My frustration was they said they would show up and then didn't. They gave us a time of the morning and we would wait all day, trying to contact them and they would not show up. No phone call no nothing. Then two days later just show up. One time I asked them to show up because one of our four sprinkler heads was broken. I needed it fixed because I just had the lawn aerated and reseeded. This was a Monday. They finally called us on Wednesday and said they would be out on Thursday. We were out of town the following Monday and they showed up. They called and we told them to come back because the valve to turn on the water was in the garage. He said no sweat he could test it from outside. (Not sure how that works. There is no way to turn it on from outside.) I told him exactly which head was broken. We came home to a bill to replace all four. That is not what we asked for. He claimed all four were broken. They weren't because he had had another professional bring it to our attention. That bill was over 150. Of course getting them out to winterize and do our certificate was a pain as well. There was one other repair where he said he'd show up and didn't for days.

The wires on our irrigation system were cut during lawn maintenance over the winter. We discovered this when we turned on the irrigation system for the summer. Scott's company, Artisan Irrigation is the label on our controller box, so I felt it best to contact him to give them the opportunity to service the product they installed. I contacted scott on Saturday 5/9 - and he said that he would call me on the following monday to schedule a time. Scott DID not call me on Monday. I called him back on Monday evening to try to get him to schedule. He couldn't seem to recall any details from our Saturday conversation, and said he would call me on Wednesday and let me know when he would be coming on Thursday. He never called on Wednesday. I called him on Thursday several times, he finally returned my call on Thursday, and asked me to text my street address to him. He showed up Thursday evening and began work. His equipment needed to be charged, so he was unable to finish the job and said he would return on Monday. In the mean-time, he showed me how to operate the system manually. He returned on Monday, and finally resolved the issue on Wednesday. The cost was reasonable, and I felt like the change/fix he made was beneficial.

Excellent. Bobby adjusted and dug out each sprinkler head, to ensure proper coverage, which was better than the previous service over 9 years combined. We also talked about some of the worn heads needing to be replaced in mid summer for more coverage and efficiency. If you're tired of having a unreliable irrigation company, I would highly recommend contacting Scott at Artisan.

I am very pleased with the services they provide. They are very professional, except one time they winterized the system before I was ready to turn it off. I have a contract for their service, and would recommend them highly.

I love Artisan Irrigation.. I had a nightmare experience four yrs ago with another company which is highly rated on Angies List. The other company had energetic, hardworking Hispanic laborers but the white, young supervisor and his boss and owner, also relatively young (late 30s) were awful. It was the middle of summer and we went away assuming our valuable new installation was being watered properly. Wrong! One zone was never turned on and no apologies were made. I will not review the bad company because I object to Angie's policy of giving out names of reviewers to companies. The owner was creepy scary and I do not want to be identified. Anyway, back to my review of Artisan Irrigation. I got their name from a landscape lighting company and began using them four yrs ago to correct the other company's mistakes and perform our semi annual maintenance. The owner, Scott, is very kind and helpful and is also educated with a degree in horticulture I think. Education and knowledge base is important when you want proper watering conditions for a range of plantings with different requirements. I think the company is small with just one service tech who is also very reliable (has been with the company a long time). But the owner often comes out himself. Phone calls are promptly returned and their rates are reasonable. Highly recommend.
