The BigFoot crew worked diligently to excavate the existing asphalt....all the while, trying to accommodate drivers and delivery vehicles that required access to resident's homes. It was a difficult process on a narrow roadway (especially with dump trucks hauling off the old pavement), but they finished that work in a week and immediately placed down a thick layer of crushed stone, which made the road driveable. The next week they began the actual paving process, using customized equipment that allowed for variable depth of pavement for areas that were deemed potentially unstable, followed by a steam roller which again heated the product and vigorously vibrated the road surface to compact the asphalt. It was a job very well done. As part of the contract, BigFoot agreed to give us a two year warranty on their work.....and two years thereafter, there were a few areas of roadway that had cracked and required re-paving. BigFoot arrived with a full crew and a truck full of hot asphalt. They first cut out the areas that required work, excavated same, refilled the area with fresh asphalt and steam rolled each section. The work was performed as promised.
Description of Work: Initially, Big Foot Paving contracted to re-pave the approximately 1 mile of private roadway. BigFoot decided it was necessary to not only repave the road.....but to dig up the existing asphalt pavement, remove that material from the roadway and truck it away and put down a 3" to 6" thick layer of A-B-C stone.....which was covered by a COMPACTED 2 1/2" of rolled, heated asphalt, all of which was done while the road was still being used.

The driveway was installed 11/07 but then needed to be resurfaced again shortly after installation. The curbing also had to be repaired as it started to collapse. So far so good. In May 2010 I started emailing Big Foot that my curb was failing again in a major way. They said they would look into it. Never did. Since May 2010 I sent 6 emails about my curbing and the fact that parts of driveway itself was failing. It was collapsing over the edge. Their response was that they would look into it. They never did nor did I ever get any other response. I even offered to pay for repairs. Nothing ever happened. I paid another company to make the needed repairs.
Description of Work: Installed a asphalt driveway and curbing.
