The good: Todd was courteous at the beginning, he was there on time and agreed to match the lowest quote I had for the service. The bad: We had an expert reviewing his work, and apparently there were things that were not done properly. The worst was when the very same day the HDMI cable broke. I called him to ask him to replace it and he was incredibly rude and tried to blame us for this! It was really awful. Eventually he sent a friend that charged us another $100 to change the cable. Definitely do not recommend this provider, he was not professional and did not guaranteed his work.

Todd was punctual, friendly, and professional. He patiently explained my options and completed the work quickly. He made sure everything was working before wrapping up. I would definitely use again!

Todd arrived on time. He assessed all my needs and went right to work. Everything was done and cleanup performed all within 90 minutes. I wholeheartedly recommend Atkins Wiring.

The technician was very adept with respect to installing the mount and television, and I appreciated that he cleaned up after himself. Furthermore, he arrived on time, and he was courteous and professional during our interactions.

Atkins was prompt, professional, cheerful and able to fix the problem quickly and efficiently. He explained why the speakers were not working, several options for configuring the system so they would work, and then let me choose which option I preferred. I know almost nothing about speakers and receivers, yet he was able to explain to me how the components worked so that I have a much better understanding of our system - and all of the speakers now work!

Todd returned our call (on Thanksgiving morning!!) within less than five minutes after our voice mail. When my husband explained the problem he was having, Todd told him exactly how to make the repair himself so we didn't even need a service call. WOW. I will definitely call him again!! My husband was able to make the repair successfully. Thank you Todd!!

It went great!! Prior to his arrival we discussed the situation over the phone (I was concerned about putting my 135lb TV on the wall). During our phone conversation I could tell that he was professional and knew what he was talking about. I called him on a Friday (I think) and he was at my house the following Monday on time. He explained what he was going to do in detail and everything went smooth. Please don't be turned off by the price listed above: some of the material I used was expensive and that added to the cost. In addition, the price is well worth the knowledge he provided. Overall, I'm very pleased with the end result and with Atkins Wiring. I will use them in the future for any electrical/TV needs. One other note, the way my TV went on the wall and the way we ran the wires I had to have sheet rock repair (that's normal if you don't want all your wires hanging down from the TV). It's not a major amount of sheet rock repair, just some patch work. Anyways, Atkins wiring recommned a sheet rock repair man and that went great as well!! Overall, Atkins Wiring is a great company and I'm looking forward to using their services again in the future. John

After encountering several years of issues with a telephone line at my home, I finally called Atkins Wiring and left messages a couple of times before speaking with Tim Atkins. He called the day prior to his actual visit to advise that he had another appointment that was within 45 minutes of my house and he agreed to work me in assuming he still had time. On the scheduled day, I received a call from Tim around 10 AM. He asked for directions to my home and arrived about 45 minutes later. During the initial meeting Tim mentioned that he usually didn't service my area because of his location in Cary but because his last client was relatively close to my home, he agreed to meet with me. We briefly discussed the problem that I had been experiencing and Tim promptly inspected a telephone base plate that I suspected was the cause of my problem. He quickly identified the base plate was an older model and that it wasn't in the best of shape. Upon removing the plate, he quickly identified several wires that had been cut during previous home remodeling prior to me purchasing the property. I had previously inspected the wires but the problem wasn't readily identifiable and I didn't see the damage. Tim repaired the wires and replaced the base plate. He also inspected the telephone distribution box outside the home and advised that everything there looked good. Now the telephone works better than it ever has. The sound quality is crystal clear. Tim was prompt, courteous and very likable. He is efficient and professional. I would highly recommend Atkins Wiring for anyone with similar issues.

Our TV in the family room was mounted too close the fireplace and we had to move it up ourselves later. In the other rooms, he simply put up the brackets. He did not fish the wires to hide them. He was expensive for what he did. This work was not completed directly for me, I researched and provided a recommendation for a family member who did have work complete under the last name Kirsch. This is their review of experience and the address of the service completed is attached.

My antenna was installed with knowledge and care. Mr. Atkins returned my call promptly, arrived on time, and set to work making sure everything was installed correctly, which involved running the antenna cable from my attic through an outside wall and back into the room where my television is situated. He had to troubleshoot the cable installation because of an unusual horizontal stud in the wall that prevented running the cable directly from the attic to the inside wall. He quickly found a solution and had the cable ready for the antenna. He kept me informed of the situation and the alternatives while he worked. The installer even had a compass so he could direct the antenna properly for the best signal based on a coverage map from tvfool.com that I provided. I am very happy with the installation and the service provided and will use Atkins Wiring again for wiring services.

Great service, nice guy. Did his best to clean up what he could. Arrived at earlier end of time frame, which is always lovely and seems to be rare in my experiences in the past few months. *thumbs up*

Todd is a very nice guy and has flexible schedule. He came to my house on time. Get everything done within 30 minutes. Very nice work and good price. Will call him next time.

I was very pleased with the overall expereince in working with Atkins Wiring. Todd, the owner was right on time for the appointment, was professional and courteous. Todd was very proficient and willing to provide as much time needed to complete the projects discussed.

Todd Atkins is an all-around class act. Prompt, efficient, friendly, honest and tenacious. My lighting fixture problem turned out to be a strange problem with oddly installed original wiring. I think most electricians would have walked out and told me to call someone else. But Todd was determined and eventually got to the source of the problem, charging me for only the basic electrical call. You can't go wrong with him and I'll definitely use him for future electrical needs.

Todd arrived on time and carefully explained what needed to be done. He answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns. The results are terrific and we are delighted.

I was not able to use Atkins wiring

Todd was prompt with a return call and set up an appointment for the next morning. He found the wires under the house, brought them outside so they could be patched into the external phone box. We built the house and used a phone from the cable company from the first day so we never noticed the lack of an external phone connection. Todd made sure that the wire was not only pulled, but also didn't leave until he was sure that the whole system worked, which was just as well because he discovered a flaw in the internal wiring box the builder had installed. Todd was able to patch around it and make it work without having to replace the whole box. He ended up charging me for only the standard one-hour service call even though it took him longer to make sure it was done right. He was timely, professional, very knowledgable, courteous, careful and thorough. In other words, he was everything that you'd want from a tradesman coming to your house. I'd use him again without hesitation.

Was very pleased at the high degree of ownership displayed by the technician in the job. There were several challenges that made both the phone and cable installation "nonstandard". The technician took his time in identifying alternatives and discussed them with me. Even after we chose a course of action, during the actual installations, he came up with ways to improve our original approach. Creative, professional and customer focused.

Todd did an excellent job. He scheduled the work within two days of our original call, was right on time, and was great to work with. He explained exactly what work needed to be done, along with some different options for our particular equipment, and made good recommendations about the best solution. He provided the mounting bracket for the television, wrote down the specific steps to follow to use the new set-up with our television and sound system, and patiently gave me a hands-on lesson for operating everything. In addition, he made good suggestions about things to think about as we consider making changes to some other existing wiring and lighting in the house. We would definitely recommend Atkins Wiring and are very likely to use Todd in the future.

Luckily he had just finished a job and was at my door within 20 minutes of returning my call. The task was messy because the heating/AC system was underneath the cabinet where my surround system was located. I already had the HDMI cable, and he was able to pull it through existing holes, which surprised me because I thought they were too small. He also removed some old ethernet wiring which was not getting the job done. The new HDMI worked like a champ. He was in and out in just over an hour. I will use Atkins again, for sure.

Restored surround sound, programmed TV remote to HD channels and advised that DVD was broken and needed to be replaced. Todd was on time and professional. We used him again to set up our new DVD player and put up a wall-mounted flat screen TV in the guest room. Rick Steineger

Todd provides very good service. He is very thorough. He has a fair price. He does what he says he is going to do. If he sees things are not safe, he will check other things.
