They were great. They came out within an hour of my husband?s call to them. My husband had called them because they had the biggest advertisement in the phone book. He had figured that they would have more people. They took care of things and explained the options to my husband. I wanted a tank less water and they came back to do the work. Everything was done on time. They did great work. They definitely delivered what they had promised. Their price was in line with the other companies. They weren?t overpriced. Given the mode of selection by my husband, it was a wonderful experience.
Description of Work: I got a tank less water heater from Cary Plumbing, within the last 4-5 weeks. They also installed it for me.

I called a few places to have someone come out to replace our washer hookup faucets but they were the only ones that could come out that day. They gave us a 2 hour time window to come out and arrived in the middle of the window. The work took about an hour and 30 minutes but he only charged us for an hour so the entire bill came out to $120. He was a nice guy and professional and I was happy that it didn't cost that much. They will probably be our first choice in the future.
Description of Work: Our washer faucets were leaking and corroded so we needed to have them replaced.

After receiving a phone estimate to replace an old shower mixing valve, we made arrangements (ie, took time off of work to be home) for the plumber to do the work. However, after the plumber saw the small stall shower, he told us that because there was no access panel on the wall behind the stall, it would be impossible to replace the mixing valve. Then, he charged us $20.00 for the visit!!!! Completely incompetent!!!! [Note: We later found a competent plumber who cut an access in the drywall behind the shower stall, changed out the valve, and installed a plastic panel to close the access. Simple job! And, it cost less than the original quote from Cary Plumbing.]

The overall experience was excellent. They had to come out twice, but it was not their fault. The first time the faucet we purchased would not fix based on the sink configuration and how the plumbing was setup below. They did not charge us for the first visit and came back the second time once we had a new faucet and took care of everything. The job was done quickly and professionally. I would recommend them for others to use. I imagine as it is with most trade services the technician that comes out can make all the difference. Jess Allen came out for us and did a great job.
Description of Work: They installed a new kitchen faucet and re-attached our garbage disposal. This needed to be done because we had a new sink and counters installed.

They are really good. I wasn?t getting proper water pressure and they were also able to troubleshoot and fix that. It only cost me $115 for the water pressure issue as opposed to another plumber who told me that I needed $10,000 of re-plumbing. The overall service was very effective. They were knowledgeable in plumbing codes and other things like that in terms of plumbing in older houses. There were two special people from their staff that I really, really liked but overall the whole company was okay.

The experience was very good. I expected it to be a week before anyone came out, but they came out the very next day when they said they were going to. Not only did they do the work, but then they made recommendations as to how I could make sure I did not have to do that work again.

This company was hired to replace an old water heater. I told this company that I wanted to be present during the installation. When they came out they weren't ready to do the work and just wanted to give an estimate and schedule another day for work. So I ended up having to take more time off of work. They were also supposed to schedule an inspection that they never showed up for and I was forced to schedule an inspection with the town. Thankfully they found the the wiring was done in a manner that made it unsafe with exposed wiring and insulation. We did voice our concerns with the company representative seeking some form of apology, but never recieved it. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Cary Plumbing came within 24 hours to fix my problem. They did a good job but I felt it was a big expensive for the service provided. I don't know that other plumbers wouldn't have also charged the same thing, though. Also they tried to sell me a new toilet which I really did not need. They fixed the problem though.

Estimator thought the cast iron sewer pipe terminated in a 3" clean-out plug. It was actually a 3-1/2" iron body cleanout which had to be removed and a Charlotte seal installed. Job took about two hours longer than estimated at additional cost of $120. Work was done in a neat, orderly manner and all debris was removed at end of job. Neat looking work in vanity and in garage.
Description of Work: New drain to bathroom basin to replace an in-wall drain pipe that could not be cleared. Had to install air vent and run new plastic drain pipe through base of vanity into garage below and connect to existing cast iron sewer

The service line from the meter to the house was leaking. I called at about 8am and Cary Plumbing said they would send someone btw 11am and 1pm. The team showed up at about 11:30am and they quickly ascertained that I had the blue Polybutylene pipe which is known to be problematic. They gave me the option of fixing the existing leak but recommended replacing the service line. I elected to go with the replacement. Since they were going to be working under the house anyway, I also asked them to install an additional faucet (bib) on the outside of the house. They gave me a quote of $1287. I don't know how competitive it was. The team that was there explained that they would put in a temporary bypass (running a pipe from the meter, across my lawn and in through a vent in my foundation) to get me back back online and the office would call me later that day to schedule the full replacement of the line (probably in the following week). They explained that they would have the other utilities marked before they could dig the new line anyway. The initial team did their work and I got a call later to schedule the rest of the work the following Tuesday. They said they would be there at 9am and they actually showed up early and got started. They worked as described and left me a note when they had to leave the site to get a tool that they didn't have with them. They installed all the stuff (expansion tank, shutoff value within 3 ft of the access door in the crawl space) to bring it up to code and put in my new external faucet. Since they could not fill in the ditch until it was all inspected, they put caution tape around the ditch. Once it was inspected two days later, they came back and filled in the ditch. At that point, they left me a copy of the work order with the total (which was what they quoted me) and asked me to call the office to arrange payment.

I couldn't get the s trap under the kitchen sink to stop leaking so I called CP. They said 2-4PM Friday, they showed up 2:15 or so I liked that right off the bat. He got under there and notice that yet another of the previous resident's renovations was not done quite right (another story) so he arranged the pipes in the proper way got everything sealed up and dry in about 30-45 min. He suggested that I needed some sort of air vent under there, but that the current, fixed, configuration wouldn't hurt anything it might just run slow and possibly smell. I declined for the time being and he cleaned up and left. 2 weeks now leak-free and a very good experience all-in-all.

They came out, took a look at all 3 items, and said the burst pipe and toilet would be no problem to fix. He was a bit concerned about the shower, as that is usually a problem with the diverter and can be a big job. They took care of the burst pipe and toilet fairly quickly as expected, then tackled the shower. They replaced the handle and cartridge, trying for the quick/easy/less expensive fix, but that left the faucet leaking. They needed to cut into the drywall behind the shower and replace the entire diverter, which was a bigger job and had to be done the next day, warning me it might be as much as $500 depending on how much time it took. They came back the next morning and spent about two hours on the diverter. Final total between the two days was $583, much of it labor but the diverter parts were fairly expensive as well. Unfortunately, the faucet came loose within about 2 days. It would lift when you pulled the shower plunger up to activate the shower head. They came back out the next morning and fixed that pretty quick free of charge. I know how finicky plumbing can be, so this did not bother me a bit, and they were great about getting back out quickly to straighten it out. The only negative experience I had during the repairs was that after the first attempt to fix the shower, I was stuck with a steady but light stream leaking from the faucet. I wish they had stuck around and done the big fix that afternoon, rather than leaving that leak for the rest of the day and overnight then fixing it the next morning. Everything else went great, I was just stuck with that new leak for about 18 hours.
Description of Work: We had a burst pipe on an external hose faucet (right at the faucet, so easy access), a toilet that was leaking from one of the tank bolts, and a shower that had drips from the faucet handle when the water was first turned on and that was hard to adjust the water temperature (no fine control over the handle movement).

They arrived quickly on relatively short notice (next day I think). They were courteous. It was a technician and apprentice. No added charge for the apprentice. They charged me for one hour of work- $93.00. They were here for 1 hr. 15 min., so they could have charged more. I don't think I was charged extra for the few supplies they needed. I has been 3 months and the work has held up well.
Description of Work: I had attempted to install a Grundfos hot water recirculating pump so I would waste less water while waiting for hot water. They succeeded in installing the the parts under the master bath vanity and repaired a fitting I broke off. They figured out the pump at the hot water heater had bad seals and told me to take it back, which I did. I was able to install the new one myself with no difficulty.

It went great, I had Eric come out and give me an estimate, which would have cost $19 but I knew I was going to use them after looking at Angie's List so they waved the fee. Eric thought it would take 6 hours with two guys, instead it took only 3 hours. They were up front and honest about fixing the leaks, so I had them replace the bath faucet instead and pipes under the sink as well. He also cleaned up the work done by the previous owner.
Description of Work: Replaced under the sink drain pipes and supply hoses, installed gas valves and fixed bathtub drain in crawlspace.
