Charlie and his crew did a great job. This is the second time I have used them. They thoroughly cleaned the deck, sanded everything and then treated the deck. Some bad boards were replaced. They also built a new set of stairs on the deck. They did a great job of cleaning up when they were done and were really easy to work with. I will hire them again when I get my deck retreated again.

Use before and was very satisfied..Contacted recently. After several calls and e-mail I was contacted...Said he would come by and look at deck. Not sure if he did or not and have not heard anything since even after a follow up e-mail...Certainly not professional in customer management especially for returning / existing customers...

It went very well. I'm only sorry we didn't use Charlie from the get-go. We had 3 quotes. We really liked Charlie but initially decided to go with someone else because this other guy had a slightly lower price and was recommended by a neighbor. (Our mistake, because the other company/guy was terrible.) We called Charlie to take over and he did. Even though the first guy power washed, Charlie recommended that he re-powerwash, which initially I didn't think was necessary, but boy could you tell a difference. All the more proof that we made the right decision to switch mid project. Charlie and his team were diligent, professional, honest, hard working, responsible (coming every possible weather-permitting day) and kind. The end result is great! Our deck and screened-in porch are beautifully stained/painted and we are proud of this new difference in our home and can't wait to have guests over. We appreciate it all and highly recommend Apex DeckSavers.

This is the second time we've used Apex Deck Savers and we've been very pleased each time. The first time was several years ago when they cleaned and stained our deck, fence, and front stoop. This time we only had the deck and front stoop redone because they experience a lot of foot traffic and pollen / algae exposure; the fence still looks great. They're not the cheapest company, but you get what you pay for and they do an incredible job. No other company was willing to put so much work into our deck and now it looks like new. Charlie and his crew care about your satisfaction and will come back until you're completely happy with the job they've done. I'd recommend them to anyone based on the great experiences we've had.

Services and value provided by Apex DeckSavers got 10 of 10 stars from my wife and I. Charlie owns and operates a thoroughly professional company. He currently specializes in restoring, refinishing wood decks. Our experience was by the book superb from beginning to end. All work done on schedule, completely. The end product was a the conversion of a peeling, cracked, blotchy deck into a wonderful, pleasant deck that I love sitting one again! This was one of the few times that I sincerely felt that I had underpaid for the quality of work done. My wife and I both refused to take a discount for posting a review. After all was done Charlie recommended that we wait before trying to stain the deck. So when was the last time you heard someone recommend waiting to perform additional services? I am hoping that Charlie expands his services as there are many more we can use.

Charlie with Apex Deck Savers was a true pleasure to work with! He was prompt, courteous, honest and a genuine upstanding business man that stood behind his work. His team came out for three days of work to completely clean and sand out the splintered wood of my two tiered deck with pergola. They came back when the weather permitted and stained it - they did an amazing job! Worth the money!! You won't be disappointed with them!

It was great. We had been avoiding having the deck and porch re-stained. We started getting quotes a year ago. All of the people who came by seemed professional and courteous. All of the quotes were pretty much the same - about $1100. Since the deck is assumed to be about 20 years old (we just bought the house three years ago), all of the service providers said we would have to go with a and quot;semi-soldand quot; stain, which to us looked too much like wood-colored paint. By the time I contacted Charlie at Apex Decksavers, I was about ready to do that, anyway, just to get it done with. I didn't realize what a difference a true deck specialist makes. Charlie was the only one who said that semi-transparent was an option and he thought it would look good. His quote, however, was much higher - $1900. After meeting Charlie, I knew his company was the way to go, but how could I justify the extra expense for a 20-year old deck? The more I thought about it, the more I realized that it wasn't just a premium for a specialist. He was the only one who was going to cover everything, including the play area beneath the main part of the deck. He was also going to repair any and all defects he found. And the stain was a better stain and the look we wanted. I researched Charlie and found nothing to question his professionalism. The the contrary, I only found him posting to deck staining web site discussions and saw that even others around the country respected his opinions. Finally, after a month or so of gnashing my teeth, I hired him. Charlie and his crew did everything we wanted and more, and in a timely manner. They cleaned and sanded until our deck looked like wood! I noticed that they also cleaned up the wood for a raised garden bed that is next to the deck. What I didn't expect was that they would also stain that to match the deck and another wooden frame we have around a tree next to the deck. We never contracted for that. They just did it. When they were done, we were so happy we made the decision we did. Even after we paid our bill, Charlie returned when I called him about a part of the frame that needed some extra maintenance work. He never hesitated. In two days I saw that he had done what I asked. I am sure that the painters that quoted me would have done a fine job. There is no way that they would have done what Apex Decksavers did. Two months later, we still smile when we look at our deck. It's silly, I know. A deck is just a thing, after all. But, we like the natural feeling that we get when we're out there now.

Fantastic! The deck was in pretty a pretty bad state. It was like a skating rink when it got wet. Now it looks like brand new. They were a bit more expensive than just getting a painting service to wash and stain it, but VERY worth it.

Charlie came out promptly and gave me an accurate quote, It was not the cheapest, but I felt he was the most knowledgeable of the 4 quotes we considered. His crew and he did an excellent job! Then it rained on the deck ALL summer and I kept waiting for the stain to fade away, no way, it held up better than I have ever seen! I Would recommend him very strongly.

Charlie and his team cleaned and restained our front deck last year. They did a great job. This spring I had a company come to clean our deck and they over cleaned it with high pressure and chlorine based cleaner. It really did a number on the stain. I contacted Charlie on Saturday via email and was surprised that he showed up at my door later that day. He assessed the situation and provided me an estimate for a restain. The price was well worth it. His crew showed up on time were very professional, moved everything off of the deck and replaced it when it was dry. They even came back and checked on the job a few days later. It looked great.

Charlie impressed us from the first telephone call to schedule a time that he could look at our deck to the end when we came home to a beautifully stained deck. He was very professional, thorough and delivered when he said he would. Our restained deck looks great and we're enjoying it greatly. I'd definitely recommend him!

Very pleased with the complete service! Moved our plants and furniture for us, cleaned and restained the deck, returned everything back to the deck! He has done several decks in our neighborhood and we are all pleased!

My deck was in very sad shape. A poor stain job, little to no maintenance and time/weather had combined to age it prematurely. I needed to make a drastic change. I decided to have Apex Decksavers come out and rehab the deck. It looks fantastic now. What was until recently an eyesore is now a great-looking asset. Charlie was very professional and when a scheduling change needed to be made (due to weather mostly) he did a great job keeping me in the loop. I would recommend them and would definitely use them again.
