When our weed problem grew out of control, we hired Acres of Green, as many of our neighbors had done. In the past year and a half, they have shown up in a timely fashion, they've done the work described, and, most importantly, our lawn looks amazing. The owners are friendly and courteous, and the price is competitive. There are no contracts or pre-payments at all, and they aerate and seed in the fall (for additional charges, of course). I'm surprised at the other negative reviews, as most of our neighborhood uses them.

We had previously used a and quot;big nameand quot; company , to which our yard was healthy. Started with Acres of Green in early 2013. The whole yard never and quot;greened upand quot; or looked completely healthy, and we had many weeds. When mentioning this to the owners (who do the actual work), they always brushed it off and had an excuse, and weren't receptive to questioning. Acted and quot;offendedand quot;. We feel that they skimped on their application, especially since we had an extra large lawn. You could see the swipes they made in the yard, and the spots that were completely missed with fertilization and seeding. Only writing this review to spare others the same fate with their yard. We had only switched from the big name company because felt like a number, and we'd had a seeing scheduling problem to which the management didn't work with us on getting them back in a timely manner. The price was basically the same. We've decided to go back to the other company and already after 2 treatments this year, our yard looks and quot;greenand quot; again.

When we started the service we had very very few weeds. We have never hired anyone to take care of this before. They offered the services and the price seemed reasonable. We told them we were going to aerate and seed in the spring, as the season permitted and as suggested by all lawn professionals. A year later our yard has more grass but it looks TERRIBLE! We have tons of weeds, which we never had before. When I called to tell them this he told me its because we seeded and they couldn't apply an emergent. That is totally false! We ended up paying for the year of service but needed to hire another company because the yard is in such bad shape we are concerned our HOA will fine us. I do not recommend this company for any services.

I bought a year contract for five applications.

They have been very reliable. They come when they are supposed to, and do what they are supposed to. They are reasonably priced. They are always polite and nice.

We think they do a good job taking care of our yard and killing out the weeds. The previous owner hired them to take care of the lawn and we continued to use them. They take notes on the types of weeds that we have and how he is fixing the problem areas.

It was good the first few years we used them. My wife used them at her house before we were married and no complaints. I used them for a year at my house, same results. We bought a bigger house with a large yard, and have had nothing but problems. We have neighbors who don't get their yards treated with better looking yards then ours! We have a ton of brown patch, which we asked them to come out and treat. It took them 8 days, and by that time, it was worse and spots all over the lawn died. Our backyard is a weedfest, looks absolutely horrible. Also have nutgrass all over the yard which they've had to come out and treat for at no charge, but it didn't kill much of it. All in all, the last two years have been a major disappointment, and we're going to look for a new lawn care company. To top it all off, the last couple times we've asked them to come out, the guy that's treated the yard had a major attitude. We believe they're becoming too big for their britches.

WE HAVE THEM COME FIVE TIMES PER YEAR, AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE. MY LAWN LOOKS GOOD, AND ANY SPOTS THAT DIDN'T FILL IN WERE BECAUSE OF MY PART, NOT THEIRS.

I DO MY OWN MOWING, BUT THEY COME OUT AND TAKE CARE OF THE SPRAYING. THE LAWN IS GREEN AND I REALLY HAVEN'T HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH WEEDS IN THE GRASS SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN COMING OUT.

I HAVE A YEARLY CONTRACT WITH THEM. I THINK THEY PUT MORE FERTILIZER ON THE BACKYARD THAN THE FRONT, SO THE GRASS GROWS FASTER AND I HAVE TO MOW THE BACK MORE OFTEN THAN THE FRONT. THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE TO BE AROUND AND PROFESSIONAL.
