You have to call the "mfg" in order to get the "local" number, which is kinda' annoying. The person answering the phone told me to talk to the supervisor (?) who does the work. He got back to me a day or two later. In order to get the problem fixed (rotten panel on sunporch), they wanted to first send someone out for an estimate. That 's not a problem - the estimate would cost $85. When I called back to ask about the $85, I was told it is not applied to any cost of repair. That was the cost of teh estimate. When I questioned this person, he was getting indignant - he had to finish a project and I should call the office and talk to that person. My husband is beyond furious!!! And the way I feel is this: if I complain, they will just add it to the cost of repairs; i.e. they'll get the $$ one way or another. I can see if you are estimating a whole addition and MAY or MAY NOT get the work, but $85 for just a repair estimate .....you know you'll be doing the work. I think this is poor business. I'll try another sunporch mfg or a contractor to see if it can be repaired/replaced by someone else.
