Description of Work: General maintenance on my house: painting, replace rotting trim, replace garage door, etc. Several years ago, I don't remember precisely when or how much they charged.

Description of Work: Estimate was performed on time, however in three month the provider was only able to offer one (!) day when he can come for service. Unfortunately I was out of town. Provider's response on my multiple inquiries was that he offered me a day and has no other days available in my area.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for 2 hours of general carpentry work.

Description of Work: It started out well. We had a good email exchange about the work to be performed. Then just as we were about to schedule the work, he stopped emailing back. I tried emailing 3 times, and then tried calling a few more times over the next few months, not getting an answer or being offered to leave a message. I'm sure it would have been ok but I do not have time to try to track down non-responsive people. Also at some point he noted that the work site is quite far from the place of business, which is something the BIG DEAL did not take into account, He was still committed to try to get out here, but it probably wouldn't be worth it, so maybe that is why he decided not to come. No hard feelings, I just want my money back.

Description of Work: Bought a coupon for handyman services on Angie's list. Took a long time for Shawn to respond. Came out once and completed some tasks. I had more hours left on coupon. Any further attempts to reach Shawn were not responded to or things I asked to be done he said he would not do on the coupon. What difference does it make what you are doing? I bought time. Shawn ran another special on Angie's list before all the people from the first time were taken care of. Bad experience. Asking for a refund for the hours I have left.

Description of Work: Fixed three toilets in bathroom that are rarely used and were leaking.

Description of Work: The 300.00 dollars was for a deposit before the work began. Short and sweet, this guy took 4 weeks to do half of a one week job and the quality was bad. I have to get someone else to finish the job now. He was always late or didn't show at all for appointments and never called. Do not use this guy for anything.

Description of Work: I had asked for several services. The work was done exceptionally fast and accurately, except for the cabinet hinges. He installed a new mechanism on a toilet, installed a light fixture, repaired a board on my deck, gave me some advice about tile work, and tightened the hinges on all of my kitchen cabinets. I had alerted him that there were problems with just tightening, but he said he had fixed everything. Unfortunately, the cabinet hinges came loose again, but I called him back and he came right back! A 1 year guarantee on work. I will use him for as much electrical and plumbing work that he feels able to do. He was very nice and very helpful.

Description of Work: removed fluorescent fixture and replaced with track lighting. Repaired peeling tape from apex of ceiling. Installed ceiling fan with light.

Description of Work: Shawn came to look at the job( entry door replacement and sidings) but never sent estimates, even after I called twice. He seems very knowledgable, but maybe too busy!

Description of Work: Responsive and professional. Came out and reviwed the job and stated right up front that it was a bigger job than they could handle. I appreciated their honesty.

Description of Work: Screen porch to sun room conversion.

Description of Work: Shawn Von Allmen is the owner and does the work himself. He gave me very specific quotes to replace exterior wood that was rotten, and as he found additional problem areas, he explained them to me and gave me an idea of what else needed to be done. I had some major water damage which had been covered up by earlier "repairmen". Shawn did a beautiful job of restoring the structure and the surfaces affected, efficiently and at a very reasonable price for all the work he did. I will definitely hire him again for any repair work, inside or out, that he is willing to do!
