About us

Mongoven Builders Inc. is a licensed general contractor based in Carrboro, NC. Since 2001 we have been building in Orange, Chatham, Durham, and Alamance counties. We specialize in full-service home remodeling, additions, and renovations. In nearly all of our projects we do the work with the homeowners living in the house. As a result, we're aware of the disruption home construction can cause and take special care to control dust, noise, debris, and truck traffic. We actively focus on job quality as well as homeowner comfort and safety throughout the project. We encourage you to ask for client and architect references. We have a long list who are happy to talk with you about their construction experience, tell you about our workmanship and tidiness, and even give you a tour of their homes for you to see the care we take with our work.

Luke Mongoven, the owner of the business, used his own crew and several subcontractors to accomplish this rebuilding/remodeling job. After the materials arrived, the work proceeded very quickly, with Luke out nearly everyday overseeing the work. Each crew did excellent work, and Luke was very responsive to my questions and requests. The price was quite fair. My wife and I were incredibly happy with the work, and Mongoven Builders will be my choice for any future needs.
Description of Work: Reconstruction in one wall and the rood of an addition to my home, installation of new fiber cement siding, installation of skylights and many windows, painting.

He is finished with the project, so we are done with him. There are still a couple of things that he needs to tidy up for us. He is very personal, thorough, detailed, and a very patient man by nature. He has done a very good job coordinating and not also have lag times, he has always made things continuous. I think he is pretty reasonable, he uses all local plumbers, electricians and service providers.
Description of Work: We used Mongoven Building. He is a contractor. We have been renovating our house here, and he provided all the services. He did a first floor renovation, and he made the attic space liveable.

HE CAN DO ABOUT ANY KIND OF REMODELING WORK, AND IS VERY GOOD AT IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE FOR A SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZED JOB. HIS PRICES ARE VERY COMPETITIVE, I THINK.
Description of Work: HE FIXED MY FRONT ENTRANCE DOOR, REPAIRED A FENCE, AND ALSO REPAIRED A DEFECT WITH THE RAFTER WORK ON MY ROOF.
