Kevin Beddingfield has 20+ years exp. In this window treatment arena and runs this division. Kevin came and gave us an estimate in a very professional and timely manner. He worked with our requirements and had the Plantation Shutters match our custom paint and stain. Kevin came to install the shutters and completed the entire task in record time! We would highly recommend them for any related jobs.

It was a very quick turnaround. They came to measure, and then sent the specs off to get the blinds made. About a week and a half later the blinds were made, and they came to do the work. Everything was installed correctly, and the blinds look great! It was as smooth as can be! This was my first time using them, and would recommend them to anyone!

They were fine. They only replaced little things, but they knew what they were doing. They got right back to me after I purchased the coupon from Angie's List, so very responsive. They were right on time. I would remember if they weren't. They were very nice. They were here for 2 hours doing stuff my husband could not.

'B-/C+' is the real grading. He manages several non-English speaking crews and so the quality of varies and no recourse with the people performing the work. The jobs looks good from afar, but the details are lacking. Many houses here are built with a "carpenter's gap" (google it). The workers did not mention this to me or to James Taylor, the consequence is my roof continues to let in vermin and this is now much more expensive to fix (I offered to pay the difference to fix this, never heard back). The workers also slid down the shingles and there is shingle wear where they slid down on their butts. The roof is functioning correctly, although we have sealed a several popped nails. The siding install was just the siding, the quote apparently did not include painting/sealing where the trim butts up against the siding ( I was told this is standard practice, so now I have to get up on a ladder and paint this myself). I was glad house wrap was included, but the work was carelessly cut and not according to Tyvek's overlap specification nor fastening (see picture. Manufacturer specification specifies a 6" overlap (red dots) and washered fasteners). Billing was clear enough. Email/phone response times long.

Excellent Service. We plan on ordering additional shutters in the future to complete updating additional rooms. Would highly recommend this company.

Perfect. They came out about a week ago. I didn't get the plantation blinds, which is what I was thinking, it would have been $1400.00. I went with the two inch blinds, which was efficient. It went well. What I went with, the price is fair. I haven't had them up, but just a week, from what it appears it seems to be nice. I was extremely satisfied. Yes they did, as a matter of fact, sometimes a little early. Its rare. They were good. Absolutely, I would use them again, and I would be more than happy if you would put that.

Blinds delivered and installed in a timely manner as promised

We ordered the service on December 22, 2016. Mr. Taylor and I made plans for him to be out the next Wednesday to check out the roof. Mr. Taylor got influenza and was not able to make that appointment and the next appointment we made. We were not in a hurry to get a new roof as both my husband and I had several doctor's appointments and I had an 8 hour procedure scheduled for the first of January. He came out looked at the roof, left us a sample board, and e-mailed us an estimate. He answered all e-mails within 24 hours. The roof is on the house and the storage house. It looks marvelous. The crew replaced some of the plywood on the roof, put down new paper and did the shingles. They cleaned up the area and you would never know they had been here except for the two nails I found on the deck. They put tarps all around the house to catch the shingles as they dispose of them and they have a gentleman that picks the pieces up from the tarps and puts them in the truck. I was very pleased with both the price and the service. I would highly recommend James Taylor Construction.

We love the shutters, very professional job..

Poor initial response time by associate. Quote was promised day following consult, and did not arrive. Associate did not reply to phone call or email for over a week. Final quote was almost 3x what was verbally estimated during the consult. Work was not performed.

John provided the samples, scheduled, and installed roof as scheduled. He also followed up on a couple of unforeseen issues without hesitation. He can improve by communicating quicker and having his crew be more thorough about nails left in yard and driveway. Also, existing gutter covers were reinstalled improperly and has been a pain attempting to reaffix them myself. Overall though, his work and commitment to the job seems good and he is a better value compared to others who gave estimates.

Excellent. On his first visit the installer measured the window, since the shutters had to be made-to-order. When he returned to install it, the entire work took about 30 minutes. The shutters fit perfectly and look great!

It took a while. He came out and did the estimate immediately, but he had so many orders that it backed up the work, but it didn't take too long. The work turned out really well. It was exactly like we wanted. They look nice and they're pretty well-made.

They did an excellent job making a custom bar. They're very nice and professional.

He came and measured the windows. He was very knowledgeable. I have a receipt that blinds were going to be delivered in 3 weeks. Never heard anything back. No phone call, no response.

I ordered the deal and no one contacted me. Waited a few days and then had to email the company. No response. Called and left message. No response either. Had to call Angie's list to get refunded. This is a terrible experience.

The shutters have not been installed. I called twice and left messages. James called me back yesterday and said that they had been very busy and he would have the installer call me. I still have not heard from him.

Sent several messages to them via Angie's List after purchasing the deal. I sent two additional requests for setting up a time to visit my house to begin the work. No response from this company. When you pay(in advance) for a deal, you deserve some interaction from the company that took your money. Not professional and not a company that deserves a high rating.
