Overall, Covey Computer Services (CCS) exceeded expectations. CCS understood the problems that the laptop computer was experiencing. Communications were easy and effective. CCS resolved the problems to my full satisfaction. Since I had no urgent need for the computer, I so-advised CCS, so I cannot comment on how quickly I could have had the repair completed if I had expressed an urgent need. While CCS was working on the problems, CCS phoned me to keep me abreast of progress. I am recommending CCS to friends an family.

He was completely professional and delivered very good customer service. He kept in constant contact with me on the services I had contracted for and delivered on the date promised. He explained in detail what he had installed on the new computer and then explained windows 8 to my wife and I- no easy task. I am completely satisfied. All businesses should have customer service like Nick. I can only hope that someday he opens a car repair shop. I will be his first customer.

Sure enough Nick found the sources of the problems, viruses, malware, register issues; I had a lot of problems. Nick got them off my computer. He did not stop there though. He felt that my computer should be running much faster and I decided with his consutation to upgrade my operating system to Windows 7. He found a source and seamlessly put it on the computer, I lost no files or programs. The computer now runs very fast and I have complete virus protection with other programs he installed. I am very grateful for his efforts.

He cleared the malware and installed anti-malware software on both computers. When we got the computers home, there was a further problem with the sound card on my husband's computer, possibly due to disconnecting it and transporting it to Nick's place of business. Nick gave us the name of a supplier who had the part; he even contacted the supplier on our behalf. His service was above and beyond!

Nick accomplished a wide range of work -- various fixes, scanned my computer for viruses, upgraded virus protection software, resintalled other software and also printer, did a general "tune up", and addressed a rather lengthy list of fixes and upgrades I'd accrued. He also volunteered improvements that will make it easier for me to manage my computer. All the while giving me tutorials on support and resources available online, best practices so to avoid virus infections, and otherwise have a top-notch user experience. Nick was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, patient, and generous with advice and support. I look forward to working with him again.

He was able to get rid of all viruses. He reinstalled programs that had been destroyed. This was not a simple job, but Nick worked on it until he had everything up and running. He came back and got my network working which was in addition to the work on viruses.

My computer was acting up so I contacted Covey Computers. Initially I thought it was a hardware problem because the computer would not connect to the wireless network. I made several attempts to fix the problem without any luck. I emailed Covey Computers and received a prompt response. We had an appointment for the computer very soon and I dropped it off. Nick called me to tell me that it was not a hardware problem, but rather a virus that had corrupted windows. He offered a solution and even offered to install a suite of programs to help prevent this problem in the future. The computer was fixed quickly. The computer runs great now, far better than it did before I took it in. I was very pleased with the quality of work performed, the price, and the quick turn round time. The computer has not run this well since it was new. I hope to get several more years out of this computer thanks to Nick! Nick is obviously a professional and performed excellent work. I would highly recommend his services.

I have a new flash drive that I was not able to access on my computer. Nick was able to determine the issue and resolve it in a matter of minutes.

Met at my car dealership and we were able to coordinate a meeting. He was able to take my laptop and fix it in quick time.

My computer was locked up with virus and could not use safe mode. Took it to Covey Computer Services and picked it up in two days. The normal fee is $66 an hour, they worked many hours on it, but capped my fee at $200 max.

It was such a positive experience. First off all, he was able to come at house the day we requested service. Nick is very knowledgable and has great customer service. In the process of cleaning up a desktop and laptop, he set up an easy system to clean up our viruses. He is more knowledgable with the PC than Mac, but still was able to set up our Mac and iPad to our new wireless printer that we purchased from him. He set up our wireless printer to all our computers. He learned a good deal of computer skills with him. He also troubleshooted problems with our network, and provided us with logical solutions. We bought a router from him that is reasonably priced. His prices are fair and saved us some money inappropriate purchases.

Whew! While visiting my daughter's neighbor's computer to print a file from because her printer wasn't working. Unknown to me, I presumably had a virus on my flashdrive. When the neighbors tried to use the computer later everything was messed up. They told me several days later. Between the time that things got messed up and them telling me, the neighbors had tried to repair things and then giving up they reinstalled Windows, so they lost all of their files including pictures and tax records. Once they told me the situation, I was very upset because I know how important their files were to them. I have a computer person I use back in my hometown, but no on here in Raleigh where my daughter lives. I immediately added Raleigh to my Angie's List cities. I looked at the reviews of the different computer experts and found that Covey Computer Services was going to be the right company to help me. Thank goodness, I chose Covey. Nick Covey answered the phone and we discussed the situation. He understood it right away. He happened to be in the area, so he picked up my neighbor's computer saving me money. He could not promise me that he could retrieve the files for my neighbors. Nick was quick to work on the computer. He was able to retrieve the files for my neighbors (Yippee!!!). He also set up the computer including drivers to get them back up and running. I didn't write this review right after it all happened because I went back to my home in the DC area and I wanted to make sure that everything ended up fine for my neighbors when I returned to Raleigh. They were very happy that there files are back and they are back up and running just. THANK YOU, Nick! Nick's hourly rates may seem high, but they are not because he knows what he is doing and does his work efficiently and effectively--meaning he takes less time to do things than others might. He was excellent in communicating with me and my daughter's neighbors. Covey Computer Services is an excellent! I highly recommend Covey. I am going to get my computer setup so he can work on my computer remotely. In other words, I found Covey to be even better than the highly rated computer expert that I use in the DC area.

Everything went absolutely great. I added several tasks to the list and Mr. Covey accommodated everything with no problem and showed great patience in explaining everything every step of the way. I was very satisfied with his promptness and efficiency in getting everything completed in a timely way. I was also pleased with his ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve them. Mr. Covey appears to have vast experience in dealing with all these issues and his prices are more than fair. I would definitely hire him again, in a heartbeat.

Nick is excellent and I highly recommend him. My sons' home computer crashed so I called Nick on a Saturday afternoon. I took it right over and less than 24 hours later on a Sunday, he had done the diagnostics and discovered the issue (hard drive). He gave me a couple options and he also discovered by searching on the serial number, that the computer was still on warranty. He described the simple steps I need to take to get the issue fixed under warranty and charged me less than the time I know he spent on it. Without a doubt, I will use Nick for all of my computer repair needs in the future.

My story is pretty much above. His fee for computer repair fees are $60/hour. That's fair because he will give you EXTRA time! We live in Raleigh and drove to Cary to take the machine to him. It was worth the trip. With the frozen blue screen on my laptop, he said it was a virus. I'm thankful to know how to clean up the machine with CCleaner now.

I can't say enough about how prompt he is and how fair he is with his time. I will never use anyone else and neither should you.

It went went well -- Nick was knowledgeable and efficient, removed the virus and got everything working so I could get back online and get my email. I was in the middle of a project for which I desperately needed my email and Nick came the same day to solve my problem. When I inquired about his years of experience, he noted that he has built and repaired computers since 2000. After shopping around for someone to work on my computer, I realized he was the only computer technician listed that was accredited by the Better Business Bureau and that was reflected in his attitude -- he was interested in building a customer base. Also, after shopping around, I realized his prices were very reasonable. Another thing I liked was that he posted his picture -- it's important to know who you're opening the door for.
