+ -1 moreAmerican Chimney Sweep came out and inspected the fireplace/chimney. He explained that the chimney was a prefab and that there were safety measures in place to prevent sparks from passing through the cracks and igniting the chimney. To ease my concerns, he cemented the cracks anyway. Additionally, he took the time to answer all my questions and to explain some basic fireplace maintenance and usage items.
Description of Work: I recently purchased a new home and decided that I should get a chimney inspection and cleaning. There were some cracks in the fireplace that I was concerned with.

+ -1 moreExcellent - very informative and helpful. When I called I was able to schedule a cleaning for the next morning! I had never had our chimney cleaned before so I was a little unsure of what would be found. Turned out just a LOT of soot, the service was very quick, and the fireplace looks incredible. He was a little late for the appointment, but it all worked out.

+ -1 moreTHEY DID A GOOD JOB, BUT IT WAS A LITTLE TOO MUCH MONEY, BECAUSE THE WHOLE JOB TOOK LESS THAN AN HOUR. I DO KNOW THAT IT WAS A JOB I WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED TO DO MYSELF.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE THOROUGH AND RESPONSIVE. THEY WERE A FEW MINUTES LATE, BUT THEY KNOCKED A FEW DOLLARS OFF THE PRICE TO MAKE UP FOR IT. AS FAR AS WE KNOW THEY DID A GOOD JOB.
