I have used many contractors over the years of owning homes but none of them have compared to the quality of Jesco. Jimmy Smith runs a very well run crew of workers that are committed to doing the job right. The crew shows up promptly at 7:30am and they work until they complete the objective for the day. Once they are completed for they day, they do a very thorough clean up and you wouldn't know they were there. After removing all of the siding from my home, I was not able to find any damage to shrubs, any nails in the lawn or any other debris. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations in every way. Jesco added details such as blocks to make the light fixtures stand out properly from the siding really make the difference. When it's all completed, they hand painted primer and two coats of final color. It makes a difference, I had the work completed 6-years ago and it looks as good today as it did the day they completed it. It may be challenging to get on their schedule but, be patient - It is worth the wait. Lastly, I met Jimmy through some work that I was doing at Panthercreek High School. I was volunteering time to build the dugouts for the softball team. After several months, I wasn't making much progress when Kathy approached me on the field. I didn't know who she was but she introduced herself and said that a family friend mentioned that I was struggling. She offered to have their crew come over and build the dugouts. The following Saturday, the entire Jesco team showed up at 7am and completed the work - for free. They are wonderful people who are committed to the community.
Description of Work: Had entire house resided with all trim replaced. Our home had Masonite which had not been properly cared for and large sections needed to be replaced.

We hired Jesco to come in behind a failed contractor to restart and redo our master bathroom remodel. The previous company had left us a big mess ( see our review for AFrame Plus for details ). We are quite pleased with the results from Jesco and we would definitely recommend them to others and hire them again. It's very clear from their business style, words and actions that Jimmy, Kathy, and their crew are committed to customer satisfaction, quality service, and maintaining a solid reputation. Being that we were very particular about how we wanted things done, and the fact that we were jaded after our previous experience with a bad contractor, we were not the easiest customers to deal with. Jimmy did not let that bother him and in fact went above and beyond our expectations both to ensure we were pleased, as well as to help us restore some trust and confidence in his industry generally. That is, he made it his mission to show us that there are in fact dependable and trustworthy contractors out there. When Jimmy first came to look at our job, the first thing he said was "I am so sorry to see that this happened to you." The workmanship and professionalism of his crew were amazing. The first thing they did was come and clean up our garage and the room they were remodeling, getting rid of the mess and debris left behind by the previous company. Usually on a given day, they were at the house by 7:30 AM, had a crew of anywhere from 2-4 people working, and completed their task for the day within a couple of hours. They were very efficient at getting things done. The tile guy took his time, which was fine with us because our most important concern was that it was done right, and this was one of the most expensive and visible parts of the project. The tile work in the shower and floor was as close to perfect as is humanly possible. They also obtained a building permit, redid previous work that was not up to code, and got all the inspections done. We ran into one setback where they discovered faulty plumbing work done by the previous contractor. They had to cut open the ceiling in the downstairs kitchen to fix it. Then they had to patch the ceiling and repaint it in half of the downstairs since its an open floor plan. They were very fast about overcoming this setback and had it done in 2 days, all the while minimizing the mess made in our house and living space. Our ceiling looked better when they were done than it did before they started. The one thing we would advise is if your are considering Jesco, be patient if you do not hear back from them right away. They are a small company and Jimmy personally manages every project. It took him a while to get back to us with a bid but it was worth the wait. Once we actually scheduled the job and throughout the construction, Jimmy was very accessible and personally on site regularly to inspect the work and to discuss with us what was going to happen, address our concerns, etc. We had collected a few bids before we selected Jesco. Jesco's price was on par with other reputable contractors, and we chose them because we believed they would be the easiest and best people to work with. Keep in mind that a remodel can be both invasive and stressful, and you will (hopefully) be seeing your contractor and crew daily, sometimes when you or your kids are still in pajamas. At the end of the day, you want people who are happy to do what they are doing and who are willing and eager to do things to your satisfaction. We are delighted with our new bathroom and happy that we made the right choice this time around by hiring Jesco.

Jes-co was recommended to me by a neighbor. She has used them several times and has been very happy with their service. I checked them out here on Angies list and filled out a contact form on their website. A couple days later I called and left a message. There has been no response to either of my attempts to set up an appointment for a quote. If something changes, I will update this review. UPDATE: I received an email from JesCo today. It was very apologetic and pleasant. Basically it explained that they have been very busy (which I have heard from all the painters) and due to the fact that they are a very small company, it has taken a while to get back to all the inquiries. It also stated that they would not be able to do an estimate until mid to late April due to the amount of business they have. While I have already chosen a painter, I only felt that it was fair to share this with Angies List users. This company comes highly recommended by a neighbor, so I will consider them again when the need arises. I am raising my overall experience to a C simply due to the fact that they did contact me even if it took a while. I can't say that about all the contractors I've reached out to. Again, spring time is always busy for contractors.
Description of Work: Nothing. They did not contact me. See UPDATE below regarding contact issue.

I've worked with Jimmy Smith and his crew on a few home repair projects over the past 15 years and find him and his crew to be superior in every respect, they arrive when scheduled, work hard every moment, are courteous, efficient, and do very good work. As an example of the crew going the extra distance the painter noticed after the window was installed and freshly painted that the adjacent wall looked a bit shabby by comparison, he asked if I had any matching wall paint and proceeded to paint the wall. The only snag on this recent project was weather related and out of Jimmy's control as Winter weather just wouldn't let go. I had a cheaper estimate from a local window company but am pleased I waited until JESCO was available.
Description of Work: Installed a new 6 panel casement window and all new trim, caulked, puttied, primed and painted two coats on all renovated areas. Installed all new 1X10 no rot trim around window. Replaced approximately 72 ft. of 1X12 roof fascias and 1X4 rake with all no rot materials, primed and painted same. Replaced trim and siding around kitchen window and insured water problem was resolved. Matched cedar siding stain and trim paint, primed and painted two coats. Cleaned up all debris and removed from site.

They were efficient, clean, focused on quality. It seemed like these guys had worked together for decades. I think perhaps they have. The team got things done in a few days and each night they cleaned up and actually my garage was more organized than I had ever seen! The end results was a high quality job - which is what I wanted. I couldn't recommend them more.
Description of Work: I was looking for a high quality ceiling to add insulation and a finished look in my garage.

They were very reasonable on price. They were honest and trustworthy as well. I would have trusted them to come into my home while I was not there. There work is done professionally. They do not make many mistakes and when they do they will fix the work for free.
