It went very well. They were on time and delivered what they said they would and I was very pleased.

G Double did a fantastic job for us! Gary was quick to come out to provide our estimate and did a very thorough eval of the job to be done. His estimate was both careful and honest. Once we decided to accept his bid, he scheduled and arrived for the job promptly. He initially estimated that the job might take two days, however he and his team worked like machines! I couldn't believe how quickly the job got done, and by dusk the first day, our fence, front porch and deck looked spectacular. They were very careful to be neat and draped absolutely anything in danger of getting dirtied with plastic wrap, and despite the impressive speed with which the job was done- it was top quality. No missed spots, smudges, or fingerprints to be found! Gary did a great job of pointing out areas in the fence we'd want to pay attention to for future upkeep and provided a couple of do-it-yourself maintenance tips that will come in handy. I also really appreciated that he left the leftover stain for future touchups- something most contractors would take to use on another job. I wouldn't hesitate at all to hire G Double again for future projects at all- in fact, I look forward to it. Thanks for a job wonderfully done, guys!

They accommodated my busy schedule even when I had to switch the start time on the job twice. They showed on time, got right to work and finished very quickly. The paint job wasn’t absolutely perfect (although last time I had them paint it was) but it was nicely done and I suspect that they were in a bit more of a rush since I had them start midday instead of the morning, so a few small errors I can forgive. Gary, the owner, is great to work with.

Gary came out, sounded very knowledgable, seems to take pride in his work. He was sympathetic to our need to keep dust and fumes down. He mentioned he had asthma as a child. His estimate was one of the least expensive and he was willing to honor his Angies list coupon. The only red flag was a disclaimer in his contract which clearly stated that he provided absolutely no warranty whatsoever on drywall work. I asked about that via email and he gave an un-reassuring statement something about houses settling. It made me question his ability to do good drywall work and question the pride he seemed to have in his business. We still wanted to go with G Double based on his Angies list reputation. I tried to call him to try and ask him again about the drywall warranty. I wanted any words to inspire confidence that he wasn't going to do a horrible drywall job and not care because he had said absolutely no warranty. Instead of a call back, he ignored my phone call. I tried to call a second time, again with no call back. His lack of response has also been reported on Angies list. That was enough for us. Apparently he doesn't believe in his crews ability to do drywall to even return a phone call. Kept looking for someone else.

The best thing? Their motto "we'll do what it takes to get the job done." They mean it!

Gary sent 2 of his guys over the first day. He called to tell me they were on the way. Leo and Frankie were prompt and courteous. They removed their shoes when going up and down the stairs to avoid getting dirt on my new carpets. They put plastic over everything for the rooms with the ceilings. They lined the walls with plastic, covered the counters, drawers, vanity, etc. They closed the bathroom doors when possible to avoid getting dust all over the house. From what I could see, they didn't take any short cuts. There was not a spec of paint on my carpets, the floors, the walls -- anywhere it wasn't supposed to be. They had their own shop-vac that they used to clean up. I went to put things back into the bathrooms later that evening and only had to do a quick 5 minute sweep-up which is to be expected when drywall work is done. The bathroom ceilings are really nice --- I honestly didn't think they would be able to get them to come out as well as they did. The room with the paint coming off the wall is also really nice. They did a good job with the patching -- you can't tell. I did have some crackling -- very small amount -- in the ceilings. Given that the ceiling were done incorrectly by the first painter - it wasn't unexpected. Gary sent Leo and Frankie back out 2 days later to accommodate my schedule. Gary came by after they were done to inspect and make sure I was happy. While his guys were here, he was in constant contact with them -- he knew when they arrived, when they left, and any problems they encountered. Overall a very professional, conscientious crew.

They were good to me. I have flipped houses too and I have had them do that kind of stuff. They traveled down to the southern parts and did some work for me. The price depends on what you need. They do good work. They are pretty quick. They are thorough and not expensive. I haven't used them for 8 or 10 months.

I was out of town during the installation but pleased that Garry was on-site with this crew early Monday morning, as promised. The work was completed professionally using larger and much more efficient gutters than had been previously installed. We were glad to come home to find they had completely cleaned the work area and removed all all gutter debris. The only problem was a small spot of the (not-yet-cured) fresh paint was scraped on one post. When Gary was informed he drove the 45 miles to our home that very evening and corrected the problem. While on site he also did a bit of extra caulking which was not part of his contract. We,. again, are very pleased with G-Double. I have used other contractors over the years and have never found anyone to match this company's honesty, timeliness and focus on customer satisfaction. We intend to pursue using them to build a new deck and to do some interior painting. Thanks, again, for the good work, G-Double!

From the first call to the moment the work was completed we were very happy to work with G-Double Painting & Construction. All work was performed professionally and on-time. The crews wore G-Double shirts, acted professionally, worked hard and appeared to enjoy their work. It was a pleasure to hear 'whistling' workers with no blaring radios rather than loud music and sharp words as with others we've dealt with. Gary made valuable recommendations during the project and tolerated several in-process changes to our plans. He recommended and used nothing but top-of-the-line products and worked hard to ensure customer satisfaction. The work area was cleaned at the end of each day and nothing--no trash, empty paint buckets, drink cans, cigarette butts (none of them smoked) or anything was left behind. And, the final product far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this company and plan to use them for another project, soon.

First and last time user of Angie's list. Signed up 4-6-11. Called G Double about 11:00Am and Gary was at my house at 12:30. Was very impressed. Told him I wanted an estimate on exterior house painting and some wood rot around window repaired. Got an estimate. Told him I had to discuss with my wife when she came home from work. We agreed that night that we would use G Double. Called Thursday morning 4-7-11, got answer machine and left a message that we would like to set up a schedule for the work to be done. As of today 4-22-11, have NOT heard from G Double. I could accept that he wasn't interested in the job or couldn't do it, but in my opinion, NOT have the stones to call and let me know is NOT acceptable!

G Double provided a wonderful painting experience. They paid attention to detail and completed the work promptly on schedule. The cleanup effort left a lot to be desired.......they used our own broom, dustpan, and vacuum cleaner to cleanup the mess. We had a LOT of cleanup to take care of on our own, including vacuuming, mopping, detailing areas, etc. I would definitely hire them again, but make clear my expectations about cleanup !!

The painters arrived on time. They did a very nice job of covering and moving the furniture. They had to go out and pick the paint up at the store. They were back and started on the job. They were very nice to work with.There were three fellows. The ceiling was cut in by hand and it looks very good. I had to leave about 1/2 through the job. My husband inspected at the end. They did a very nice job of cleaning up and putting the furniture back, too. When I got back, I checked. I was disappointed that blemishes were still on the wall. There is also a nail pop that was not fixed. The contract says blemishes will be fixed and the walls will be pole sanded. I wrote Gary by email on the subject. I have not heard back from him and it has been over a week. All in all we like the paint job. I am surprised that I did not hear back from him. Update to provider's response: It is April 11th and Gary has never called me about the problem.

Painting and exterior repairs were done expertly and quickly. There were some issues with the handrail due in part to the fact that we did not give Gary a clear picture of what we expected, and in part to some not so careful work by his crew. However, Gary spent his Saturday making the needed adjustments. Gary Jeudy is very customer service oriented and wants to be sure that the customer is satisfied. We will use him again and my son has used him recently to paint his home.

My interaction with them went very well. However, not all of them spoke English real well. So you have to be clear. They did a very good job and they communicated well. The owner is very nice. He did what he was supposed to do and within the time limits. His price was probably a little more.

The paint job was done quickly and well. Used paint I wanted. For us, they also fixed drywall that was done poorly by another contractor. The patching they did is not noticeable. Excellent finishing job! They fixed closets that had been improperly installed so the doors would open and close smoothly. They also put in a small wall and added trim so it matched with the current design and paint. The work was reasonably priced and professionally performed. Definitely recommended.

G Double and Gary are fabulous. Gary was quick and helpful while giving me an estimate and gave me a very fair price. The painters arrived right on time. They were polite and hard working. When finished they meticulously cleaned up and vacuumed the carpet and wiped down the stairway. The walls look great.

I was very impressed after interviewing and their pricing was good. I just decided not to do the project at that time. They offered a portfolio and references. I would use them again.

The job was done very professionally. After the second coat was put on, it was still a bit streaky. I called Gary and he came over right away and put a third coat on. It looks wonderful. This is the second time that Gary has done this front porch.The first time was in 2006, and the special stain is only supposed to last 2 -3 yrs at the most.It held up very well considering the weather conditions ( lots of sun ).They did an excellent job the first time they did it also.Gary had contacted hardwood floor specialists, and researched to find the right product.

They did a wonderful job and we were really pleased. We would absolutely use them in the future.

Overall I was very happy with G Double. They were much more professional and did much higher quality work than other painters I've worked with. Gary, the owner, provided the quote, and returned at the end of the job for a final inspection; other than that, the work was done by a separate crew. The painters were very hardworking and the crew leader was easy to communicate with in English. They were very conscientious about removing faceplates and covering my floors and furniture. They even vacuumed up after themselves. When they removed the bathroom mirror, I was surprised to find a hole in the drywall left by the builders. The painters originally weren't going to patch it because it was behind the mirror, but when I asked them to patch it anyway they immediately did so. They didn't do the ceiling first, as I expected, and when I mentioned that this was surprising, they said they hadn't realized that I'd requested the ceiling be done too. However, they were very professional about the misunderstanding and started the ceiling first thing the next day. I had requested Behr paint for the job because it got good ratings in Consumer Reports and I'd used it myself successfully before. Gary, the owner, told me that Behr is harder to work with than what they'd usually use, and this slowed them down. They didn't give me any trouble about it, but the job took them 1/2 day longer than they'd originally estimated. Considering the amount of work they did, this was fine. Also, after two coats in my family room, they said they were done with that room. That night, however, I found several places where the original color was still showing through slightly. They said they missed some spots because the Behr paint made it hard to see where they'd been during the second coat. However, they were very solicitous about putting on another coat the next day to get full coverage, and didn't charge me anything above the original quote. Overall, I was very satisfied, but I was also happy that I was at home during the job and could personally make sure nothing was missed since small details were very important to me. The were happy to honor the Angie's list coupon I had for them.

It was impromptu as he was doing some work for one of the neighbors and we took him in and asked him to take a look at our place. He said we could get a thorough wash and we didn't need painting. He asked us to give him a call when we wanted to get a thorough wash done but we still haven't called him. He was wonderful and very responsive. He was also very punctual and professional.

We get a Christmas present from him every year which consists of a pen and some business cards. He does a lot of good marketing. His quote was in the middle of three people that I had contacted. I have recommended him to several people and have always gotten very good feedback regarding his job.

Gary and his crew were awesome. They were prompt and professional, cleaned up after the work, made sure I was satisfied with the work. They did a great job. I would hire Gary again in a heartbeat, and will recommend him to anyone.

We are selling our house, and wanted most of the interior walls painted (including a two-story foyer and master bedroom with vaulted ceilings) and the outside powerwashed. My husband called G double and another company the week before the work was done based on Angie's list reviews. The G double quote was significantly less than the other company's. They said they could be out at the end of the week, and that they could finish in one day (a long day, though, perhaps 12 hours), and that they only worked on one job at a time. They were supposed to be to our house at 8:00 AM on a Thursday, but my husband had called that morning and found out they wouldn't be to our house until 10. A little annoying, but really too big of a deal. There were two guys who were there most of the day, and a third showed up around 4:00 PM. They were extremely professional in behavior. When it became clear they would not finish in one day, they left at 5 and scheduled to come back at 8:00 AM on Friday. They arrived promptly at 8:00, and finished the painting, trim, and powerwashing that day. Honestly I am glad they left at 5:00 the first day, because it would have interrupted dinnertime, bath, and bedtime for the kids if they had still been there, so I am perfectly fine with the job taking two days. It looks beautiful, too. I am very pleased and feel that we definitely got our money's worth.
