Description of Work: Arrived a bit late the first time. Was by herself so it took her a long time to clean the part of my house we had agreed on. She did some windows which she had been told she didn't need to do. The master bath tile was not cleaned well. I was fairly pleased with everything else and she did encourage me to call if found somethimng I wasn't happy with and she would come back. We agreed she would come once a month, at 1 PM, and set the date. She called the night before the scheduled cleaning to confirm the time. Thirty minutes after she was supposed to be here I called her cell and got her voice email and left a message asking if she was detained or there was a problem. Forty-five minutes later, when she had not called or arrived, I again left message on her cell that she did not neeed to com e and probably could give no excuse that ould be acceptable

Connie seemed a lovely woman, who was punctual and pleasant...she even left several messages the day of the estimate to update me regarding her health and a possible cancellation. We walked through the house and discussed what would be done. She arrived the day of the cleaning, and reportedly spent three hours at the house. The results were fair. And mildly DESTRUCTIVE--she broke a vase--yes, yes, of course accidents happen but she did not leave this broken item behind, nor did she tell us about it until the following day. She offered to replace and/or reimburse us but that wasn't the point...although the item was inexpensive, we should have been informed of this as soon as it happened. The house was not thoroughly cleaned. Although we'd used cleaning services when we lived up north, we've never had cleaners NOT dust the master bedroom. Nor were we informed that this is apparently Seamaids policy--she does NOT move items on dressers in bedrooms [especially around costume and inexpensive jewelry]. When I later asked her about this [we thought she had just forgotten to dust this room], she offered to come back and clean it. We did not take her up on this offer and made sure she understood that we expected this room to be dusted as part of her cleaning. We were still ready to use her next month. But then it became evident that she also did not mop any of the bathroom floors. Again, she had not explained that vacuuming and using a Swiffer was apparently how she cleaned these floors, and we had just logically assumed that these floors would be mopped. It took her three days, and three texts from me, before finally getting a response. And she became defensive, though she did offer to return to the house and fix anything we were unhappy with. Now she has the right to clean a house any way she wants to, but seems to us that she has the obligation [as she's walking through each room to provide an estimate] to inform that if she is not going to wash bathroom floors or dust any surfaces in bedrooms. We should not be figuring this out after the fact. Bottom line is SHE SHOULD BE INFORMING HER CUSTOMERS of what her customers would consider 'typical things' that she does not clean or do. But then again, she shared that most of her work is in rental properties. Given the weekly change in tenants, they probably cannot tell that bathroom floors have not actually been washed nor would there be many/any items to avoid on bedroom dressers. We will not be using her again. But we do now have a better list of specific questions to ask of the next service provider.
Description of Work: Update three days later...we hate to keep harping but it's now become evident to us that Connie really did not dust. Period. She did NOT dust the fireplace mantel. She did NOT dust the wood dining room chairs. She did NOT dust the small rack in the Master bedroom that holds only candles and photos. In fact, we cannot find much that was dusted. But in her defense, she says she DID dust the window sills. Angie's List asks if we're TIRED OF LOUSY SERVICE suggests that we EXPECT THE BEST. We were and thought we'd found the answer. We're pretty easy folk and would have been happy with basic clean. We did not get what we paid for. But we did get a crappy job. And we got a broken vase to boot. Save your money or keep looking... According to Connie herself, her husband may believe that she 'does/gives too much to her customers'. Good thing he's not paying her for these services! Connie was hired to clean a 3500 sq. foot, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath house. No special requests, just clean--which to us involves the obvious of either mopping or vacuuming the floors, dust every room and piece of furniture, and clean the kitchen and bathrooms. We specifically did not ask her to do dishes or laundry or change sheets. Seemed pretty basic to us...

Connie arrived on time on the scheduled date and brought one person with her to help. Both Connie and her helper were professional and a pleasure to work with. I was thoroughly pleased with the results of their work. Everyting was gleaming and the house smelled wonderful! I would highly reccomend Seamaids to anyone looking for an outstanding cleaning service.
Description of Work: We were moving into an existing home and wanted it cleaned from top to bottom. Connie came to the house to meet me and look around the house to see what needed to be done. After conferencing with me about my wants she gave me a very fair estimate. I told her that any place that could collect dust to clean it, I wanted all cabinets cleaned inside and out, and all toilets and bathtubs disenfected. Basically, I wanted a through cleaning of the whole house before we moved in our furniture.

Connie, the owner, came a week before the work was to be performed and gave me an estimate to clean the house from top to bottom. We scheduled for the following Wednesday. Since I have previous health problems, it was very important to remove the nicotene and tobacco from every surface of the home. Not only was Connie thorough, if she wasn't happy with how something turned out, she did it again. I do have to say that I was surprised to come over while she was here and see her using a toothbrush to clean the dishwasher - talk about thorough!!! A job that we originally thought would take one day, ended up taking 3 days, and a total of 12 hours - and she didn't want to waiver from her original quote.
Description of Work: I had the entire house cleaned from top to bottom so I could move in. This house belonged to my aunt who was a very heavy smoker. I had Seamaids come in after the painting, carpet cleaning, etc. was already completed. I can't stress enough how happy I am with the work that was done - no detail was missed, and the house was ready for me to move into a healthy environment.

Connie is just great. She is very personable and a hard worker (which appeals to me because I am also a hard worker!). She offers to do any inside and even outside work. Right now I have her come to my home every week for two and a half hours. In this time she gets the place spotless and I am always very appreciative. Connie is very open to communication so I feel very comfortable talking to her about what I want her to clean each week. She is super and I recommend her highly.
Description of Work: Connie will do any interior cleaning needed: laundry, cleaning floors, dusting, vacuuming, dishes, making beds, etc.
