Their flooring work was very good. The floors look beautiful and the new floors match the old perfectly, you can't tell the difference. The new vents were done very well with no gaps or cracks. All wood working was very well done. HOWEVER, while removing the old flooring from the kitchen, they were extremely careless and damaged a water pipe and electrical circuit. The water pipe was (obviously) discovered right away and they had a plumber repair it. The damaged electrical circuit was discovered about 1-2 weeks after the job was completed and we attempted many times to get Fabulous Floors to come out and fix it. We were promised many times that they would, but it never was done and after many months of trying, we finally had to pay an electrician to come repair the circuit.
Description of Work: Resurfaced hard wood floors in living room, replaced a/c removable vents with flush vents, installed hardwood floors in kitchen and blended into existing flooring.

Description of Work: Absolute worst experience I've had in 17 years of home ownership! Dishonest and very misleading! They were supposed to change the stain color and refinish our floors. | |Beware because their mode of operation is to not even have their own trucks and workers, but instead they cut major costs by subcontracting out to numerous smaller mom and pop operations and pay them very little and take the rest for doing absolutely nothing other then arranging things on the phone. | |There are enough small businesses that need to pick up extra jobs so it works out to undercut them in his favor by using them instead of buying all his own stuff and equipment. | |They misquoted me the over all price. They misquoted the subcontractor and he was forced to do work for little to nothing. When the subcontractor told him it was too much work to do the stairs for the price quoted, the owner said, "Oh come on, just throw it in." I took pitty on the guy and didn't make him do the stairs. | |We did them ourselves and it was hours and hours of hard and fine detail labor. Then to top it all off, the owner of Fabulous Floors said he would match home depots, quote and even do it cheaper. This is such a racket because he got us to go with him cheaper because he doesn't throw in the trim work like Home Depot! We got a bill at the end that was for an extra $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |I found out I have a friend that worked with them too and she got the same thing. One price was quoted and then she got an extra bill for $900 in the end because he had to do extra work to match the stain correctly. She was going through a divorce and had to go out and get a small loan to pay the extra unexpected amount! She even had the job in writing. | |Do NOT use this company. The owner was very condescending to women. I know he wouldn't have talked to my husband the way he did me. My husband is an attorney and we usually always get quoted in writing. This guy just seemed so trust worthy on the phone and just kept saying, don't worry about it, we will match your written Home Depot quote. Big fat lie! | |He didn't even honor the square footage that Home Depot measured off. He instructed the subcontractor to measure in a way that was more square footage because he counts all the floor space under the kitchen cabinets too-from wall to wall. | |He did not honor the Home Depot measurement and insisted on his amount... of course after the job was all said and done and it was time for us to pay. | |Unfortunately, my husband wasn't aware of all the arrangements and problems because we were in the middle of a chaotic move. So when I said I wouldn't pay the difference that we had not agreed to, he called my husband at work and told him the total, said it needed to be paid now, and got our card over the phone and charged the full amount without me knowing. | |My husband felt very played and so did I! I was very calm and tried to make my case and each time I did, Matt overspoke, interrupted, and would not allow me to talk. I had to stick up for myself and had to resort to actually yelling and saying that he had to stop talking and let me talk some. | |He finally listened and realized I wasn't a push over and credited me the cost of putting the quarter round down. Guess who didn't get paid? Guess who paid for the actual labor and quarter round out of his own pocket after my credit? The subcontractor. He told me that himself even though Matt denied it. | |I asked Matt how he sleeps at night. He blew up into a huge adult temper tantrum. It was unbelievable to hear his childlike rant! And pure lies. The subcontractor said that this is how this guy has made millions. He does this with all his multiple branches. | |He marks down the prices to beat competition, hires the individual small guy who needs extra jobs because he doesn't have the name and marketing, and rips him and the customers off. | |I told Matt that the next time he is living it up somewhere on the backs of lies, subcontractors, and good people like me, I hope he is constantly interrupted by the thought of me telling him how pathetic he really is.

He is a very enthusiastic, informative, professional and thorough; just what you look for when hiring someone to do a marvelous job for you. He goes beyond and above. Always on time but should he be running a few minutes late, he calls to inform. He answered all our questions professionally and assuring. Explained exactly what he was doing as he went along and truly cared about our satisfaction. I love my floors beyond words, exactly what I expected and even more beautiful. Todd H., Fabulous Floors called within minutes of my call. Very prompt for the estimate appointment and left me excited to start. They are very proud of their business and it shows in all aspects of the business. They are praiseworthy, in every way, and we would be proud and would heartily recommend them for all floor services etc. We are really pleased with the experience and finished product. John Adams was extremely professional and I give his highest marks to being extremely communicative. He always called to tell me when he was on his way, running late, or to follow up and ask if all was okay. When we found a couple of spots that needed further attention, he came as soon as his schedule allowed (was within two days - on a Sunday morning!) to take care of it. I've rarely had this level of attentive and committed service. The reason I chose this company was that their product is green certified, thus no noxious off-gasing. It has been terrific, and dried so much quicker than conventional solutions. Highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: Hardwood floors on lower level of our home were buffed, cleaned, and resurfaced. Was a two day process due to having to flip flop furniture from one side of the house to the other. However, given that the product dries within just a few hours and cures to be able to walk on the floors within 24 hours, it was an efficient process.

Do make sure you use somebody that comes out and looks at the floors before they begin like Fabulous Floors. The competition will set up appt to do floors and then he may tell you that he can't do it because of the product you may have used on them. This business does not operate that way. Yes it does cost more but it should not have to be repeated every 6 mo like the other one does. I was told this should last at least two years. It is a hassle moving everything especially if you find out they don't want to do the job at the last minute which is what happened to me. Fabulous Floors provided great customer service to me and were extremely honest and professional. This I do not mind paying extra for!
Description of Work: My hardwood floors were cleaned, primed and a finish was put on them. It was a at least a 3 step process. In comparing it to the competitor who began the project, they were very informative And complete and the results were excellent.

Todd worked with us to schedule the service at a time that would work. He came back with a workman to do a few touch-ups afterwards since there were a few minor corrections needed. Overall, it was a good job. A screening does not make a floor look as good as new, but it did greatly improve the look of the floors. The service only took an afternoon.
Description of Work: We had the downstairs of our home (all hardwood flooring) 'screened' and re-coated with polyurethane. This was approximately 1400 sq ft. They also touched up a few small spots with stain, which were either worn, gouged or faded.

I contacted this company as a referral from a friend that had work done by FF several months earlier. Todd Hille was responsive and proposed several options for us to consider. There was no pressure or up-selling and I felt very comfortable discussing my needs and timeline. Todd provided me a quote before we finished and it was very competitive with several different companies I had contacted. My insurance company came in first to remove the damaged floor and left quite a bit of mess. Keeley, Todd's main guy, was there bright and early with his crew the following Monday and got to work. I was impressed that they took quite a bit of pride in their work and they kept me informed of what was going on each step of the way. They took an extra day than expected but I think that was due to some extra things I requested. Before they left, we went over the entire job and they made sure we were happy with the work. Todd even took a bit of extra time to make sure the insurance company was satisfied, saving me a lot of hassle. Great Job! Would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Hardwood floor repair, sanding the entire first floor, staining new color, sealing and buffing.
