It went great. My wife and I have been slowly assembling a list of reliable service providers to do maintenance and improvement on our new house. Volt Electric is now on our go-to list for electrical work. The project was not technically demanding but was labor and skill intensive. We had LED lights installed under book shelves and behind the molding in a recessed ceiling in our study and installed some new recessed lights. We also had them make some changes in which switches control which lights. Among other things, the project involved crawling around in an unfinished attic and took most of one day. Tim Voth estimated the project promptly and gave us a firm date to do the work. The two guys who did the work, Jim and Justin, clearly knew what they were doing and took pride in their work. They showed up on time and were very attentive to keeping things clean and undamaged.

Tim came out to assess what we wanted done. He was very professional and helped us to make some changes to what we thought was the best plan of action. When we made a few changes two days before the job no problem they just handled it. The work was done efficiently and courteously by the two gentlemen who work for Volt. Everything is exactly how we requested and the job site was cleaned before they left. We have had many electricians in different homes and this was by far the best experience to date. Thanks VOLT

Tim Voth is the owner. He came highly rated through Angie's List. I found him to be very responsive. He's extremely busy. Like small business people, things change at the last minute. I don't find fault with that. I know that sometimes things come up that are unavoidable. You have to prioritize. If you're trying to get a light fixture installed and somebody else has no power or a circuits fried, I think you have to evaluate those things and put the person in the worst shape ahead of somebody that can wait. The price was very fair. He's always been very fair with his charges.

Tim was personable, prompt, professional and efficient. We were very happy with his excellent work. We highly recommend his services.

Love them! They solved my problems. They were honest and helpful. They fixed the problem right away and I had time left so they asked me if there was anything else they can do, and they helped me changed my flourescent lights.

They did an amazing job, worked around some very complex variables in my ceiling, and were curteous and professional the entire time. Used them again on another job a few weeks later that required extensive engineering to integrate lights into an exterior wall in EXTREMELY tight working conditions, and they exceeded all expectations. Will use them for all of my lighting/electrical work.

We were very impressed. When I called I was told by the receptionist that she would call me right back to let me know when someone could come to help us. she called in about 5 minutes and said an electrician would be there in about an hour. The electrician called in about 50 minutes and said he was on his way and would be there in about 10 minutes. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He worked from about 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM. He had to remove all of the electrical outlets to find the problem. We were impressed with his attention to our problem and his ability to explain in simple terms what was going on.

Tim was amazing! He checked everything, answered everything, gave me great, practical advice about a number of issues, was professional, easy to understand, and took plenty of time with me.

Tim was early for my appointment. After doing the inspection of my electrical outlets and panel, there was 3 things that's past the home inspector prior to my purchasing the home that Tim said was incorrect and should not have past inspection. The other minor things he found wrong such as loose screws, a switch upside down, etc. he fixed as he went and did not charge me. The larger items he repaired-he did not sell me additional parts he could have. He used what was there but wired wrong. When wired correctly they worked as suppose to. So his initial quote was reasonable, but since I did not need new parts-he deducted that out of the quote and gave me the new lower total. He then subtracted 5% from that because I am an Angie's list user. He was quick but efficient and we were totally satisfied with his work. He also came out on Saturday due to my work schedule. We are glad we used this company.

Provider wanted me to go to his website instead of talking to me. His pricing schedule was confusing on the site. I eventually went to the site and made a tentative appointment, but found someone I was more comfortable with at a $20 Big Deal savings. I can't speak on the work he does--I have no reason to think it isn't great, but we just didn't hit it off at the beginning, and I accepted another Big Deal for the same thing at $20 less.

They were on time and apron arrival went right to work. 6 hrs later it was all done. Very pleased with everything.

No service provided but interactions were good.

When I purchased the Big Deal Coupon for the whole house inspection I immediately called. I got a call back shortly thereafter and was able to schedule a visit on the next business day. So this part of the process was excellent. The tech, Aaron, showed up at the appointment time or even a bit early. He took is work shoes off before entering the house which I appreciated. He described the process and asked if I had any questions. I had some concerns I wanted to have him review. Aaron did the following things: Removed the cover and inspected the main breaker and the adjacent emergency generator panels. He then removed an outlet cover and inspected the wiring job. He commented on the fact that it had been wired like a spec house meaning the wires had been pushed into the holes on the back of the receptacle vs hooking the wires around the screws on the sides. These "backwires" will weaken over time and potentially come loose if moved. Not really dangerous but shows a lack of quality in the wiring. Good to know and not something I was aware of. Aaron then removed a light switch wall plate and inspected the switch wiring. Same thing with the backwires on these. So this house is quirky because the builder of the house is the guy who had lived there. As such it has some light switch configurations that are hard to understand - there are 2 and 3 switch groups so you can control the same light from multiple wall switches. I asked Aaron about this and he explained a few things. He then went outside a checked some GFCI receptacles that weren't working. He helped me figure out how to repair those. We discussed some wiring that had been added after the house had been built and where it originated from. That was pretty much what happened that I could decipher. Aaron also indicated that he didn't see any wiring that had been dangerously installed and that was a nice relief. The work completed was well worth the $39. No doubt. He was there about an hour, maybe a bit more. Any kind of service call will cost $39 and likely more just to have someone show up. But the Big Deal advertisement was that this was a $300 value. I don't think an hour of inspection and diagnosis is worth $300. Perhaps my house was easier and that other houses take longer so on average it takes more hours. I don't know. But there wasn't $300 of effort put into my house and that's what I paid for because that was what was advertised. It would have been nice to have a big more diagnosis done so a more accurate cost estimate for the actual repairs could be calculated but what I got was a rough estimate of about $250-$500.That's a pretty big spread. Overall I gave this a "B". Aaron was professional, competent, and punctual. I just wish I felt I got a "Big Deal", instead I feel like I got a small discount. I'd use these folks again and might hire them to do some of the actual repairs.

It went extremely well. There were right on time and got to work right away. The work was done in no time. We also used this company when we sold our last house to resolve inspection issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

They replace a post lamp on sensor that had been hit by a car. They came when promised, fixed the problem and left in a short time. Polite, professional and within budget.

They were great, called one day they showed up the next day, very friendly, efficient, checked out a few things. Will definitely use again.

I used them from Angie's List. They were very prompt. They were very good. I called them and they responded within an hour. They set up the appointment for the next day. I thought I needed this work done and after I called them to make the appointment, I discovered that I really didn't need the work done. I spoke to the guy about the same. I wanted to grade them higher for the quick response to my request. I discovered the problem myself. I will definitely contact them again.

The only hitch was when they accidentally drilled through an interior wall. When it was discovered, they promptly came back the following day to patch the holes.|

Appointment was easy to schedule and they showed up on time. I would use this company again for future electrical work.
