He broke as many tiles as he put down and his wife cleaned the trowel and other items using grout down my sink

An unusual rain storm from the Northeast caused a sudden large leak in a second story window in our bedroom. Water was, literally and quot;sprayingand quot; into the room and down the wall. Although Mr. DeFonte was busy on another job, because of my distress he came over and sealed the leak perfectly! That kind of service is rare in this business but I've learned to expect it with this Professional Contractor. However, he was not finished! Although, from my point of view, the repair was complete in every way, Mr. DeFonte indicated that he wanted to return to and quot;cosmeticallyand quot; complete the job. I truly, could see no problem but, a few days later he returned with a longer ladder, climbed to the very top of the window (which was totally out of sight to me or any other layman) and re-applied the sealer to his satisfaction. That is the kind of perfection one does not often see in this day and age! This individual is simply outstanding! I cannot recommend him more highly!

When I first learned that we would have to put a ramp on the back of our house I was shocked! Who do I call? Who builds these? Fortunately, I had used an excellent full service licensed general contractor, named John DeFonte, a year or two ago and decide to to call him for advice. I was absolutely delighted to learn that, in addition to his superb skills inside our house he had, over the years, built a number of ramps! My amazement continued when he he arrived and began to describe the many details -- and quot;pitch of the slope and quot; -- and quot;gentle decline for safetyand quot; -- and quot;necessity of ramp exactly meeting the concrete drive to eliminate any bumpand quot; -- and numerous other items that, frankly, would never haver entered my mind. The details of each of these were specified and set out in the most amazing written Estimate document I have ever received -- and accepted. The lumber needed was ordered and the following week he and his crew began to build. After carefully removing and replanting a prized bush, the ramp rapidly took shape. I was extremely impressed with the skill and talent exhibited by everyone. I cannot remember a more professional operation from his estimate to the the excellent clean-up prior to there final departure. Now finished, the ramp matches the deck to which it is attached exactly as if they were all built at the same time! It is perfect in every way! It is obvious to me that John DeFonte takes great pride in his work. It shows in his estimate, his construction and his finished product. On a score of 1 to 5 where 5 is the highest I must give him a 14! J. David Nall
