Description of Work: This company was listed in the masonry section of Angie's List, but they were not able to do masonry work unless we were also going to purchase drainage work also. Angie's list needs to remove them from this category.

Description of Work: Provider came to our home to check problem. Problem was in neighbors yard flowing into ours. We were not charged, to work done. I don't remember what month it was. Would call Provider if problem comes up.

Description of Work: We asked K Squared to come evaluate a project that we thought we'd be using block wall on. The gave us the pros and cons and actually suggested that we go a cheaper route. It actually worked out better for us for this application and saved us about $3000 on the project

Description of Work: This was a multi-phased project starting with complete removal of the home's front entry. Materials from this portion were recycled into subsequent projects. A new entry was designed incorporating Tennessee flagstone which was also used to create a sitting area surrounding the front steps. Rock material from the original entry area was used to augment existing rock walls on the property. Stone was brought in to create steps and paths to neighboring properties and to remedy drainage issues. Behind the garage, an area was reworked including removal of dirt, partial removal of a crumbling brick wall, placement of flagstone on the remaining brick wall, and a flagstone patio area for plants in the area between the garage wall and the brick wall. Flagstone was also installed along the side of the garage after installing drainage pipe under the driveway, along the garage, and to the rear of the property. Tennessee flagstone was also installed around the top of a rectangular garden pond near the garage, creating a connection to the stonework around the house. Chapel Hill gravel was used to create a network of paths in the backyard and also used in the "outdoor living room " created in the backyard. This room was dug out of a sloping backyard, leveled and covered with Chapel Hill gravel after marble squares(removed from the front entry area) were set in a pleasing pattern. A rock wall at the top of the room defined the space and steps into the "room" from 2 different paths and steps out of the "room" were incorporated into the design. The dirt that was dug out from the "room" project and from behind the garage was moved to a garden terrace and leveled. (Currently, it is the home for raised beds.) In the process, plants were moved to accommodate the construction. Care was taken through the process to insure minimal disruption. Care was also taken to maintain a safe an orderly work site. The project extended across a couple of months due to the weather and the expanding scope. Kevin and his crew were a joy to have working for us! We found this company on Angie's List...Someone described Kevin as a "Craftsman". We wholeheartedly agree! He was able to make suggestions that we found to be great improvements. His attention to detail was appreciated! He left the site far better than he found it! The project beat expectations on every level, a true rarity today! The entire team was punctual, extremely hard-working, and just a pleasure to have working on this project for us.

Description of Work: Remove existing concrete from entryway baluster, apply lathe with masonry fasterners, and apply plaster with white portland mix

Description of Work: Repaired existing brick steps and stoop and added stone overlay to both at front entrance of the house. Also designed and installed a step and stoop at the rear entrance and installed stone overlay on both..

Description of Work: Our front brick steps had dropped about 1 1/2 inches on one side after 24 years in this house. K2 Masonry leveled the steps by adding Tennessee stone to each tread and then lifting the last section of the cement sidewalk so that all of the steps would have the same rise which is required to meet current building code. They dug under the sides of the steps and added cement footings to prevent the steps from dropping even more in the future. They also dug under the section of sidewalk and added cement to ensure that it would remain in place. Also, two new posts were inserted in the sidewalk and cemented in place so that we can have the railings replaced and not have to worry about the posts rotting in the future.

Description of Work: Built a stepped foundation wall, 2' high on low side and 3.5' high on high side with a brick veneer all around. Waterproofed lower section with good sealant.

Description of Work: My front steps had mortar cracked and missing from several steps. Over the winter, some steps had shifted forward. Mr Kondas removed and replaced all the mortar on my brick front steps. He also had to remove and reset several bricks.
