Project went well and workmanship was very good

Andrews Heating & Air is honest and responsive. We found out not all A/C & Heating companies are honest. They were the 3rd company I called. The first representative from a highly rated company, after a short superficial analysis, recommended a new system. The second had me walk around with him. He said my evaporator coil had a serious leak and he felt it would be best to replace the entire unit. In order to try to prove it to me, he used a device that made a noise when it supposedly pointed to a leak, and it made a lot of noise. He also said the unit was low 4 pounds of Freon. When Andrew came, he said I had a leak but he didn't think it was the coil. He had his technician come by who confirmed the coil did not leak but the Schrader valve did. He replaced the valve. He put in only 1 pound of Freon, which is all he said it needed. The system has been working just fine ever since.

I have used them a number of times. They're great too. The price was reasonable. They always come when you need them and it's easy to make appointments with them too. You want your heater fixed quickly when it goes out and they always do a good job about working things around so they can fix you. I am totally satisfied with them. The fact that they make an effort to get there quickly when you need them is the best thing about them.

This guy is fantastic. Anytime I have problems with the AC I call them. They only send one guy, it took 20 minutes to complete. The area looks fantastic.

It could have been a lot better. The company was prompt in scheduling the appointment and came to assess the unit. I left work to meet them at home and they had already determined the problem was due to a motor that had gone out on the unit. They quoted a cost of $400 and said they could return the next day to install it. I asked if it was worth doing the repair since the unit was already old and $400 is a lot of money to put into an old unit. They told me that it was and I went ahead and listened to their suggestion and authorized them to make the change. Two weeks later, the unit stopped again. I called and asked somebody to come fix it and received a text message the next morning telling me to call Boer Brothers because Andrews didn't have a technician available. I called Boer Brothers and they came out that same day and repaired the problem, which was unrelated to the repair that Andrews made. However, in doing so, they also noted that there were parts on the unit that had begun to rust and that I would be lucky to get a year out of the unit. They further noted that they would never recommend a client to put a motor into a unit that is 15-years old. After informing Andrews that I thought they had provided a poor recommendation given that the unit was in failing condition, they texted back to say "we shall see". Don't bother with the "we shall see" guaranty. Rather, take their advice and call Boer Brothers the first time.

Like in the past, the service provided by Andrew's this time was top notch. They have always provided honest, fair, responsive, and punctual service. I highly recommend.

They came when they had been scheduled to come just as promised. Fortunately, I knew last fall that I would be needing a new AC unit come spring because my regular heating and air service provider had informed me of upcoming issues. I had planned long term for this service with them however when the time came to do the replacement, he was delaying for 3 weeks after multiple reschedulings. I decided this may be a red flag. With the weather coming on summer, I decided not to delay in calling another business and joined Angies list specifically to research other companies to get the job completed before summer. Andrew came out to view the job requirements and then had his workers come out to perform. They did exactly as promised, the only issue was with hauling off the old unit and materials but they told us ahead of time that they needed to leave it out by the driveway for a few days and would come back to get it for removal. They returned in 3 days to get it all and we had no problem with that at all. I have a co-worker who lives in Raleigh have her AC quit a month later and had trouble getting service, so I recommended Andrews. She called and although they came out promptly, it took a week for the unit to be ordered but she too was happy with the service provided.

It was a warm Friday evening and I arrived home and noticed that I had no HVAC and that my thermostat was not working. I called Andrew's Heating and Air after 5:00 pm and they responded very quick and said that they would have someone there to help in 20 minutes. The technician showed up on time and immediately identified that the problem was a blown fuse in my air hander. He quickly inserted a new fuse and everything was working as before! I was incredibly grateful that it was such a quick fix. I will definitely call Andrew's Heating and Air again if I have problems with my HVAC. It's fantastic to get such quick and knowledgeable service!

Andrew's Heating & Air are the best as far as I'm concerned. My boss's house was having some difficulties with the upstairs staying cool. At first we thought we would need to replace the entire unit, but thanks to Andrew and his Team they found out what the real problem was. A previous company had put in the wrong refrigerant and changed the fitting, there for making it impossible to cool the upstairs. Andrews Heating & Air were able to fix the problem and saved us a lot of money. They were very professional, courteous, honest, on-time and did not throw in the towel when it became a complicated problem to fix. We will be using them from now on with any Heating or Air service we need. These guys are by the BEST!

Drew and his team were recommended by a neighbor. They are reasonably priced, straight-forward and honest. A HUGE relieve when dealing with HVAC issues. The guy from Andrew's Heating and Air was honest, let me know that 2 of the 3 recommendations from another contractor related to my AC were not necessary (I had my suspicions which is why I called another contractor) and took care of the 3rd issue, all within an hour. Sweet. I look forward to doing business with these guys for years to come.

Reliable, reasonable prices, professional and always timely.

Andrew came to the house within one business day, and was there promptly to re-program our thermostat that had been installed incorrectly by Time Warner Cable. He was finished with the work very quickly (5-10 minutes) and gave us a discounted rate of $25 (as opposed to his normal $60 for a small job) since it only took him a few minutes. I would certainly use Andrew's services again.

He was the only contractor out of the 4 that I contacted who returned my call. He arrived at the scheduled time and inpected the system. He advised me that although the system was quite old, it was still functioning normally and did not need immediate replacement. He did provide a quote for replacement which seemed very reasonable. I will definitely use them in the future for any repairs or replacement.

Andrews has been servicing our unit for years and we couldn't be happier with them. They're always quick and responsive and have been helpful in keeping our old unit running!

He is excellent. He went above and beyond all the time. He had been out here before several times and he had been out that week and we have three ac units and he had repaired one and then on Thursday my husband fell off the roof and fell on the other three ac unit and completely crushed it. I had people come in from all over, coming to stay in the house with kids, and my father-in-law pointed that we of course needed air conditioning and so my daughter-in-law called this man and he came out on a Saturday and repaired everything and brought in a new ac unit, didn't worry about the money anything could not even charge me until few months later after husband came out of the hospital and he had three broken ribs, broken back everything nearly God and he was just beyond numerical for me at the time. He gave me warranty on it and everything. I would highly recommend them. I would continue to use them.

The pricing was appropriate for the service. They were very responsive and punctual.

Stay Away He took a few days to come look at the problem of no air, then replaced a part. That part didn't work, so he changed out a second part, which worked for a week. I called to say it broke again, and he said he was too busy to come back out. I have rental properties and he had my credit card on file from a previous job. He charged my card over $700 for parts and labor and I had a system that didn't work. CWJ came out the next day and fixed the problem for less than $100 and it's still working two years later. I tried to get a cancellation from my credit card company, but Andrews sent them an invoice (which I didn't see and didn't authorize) so they couldn't remove the charge. Stay away from this guy!!

He did a good job at a reasonable cost. I have used him for several years now. He gives me a good price. He doesn't try to oversell me. I trust him to give me a brief story what I really need. He does competent work. I would use him in the future too.

Called Andrew at 9:25, he called me back at 9:30 and arrived 5 minutes later (he was finishing up a nearby call). Andrew diagnosed the problem and verified it with his meter. He went to get the part, returned, installed it, and was done by 10:30. He also tightened the connectors on the motor to correct a vibration, told me about moving the damper during the summer (that was news to me), and provided some advice on when or if I needed to replace the unit. He said it would keep going for awhile despite its 15 year age. He was efficient, focused, and professional. I had the exact same part replaced in 2009 for $220 so he beat Accu-Air of Durham by $60. I will use him again.

I had long known that this system needed to be replaced, and that the air handler coil had an irreparable leak. I specified a replacement that would meet the new Federal efficiency standards for the tax rebate, as well as Duke Energy's rebate requirement for a variable-speed fan. I started by getting three bids. Based on past experience, I was prepared to give Andrew the job if he came close to the lowest, but as it happened, his was the low bid. I know from past experience that Andrew is reliable and will stand behind his work. As always, Andrew planned the job for our convenience. He and his assistant started the job yesterday, getting us set up with resistance ("strip") heat overnight to tide us through, then finished up today. They always treat our house with respect and take off their shoes before tracking into the house. We noticed yesterday that the fan in the new air handler, which clearly moves more air than the old one, caused the louvered return vents to whistle, so Andrew changed them out for a different kind at no additional charge - problem solved! The new unit is working just fine.

Excellent work. Andrew said he would come to our house 2 hours after we called him. He was punctual and pleasant. He described the work he needed to do and replaced the failed part. His price was reasonable and he advised us about the heating unit. He also helped us determine the type of filter we needed for the unit. Since we are new to the area, we definitely will call Andrew again if we need work done on our furnace.
