to fix the problem. We then scheduled an appointment for Jimmy to come back out, and we were very pleased with the work performed. Jimmy and his team were very responsive and worked very hard to find a solution! Will definitely call them going forward to perform dryer vent cleaning.

The tech(Fireman) gave me early notice, was on time and did the work quickly and well. There were no hitches of any kind. I couldn't have asked for better service. I won't hesitate to use them again.

J&J is the real deal. The gentleman who cleaned my vent is a firefighter and a heck of a nice man. My dryer vent line is on the second story of my house and is 37 feet long. Excellent service! I panicked on a Sunday morning when I discovered birds were building a nest in my dryer vent. I emailed a couple of companies and Jimmy from JNJ was the only one to respond to me on Sunday. He was able to schedule me for the very next day. He was quick and efficient. Left the area cleaner than he found it and the price was very fair.

he came on time. Checked all the possibilities for blockage. Carefully moved the dryer. Cleaned out the vent. Cleaned up the whole area after the work was completed. He was friendly and courteous. A thorough and professional job. I plan to have JNJ due proper maintenance on my dryer vent. The dryer performs better now. I would recommend them to anyone.

Jimmy came to clean my dryer vent last winter. That went well. He said i needed a different type of vent cover on the outside of the house and i agreed to let him do that for an additional charge. While replacing the vent cap, he broke the vinyl trim on my house. He very professionally said he would replace it at no cost to me. He let me know later that the color trim I needed had to be ordered from low's and it would be in in about 1 week. I have called and emailed Jimmy for the last 6 months. First he said he got busy at work, then he said he thought it had been done and was sending someone to fix it. Now he does not answer my emails. I could not even get an answer as to whether or not he had even picked up the trim from lowe's last winter. Lots of excuses, no results. This experience has been very frustrating and due to Jimmy's unwillingness to repair the damage he did to my home, I can not recommend his services.

JNJ promptly called to schedule an appointment. On the day of the appointment, they called 30 minutes before to let me know they were on their way and they arrived about 5 minutes before their scheduled time. The gentleman was very professional and did a great job. I was not having any problems with my dryer, I was just doing preventative maintenance.

I contacted this provider by his telephone number, and he did not respond even though I left my phone info. I then left a message for him on Angie's List, and he did respond. He told me that he was a full-time firefighter, which is why he did not return my call more quickly. He said he would contact me on Saturday to arrange a time to do the work. He NEVER contacted me. After several days, I left another message on Angie's List telling him I was still interested in getting the work done. HE NEVER MESSAGED ME OR CALLED ME. I understand he may have been busy, so if he was not interested in doing the work, he SHOULD have messaged me on Angie's List or called me. It's unacceptable to simply not respond!

When I called to make an appointment for the dryer vent cleaning, Jimmy - the owner - answered the phone and scheduled my appointment. He was very friendly and professional, and I found his prices to be extremely reasonable ($45-55 flat rate). Jimmy worked quickly when he arrived for the appointment, even working up against a thistle bush to ensure the vent was properly cleaned. He discovered our vent had been painted shut by the previous owners - we had no idea! This meant that lint had been accumulating in our vent, and this caused our dryer to work inefficiently. Jimmy took care of everything within 30 minutes, and also gave us the estimate on replacing the exterior vent flaps with a new hood (only $45). Will definitely use his company again!

This was a very smooth job. Jimmy arrived on time and immediately began working. He immediately noticed that the dryer vent was incorrectly installed and said he would take care of that problem once the vent was cleaned out. He cleaned the vent from both the inside and outside, in spite of the extremely cold weather. Once the hose was all cleaned out, he reinstalled the dryer and showed us how much the air flow had increased after cleaning and proper installation. Jimmy was courteous and professional, and I will definitely use him again in the future.

My new dryer was turning itself off with its sensors that identified a blockage. Jimmy found the blockage a few feet from the exit duct and cleared it - then proceeded to perform a thorough cleaning of the entire dryer vent system. The amount of trapped and compacted lint was a surprise to me - Surprise that it hadn't had a fire - Best $55 I have ever spent on my family's safety.

He was polite and professional. He had a lot of experience with my type of dryer and vent. He finished quickly. He even suggested a simple, inexpensive repair to improve the efficiency and safety of the dryer which he completed for a small additional charge. I've already put him on my calendar to come back to clean the vent again next year!

I could not have been more pleased with Jimmy and his service. There was excellent communication in scheduling the service. While here, he was very professional and worked with great efficiency. However, his demeanor and dedication to job satisfaction were evident is how much time he spent teaching about how to care for my dryer and what I could do to keep the venting system clean and avoid potential fire hazards. I have recommended Jimmy to several others and intend to use him again myself. I am his customer for life.

Jimmy was great! He made the entire process as easy for me as possible. He checked the dryer/vent inside and outside, cleaned the vent//duct via the outside (2nd floor) vent opening, assured me everything was safe - and offered to fix the vent cover which was disintegrated from age/weather. I gave him the money for a new vent cover and he said he would purchase the cover and return to install it.. When he returned with the standard vent cover, it didn't fit the 20 year old vent. So he took that back and got another vent cover/louvers which did fit. This meant 3 trips to my home and 3 trips up and down the ladder - all for the price of the initial cleaning . This is the second year that we have used J&J Dryer Vent Cleaning. Jimmy has done a superior job both times. We have pets and we routinely wash and dry their blankets. I am sure to have the vents cleaned every year due to the animal hair that accumulates on top of the normal buildup. I did have a problem getting a hold of him through his online contact form. I eventually called and he informed me that he was having some problems with that. Once we hooked up we got it scheduled and he arrived promptly and did the work quickly. He leaves no mess behind. You wouldn't even know he had been there. I feel confident in his knowledge as a firefighter and will continue to use his services.

While inspecting the system, he noted that our old dryer hose was crimped and had a hole that was spewing lint onto the wall behind the dryer. He told me that he could replace it or I could do it myself; he just wanted to recommend that I switch it out. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the additional charge to replace it, including the part, was what I would have paid if I had purchased the part myself and had to do the work! Before he was done, he asked me to come upstairs so he could show me what he had done. At that time, he showed me the damaged hose as well. I was very impressed by his professionalism and his business integrity. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, getting me back to work on time. I will be passing his name on to friends and neighbors!

Jimmy (the owner) came to my house on time and was very friendly and professional. He cleaned out my dryer vent and then took the time to explain different dryer pipes and suggested a flexible pipe that might work better in my particular situation. He also cleaned up the area thoroughly and checked to make sure there were no leaks after reclamping the pipe. It is clear that he cares about doing a good job. He also suggested that I might be able to go as long as 2 years before cleaning it again. I highly recommend Jimmy and his company for your dryer vent cleaning needs.

Arrived on time. Walked me through exactly what he was going to do. Very efficient, polite and friendly. Showed me that the brush went through the entire vent. Cleaned up after the completing the job. Would use JNJ again, but he indicated, for our amount of dryer use, we would need to repeat in 2-3 years.
