That day came and went. We haven't heard from them or seen them. Should have looked at Angie's List before calling them! A 'D' Rating and only one review... they're clearly not where I want to spend my money.

Workers were very nice but nice does not build a good room. Only one member of the crew had any real experience. Hung a door improperly so there is a 1/4 gap at the bottom. Fixed it 3 times but gap remains. Drywalling was sloppy. Fixed that 3 times but many flaws remain. Biggest problem is the rain gutter. It is installed with a slight pitch the wrong way so that it does not drain into the downspout and then overflows at the point where the seam is now sagging. Dream Spaces has refused to reinstall the gutter properly and wants to put a second downspout at the other end but that is not doable according to 3 other gutter contractors and an engineer. There is no place to secure support for a second downspout and it would also ruin the view for which we paid 47k. In addition, the proposed "solution" does not conform with the plans submitted to the City for permitting and for our approval. The City Chief Building Inspector has verified that the gutter is not pitched properly. At the end of the day, and 47k later, we have a faulty door, crummy drywalling, and a rain gutter that overflows at the low sag point. Yes, they used a seamed gutter... a major no no on a relatively short run. They claim they have met their responsibility by offering a non workable remedy that flies in the face of accepted construction practices for the installation of rain gutters. Dream Spaces has refused to reinstall the gutter properly sighting a design factor in the Four Seasons Room that won't allow for pitch yet it IS pitched, but, the wrong way. Once he had our final payment, true to form with bad contractors, Dream Spaces showed their true colors as a typical shyster who is incompetent at their craft. The only thing they seem to be good at is making weak and ridiculous excuses and offering "solutions" that do not conform to accepted best practices for construction. They failed their final inspection due to obvious code violations that they tried to get away with and the City had to call them back even after the final to fix other code violations. All in all, just anotther incompetent contractor in the sunroom business. It should be noted that the owner of Dream Spaces in not a licensed contractor although he likes to pose as one. He has a qualifier hidden in the background. Ironically, the fix for the gutter is pretty inexpensive so we will have it fixed and then seek comensation through the court system. Do yourself and your wallet a huge favor and avoid this company like the plague. The only bright spot was the electrical company hired as a subcontractor, Harte Electric, out of Angier. They did a bang up job and were great people too. We hired them to do some unrelated work and will be posting a glowinfg review for them.
