EPM Lawn Care

I used them several times and it got too expensive. They would come back every month and the yard was looking worse. I contacted them on July 17th to have them cancel my account. They kept charging me and coming back. Then on August 24th I called them to pay the last bill and asked them to stop charging me and doing more work again.

Poorly. Used them for four + years, and lawn looked worse every year. Weeds took over half of my backyard.

after a couple months of them doing the chemicals for my lawn my lawn looks the worst it has ever looked. There is more weeds in my yard then my neighbor has and he does not have a service nor does he do it himself. I called them to come back and spray again. They came back and sprayed and nothing changed. I went out this weekend and used a weed killer from home depot and with in 48 hours they were starting to die off. Not worth it!

In the spring, an EPM salesperson came to our house and I requested their help with our lawn. I specifically mentioned that the previous summer that we had a really bad problem with grubs destroying our lawn and to make sure that they kept an eye on the situation. As the spring went along, EPM applied various fertilizers and weed killers and the lawn began to improve. In mid-June, the lawn completely collapsed with dead spot appearing at a rapid rate. No amount of watering would help the situation. I resorted to digging up a portion of the lawn to inspect the earth below, and just like last year the grubs were everywhere. I called them on the following Monday and asked for help. The lady on the phone at the office was very apologetic and said that she would pass along the request for help to our representative. Two days went by without any attempt to call me back. I called back to the office on the following Wednesday and canceled my service with them. With EPM, my lawn fared no better than it did when I was doing the care of it. A total waste of about $200 over 3 months.

EPM falsified their billing by charging me for "treatments" they never did. I actually received an admission from one of their "tech's" that my yard had never been treated although I had been billed hundreds of dollars. I actually forgave them (stupid I know) and gave them another chance. I again caught EPM lying about services never performed . This time I fired EPM for good. Too bad...they used to have a good reputation. Now it seems like EPM is nothing but high-pressure sales with no results and fraudulent business business practices.

This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. Before I go into any details, let me just inform everyone that as of recently, EPM, True Green, and several other triangle-area lawn companies are now run by the SAME management team. One of the ways they sold me was telling me how they were "local" and the fact that my salesman gave me his cell phone number. Since the corporation's rapid expansion, none of this is useful. Biggest problem I've had is they seeded my lawn with the WRONG type of grass. On a scale of 1 to 10 (relative to my neighbors), where a 10 is the best, I'd say my lawn was a 5 or 6. But after EPM's seeding, it easily went down to a 1. I originally hired them because I don't know anything about lawn control, and wanted to have a nice looking lawn. Apparently my lawn was bermuda grass, but they seeded it with a hybrid fescue. This has caused my lawn to be splotchy, multicolored, and unevenly grown. Only after 5 or 6 calls with supervisors did they take responsibility for it. While they did not refund my money, they did say they would fix it. It's been 5 months, and still haven't heard anything. This company is so disorganized I can't even begin to explain it in words. Everytime I call I end up leaving messages or talking to different people, having to re-explain my situation. Part of the problem is they're so busy since all they're doing is selling more customers and opening more branches. The one saving grace is that the technicians themselves are very nice and knowledgeable, and if it was feasible I'd hire the technician directly. But since this is not the case, EPM deserves a strong F. Please feel free to write me if you desire any clarification about my comments or have any questions.

They are very consistent. They have not raised their prices in several years. I could probably find a cheaper price, however I think that for the value it is an A. I have always found it to be a good service.

They just do a great job. They don't have any qualms about what they have to do. They come when they're supposed to come. They do what they have to do. The lawn just looks fantastic. I'm told that it's the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood.

We have used them for several years and have been very satisfied with their work. They always leave recommendations. If you need them to come back and do something again, they will. They are really good about doing the job the way you want it done. I think their price is good for the service.

My EPM guy shows up every 6 weeks or so. I asked to have him call a day or two prior to service so I could make sure to blow the leaves (in fall) prior to treatments. It has been a few years but no issues. When I notice weeds, etc. I call or point them out and he takes care of them. For a fee they offer to airate and seed the yard and treat for brown patch disease but I do that myself.

Good control of weeds for the MOST part in the beginning. Had them aerate and seed lawn in the fall to fill in bare spots. Guaranteed that if bare spots were not filled in they would retreat. Never offered to retreat bare spots left. Lawn looked good for a few weeks in the Spring until they came and sprayed for weeds and killed a lot of the grass that had been planted. Spoke with manager who agreed to aerate and fertilize to try to get the lawn back. Aerated only after I called him again. Never came to fertilize. Actually...I NEVER heard from them again until it was time to pay the bill. Refused to pay $55 bill for for which they came out and KILLED my grass. They never responded to my letter and sent me to collections. Will NEVER use them again. If you value your lawn...you shouldn't either.

They are very good and always arrive at the time that we schedule the appointment. They always clean up when they are done and I would highly recommend them to family and friends in our area.

I am very disappointed with their service. I have to call to remind them to come out every 8 weeks. They do not follow-through on any problems. I have to call them repeatedly to get an answer. The crew is flippant when they are here and the lawn looks terrible. I still have more weeds than I do grass. I will not be hiring them again once my contract is up.

Overall, they did a pretty good job maintaining my lawn. However, their customer service was rather poor. I asked multiple times that they call the day prior to treating my lawn, so I could keep my dog indoors. They managed to accomplish this about 25% of the time. I called repeatedly to get ''brown spot'' treated and they took over two weeks to get technician to my home. Only after I cancelled my contract with them did they seem interested in responding to my complaints.

EPM does a good job on our lawn. They keep it looking fantastic, are responsive, and friendly to work with. They are annoying about bill collections though. They call constantly when you get a day behind on your payment.

THIS COMPANY CHARGES ME BY THE YEAR. THE FIRST YEAR OR TWO I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. NOW THE LAWN DOESN'T LOOK AS GOOD AS IT USED TO, AND I AM THINKING ABOUT GETTING ANOTHER SERVICE.

THEY ALWAYS DO A GOOD JOB. I WOULD SAY THAT WE ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES. OUR LAWN LOOKS VERY NICE. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR AWHILE NOW AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

THEY COME AND GET THE JOB DONE QUICKLY. THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE AND I THINK THEIR PRICES ARE FAIR. THEY SAVE US FROM HAVING TO DO THE WORK OURSELVES AND THIS GIVES US TIME TO DO WHAT WE WANT TO DO.

THEY HAVE SPRAYED MY LAWN FOR YEARS. THEY GIVE VERY GOOD SERVICE AND IT DOES NOT TAKE THEM VERY LONG TO GET THE JOB DONE. THEIR WORKERS ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERTS AT WHAT THEY DO.

I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEM BECAUSE MY LAWN DIDN'T GREEN UP LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO. I WAS NOT VERY PLEASED. I HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO MAKE MY LAWN LOOK HEALTHIER.

OUR GOAL WAS TO HAVE A HEALTHY LAWN, AND THEY HELPED US REACH OUR GOAL. THE COMMUNICATION IS REALLY GOOD. THEY ALWAYS LET US KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. I LIKE HOW WILLING THEY ARE TO DO WHAT MAKES US HAPPY.

I HAVE WORKED WITH THEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY'RE GOING TO DO AND THEY CHARGE APPROPRIATELY. THEY DO AS GOOD OF A JOB AS THEY CAN WITH THE WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT WE'VE HAD.

WE'VE BEEN USING THEM FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS. OUR LAWN IS THE NICEST LOOKING LAWN ON THE BLOCK. IF THEY NOTICED A PROBLEM, THEY WOULD LEAVE US A NOTE TELLING US HOW TO FIX IT.

THEIR SALES TACTICS ARE A LITTLE AGGRESSIVE, BUT THEY SEEM TO BE A LEGITIMATE COMPANY THAT GIVES FAIR SERVICES. THEY OFFERED US A QUOTE AND THEY WERE VERY CONSCIENTIOUS. THESE GUYS SEEM TO BE A LITTLE BETTER THAN OTHER COMPANIES WE'VE USED.

WE NOTICED THAT OUR LAWN DID NOT IMPROVE AS MUCH AS WE HOPED THAT IT WOULD. WE'RE NOT SURE IF IT IS BECAUSE OF THEIR SERVICE OR BECAUSE WE SHOULD HAVE JUST RESEEDED THE GROUND IN THE FIRST PLACE.
