Rep came out for estimate per agreed upon schedule. Walked us though the different options and gave us a quote for the work. Then a subtracted a discount because of Angie's list membership! We did get other quotes but this was the best and we liked the 3M product the best. We schedule an appointment date and time and the installer arrived exactly when expected. Installation took about 1.5 hrs and the work was done as anticipated. The installer was professional, cleaned up, and was courteous. We would recommend this company.

We met the Carolina Solar Control representative at the last home show. She was very informative, but not pushy. When I called for an appointment, she was very professional and provided all the information that we needed and a written estimate. March 4th was a snow/ ice event north of Raleigh, and Carolina Solar Control called to say that the installer was trying to get to work and would be late, and we were given a new installation time. He arrived right at the new time and went immediately to work being careful to cover everything that could get wet during the installation. He explained the entire process as he worked and went over all the information need to care for the window. He cleaned up after himself and replaced the grid in the window, and the entire installation took much less time than I thought it would. The window looks just like it did before and no sun glare!

First class job. I did ask to use the Angie's 10% off coupon when they were finished, and they said they could not honor it with the pricing they had given us. There was not a "condition of use" on the coupon so I was surprised. Should have been worth about $400. Other than that, a first class job.

The technician arrived on time, fully explained the process and completed the installation in a timely manner. He explained the care needed of new film and possible issues that might arise, and to feel free to call with any problems. They did a great job!

Although they were the most expensive estimate I received., I felt that they were the most experienced with instillation. With this particular product, there is no point in buying it if it is not correctly installed.

This company was very easy and pleasant to deal with. The estimate was free. The product is warranted by a nationwide reputable company, and their prices we're excellent. The installer came on time, thoroughly cleaned the window and installed the film. He cleaned up after himself. I would use them again if I had another window that needed light filtration.

Service was prompt and professional and clean up was excellent. No problems.

The individual who provided me with an estimate was prompt, gave good information about the product, and made sound recommendations. The installer was equally prompt, explained the process, and efficient in completing the job. Both were very courteous.

Susan, the sales person is always professional, courteous and fair with her pricing on the window film. This is the second time we've had purchased window film from this company and the installer did a fantastic job with the window film. You cannot even see the seams unless you are looking super closely. The film serves the purpose of blocking out neighbors in our bathroom from looking in, as well as blocking out unwanted heat during the summer, in an office that faces east. We also had security film and privacy film on top of that, on the sidelights by the front door where we do not have a key padlock. It creates privacy for us, yet still allows light to shine through. The pricing, especially for the bathroom windows is very reasonable. You'd be surprised. The cost to have film installed for my windows was less than the cost of a roll of that cheap window cling they sell at Home Depot that takes awhile to put on right and then starts peeling after a short life on your windows. They have quite a variety to choose from and Susan is an expert in what she does. I would not hesitate to call them if you need something for your windows.

The installation went well. Installer arrived on time and was professional. Before he left he provided us with written of what to expect and do and don't until the film dried completely. On the written instructions was a phone number on how to contact the company if we needed to.

Very pleased with Susan the sales rep. She made concrete suggestions for appropriate materials for both glare and heat reduction. The installer was on time, worked quickly and carefully. The product installed at the front of the house has definitely taken care of that problem.

Larry arrived onetime for the first appointment and after some discussion we decided that the original tint we asked for would not block enough glare. Understandingly he did not have the darker film on the truck (we had three large windows needing it). We scheduled another appointment a few days later. He was very knowledgeable and respectful, arrived on time, and the work was completed in a timely manner. There was no extra charge for the extra trip which we greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend this company.

This company was great to work with from the first meeting to the final install. The representative was knowledgeable and quoted us a very fair price. The installer was prompt, neat and did great and fast work.

Susan came out and gave us an estimate on installing window film on 3 windows surrounding our front door, a large window above our front door (2 story foyer), and one small window in our bonus room. She was professional and competent. She took the time to explain what window film could and could not do to reduce UV rays, heat, etc. and she also was very good about explaining the finished appearance of the different types and styles of 3M window film. We decided to go with the Prestige 70, which is the most clear in appearance, is barely tinted and non-reflective, but provides an excellent quality of UV protection and heat reduction. We also got an estimate from another company, but their price was much higher for a similar quality of window film, and we liked the reputation of 3M products. Larry came out to do the installation. He was professional, personable, and knew his business. He installed the window film in the bonus room first. He completed that window quickly and did a good job cleaning up; you couldn't tell he had been in the room. It was apparent that he had many years of experience installing window film. He went downstairs to install the window film on the front windows. Before starting, he inspected the windows, then called us in to tell us that we had seal failure in our windows and that if he installed the window film, we would have to have it redone in a few years, because the seal failure was already pretty bad and would only get worse. We knew that our lower windows were cloudy, but we didn't know the cause. Larry said that he would install the window film if we wanted, but that eventually we would need to have the glass replaced and new window film installed. After much discussion, we decided not to have Larry install the remaining window film. We were really impressed by Larry's integrity in telling us about the seal failure and what would happen with our current windows in the years to come. He called his boss and explained the situation. We were only charged for the one small bonus room window installation. Before he left, Larry thoroughly explained and left with us a sheet explaining the details of the installation, the drying out process of the window film, and how to clean the window in the future. We later received our Warranty from 3M through the mail. We would recommend without hesitation Carolina Solar Control, Inc. for your window film needs. Since then we decided to have all of the glass in our entry way replaced with Low-E glass, so we will not be needing any window film for those windows.

Responsive, attentive, and professional. They did a great job and we're very happy with our selection and how it has helped us in the latter part of this past summer to cut down on solar glare and a/c use.

Everything went smoothly from my initial telephone call to Carolina Solar Control, Inc. to the salesman who came out to give me an estimate and discuss the types of material that would be appropriate to my needs. The installer of the film was efficient, neat, and polite. He provided me with a brochure that detailed the drying process of the film and the care and maintenance needed. We received a follow-up phone call from the company to check on our satisfaction. The whole job went painlessly and smoothly and we are completely satisfied with Carolina Solar Control, Inc.

They met and exceeded our expectations!

I was looking to have some high front entrance foyer windows tinted to help eliminate the heat gain I was getting in the cavernous open space of my staircase. I received quotes from Sun Protection of Cary and I had also reached out to Carolina Solar Control of Cary. I chose to go with the 3M Prestige Series 70 window film through Carolina Solar because I liked the clarity of that film and I was mostly interested in reducing the heat gained from the west afternoon sun. My installer was punctual and very skilled at applying film. I am a former employee of a major window manufacturer in the Midwest so I know all their is to know about windows, glass, low E etc... I was impressed, as I watched the installation, at how matter of fact it was for him to apply the film - which showed me he had plenty of experience doing this work. He was very respectful of my house and belongings. My installation occurred on a cloudy day (today) so I have not yet experienced the temperature difference I anticipate I will notice with my window film. For the record, my experience with both companies through the product pitching and quoting processes was very pleasant There are minor pro's and con's to each advertised product. Price was not a big factor in my decision. I'm sure both competitive products perform in a similar fashion. I just decided that the clarity of the product and the advertised performance of the 3M film was what I would go with. Overall, my experience with Carolina Solar Control as a company has been impressive. Now I will wait to see if my product choice to use the 3M brand is as impressive.

Jeff came out to give me a quote. He showed me several different types of 3M window film. I chose the most advanced option, which has as little tint as possible while keeping out almost all of the sun's heat. A couple of guys came out and did a nice job on the install; the difference in heat coming through those windows is very noticeable and I'm 100% satisfied with the end result and the entire experience with Carolina Solar!
