Great Tarheel Restoration Company

First crew (ServPro) hired by insurance company - a total disaster. After complaint to AMICA (our insurance company), they sent out the GREAT TARHEEL folks. A night and day difference. Floor looks like new. And was done promptly, with minimum fuss.

My experience has been less than subpar with this company. My condo was damaged by water in June and this company was called in for the repairs. It is now August and there is still a giant hole in my ceiling as well as a pipe still leaking. Their excuse? The tub in the unit upstairs is not meant for showering in. Crappy excuse in my opinion. I have tried contacting them and no one will answer the phone/email. I know they are having to go through the insurance company from the unit owner upstairs but the repairs should not take 2 months for something this minor. I am ready to have my ceiling back and I'm sure my upstairs neighbor is ready to have her bathroom back! It's been 5 weeks now. I have been sick due to something in the ceiling. They are finally replacing the ceiling but only because I threatened to sue them. I've already contacted the BBB over this whole situation. I have had to initiate all communication with the company and had to tell them off to get them to do anything. They have been using the excuse that the owner upstairs needs to replace the tub yet (in the whole 5 weeks) they have not contacted her to resolve that part of the issue. If I could give them negative stars then I would. Whatever you do, do NOT use this company.

They were very responsive, putting in the fans and heaters to dry out the kitchen the same day as we met. They helped me to work with the insurance company. (Insurance company had been reluctant to cover some of the work, and Marty explained to them why it was necessary.) They worked with my schedule, and completed the job as agreed. I especially liked the Leon's work; He installed the counter tops. Glad to have my kitchen and livingroom back, with the upgrades we had added. I called them sometime later when we noticed a small issue. John came by and fixed the problem. I would recommend Great Tarheel Restoration. hopefully we'll never need their services again, but if we did we'd not hesitate to call them.

Amica, my insurance company, referred us to this company. They were quick about getting back to us with the quote. They were really good. We're glad we went with them because they specialize in restoration. The focus was there and they got the job done quickly and fixed in a jiffy. We were really glad we used them. They were so good to deal with, and they wasted no time, either.

I WAS HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. I FEEL THAT SOME OF THE CONTRACTORS THAT THEY HIRED WERE NOT OF EXCELLENT QUALITY, SUCH AS THE PLUMBER AND PAINTER. ON THE WHOLE, THINGS WERE DONE VERY WELL.
