Description of Work: Holder was the contractor hired to install our HVAC system in our new home. From the first day in our house we had issues. Each time a different technician came out to fix the current problem, they informed us that our unit was functioning as the builder had requested. The installation was terrible, resulting in them taping extensions to duct work, not installing all components like a fresh air vent, and not installing the zone controls for the house. Additionally, they did not install a proper emergency shut off for the condensate drain line, resulting in water damage inside our home when the line froze and failed to turn off the unit.

Description of Work: Called them the Thursday evening before weekend with temperatures predicted on successive days to break all previous highs. Responsible individual returned call shortly after assuring me I would get scheduling time following morning. Friday morning Holder was on phone as promised, went the extra mile and got tech out eleven that morning (this when others were not even to promise a day). Andrew diagnosed quickly and had Chris bring out replacement capacitor. Up and running within an hour. Kudos to all.

Ike and Roberto arrived in the morning and got right to work. We have a sealed crawlspace and they were careful not to damage the plastic or any other aspect of the cralwspace. They removed the old equpment and did a neat job installing the new systems. The start-up went fine. Later that day Chris came by and explained how to program the new thermostat and also checked over the installation. Several weeks later we noticed that the unit was making a noise that did not seem normal. Joe came out for a follow-up visit to listen and walk us through the system again and immediately noticed the noise. Chris came back out the next day and fixed the problem which was just a discharge line from the compressor that was tapping against the side of the unit. This was fixed easily and the unit has worked great since it was installed. Joe also helped us locate and purchase a quality dehumidifier at a fair price for our crawlspace to keep it dry. This took a lot of back and forth with emails, but Joe was finally able to find the unit and get it here in Raleigh for us. Joe and his team did a great job and we are very happy with our experience.
Description of Work: We met Joe at the annual Wake County - HBA membership event in Raleigh and began talking about our respective businesses, his being HVAC and ours being water treatment. Joe impressed my wife and I with his friendly nature, knowledge and professionalism and so when the time came we had Joe over to help us determine what we needed to do to improve our HVAC system. Our 16-old heat pump system was still working but we had noticed some unpleasant odors in the house and we knew the unit wasn't all that efficient anymore. Joe explained the different Trane systems to us and provided us with a quote for two systems, the XL16i and XR15. After going back and forth several times with questions and answers, we elected to go with the Trane XR15 system, as this system met our budget better and had basically the same functionality as the XL16i system. We also got the TAM7 air handler. Joe also advised us on the condition of our ductwork and made suggestions and included a quote to replace the ductwork. In the end we could only afford the heat pump and air handler, plus the CleanEffects air filter, and we were pleased that Joe did not try to push us into the larger system or a scope of work that we could not afford.

Fabulous. Joe listened to our needs and suggested solutions that met our needs and helped us save money by giving us alternatives. He and his team arrived on time. The crew was very polite, thorough, and professional. After the work was completed, they cleaned up the area. Subsequently, we had other work done in the crawlspace, and that person inadvertently caused some wiring to cross, causing the a/c unit to run on emergency heat. I called Joe on a Sunday morning, and a technician arrived within an hour to solve the problem. In addition, Joe helped us get 0% financing through the manufacturer. I was impressed with the depth of knowledge of everyone involved.
Description of Work: Replaced a/c unit with a SEER 16 dual/fuel package. Replaced second a/c unit with similar unit. Replaced ducts. Added zones. Installed new thermastats.
