The entire project was professionally managed by their staff from the on site estimate, cleaning preparation, painting and follow up and completion of needs that were addressed. I would absolutely recommend their services to others and will be using them in the future.

Ted, the owner (?) of Asheville Painting was very polite, but explained during his inspection visit that he was not able to paint our house, which is a 1923 wood-sided home. He said that his liability insurance prohibited him from working on any project that involved lead-based paint. This would include scraping and sanding the old paint, even if the current layer is latex. To make certain, he tested a bare spot on one wall for lead and got a "positive" reading, which means lead is present. Therefore, any home built prior to 1978 (the year that lead was banned from paint) is very likely to be off limits in regards to repainting by this company.

In order to prepare for our project, Asheville Painting Co. sent a Sherwin-Williams representative in order to help us select the proper colors. After our meeting, the representative presented a color chart including color codes/descriptions which was very helpful. Asheville Painting Co. crew was very professional and completed our project in a timely manner.

Sales folks offered a competitive price and were easy to work with. Workers started and finished job in a timely manner, did a very nice job under some difficult conditions (3-levels, high ladder work, sloping yard).

We are extremely pleased with how our home turned out. It was a large exterior painting project so we were a little nervous in trying to line up a painting contractor. Our initial meeting was great -- on time and we learned a lot about the process, materials to be used, etc. Our crew kept us informed each day about what they planned to get done and how long was left on the project. I had lots of questions and our painters always took the time to answer them -- professional and friendly.

Great. They're professional, reasonably priced (NOT CHEAP. Just not crazy expensive). They negotiate in good faith and do a bang up job, clean the worksite every day, fix what you ask them to fix, and don't act like crazy people while they're in your house.

Asheville Painting Company is among the most professional and competent providers in any category that I have had the pleasure to work with in the 4 years we have been living here. This includes their office staff as well as their painting professionals. They really want to please the customer. Once they started on our house they stuck to it like a bunch of killer bees showing up each day until the job was done. The painting crew paid meticulous attention to detail. Good communication is essential for me. The crew leader was always happy to answer questions and made a point of keeping us informed of what their “game plan” was for the day. On top of all of the above, they had the most competitive bid.

The painter arrived when scheduled and prepped my house on the first day (caulked, sanded, power washed). The next four days were spent painting the exterior and trim. The painter was punctual and professional. The painter's attention to detail was commendable. There was a mix-up with the paint purchased, but when I alerted the company to the problem, they purchased the correct paint before beginning the job. The painter instructed us to leave windows accessible and painted the windows; however, he never mentioned leaving the doors unlocked, and he did not paint the doors until we called and asked for a follow up. The mix-up with the paint purchased and with the doors not being painted stemmed from miscommunication between the person who quoted the job and the painter who did the work.

AP had to paint this house in late January so the job had to be scheduled to accommodate according to the weather. They did this with the precision of a swiss watch, I was very impressed with their work in this regard.

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had!!! I have no idea how this company has so many positive reviews. Our experience was negative from the beginning to end. We reached out to Asheville Painting Company in August to provide us a quote on re-staining our log cabin. We called several times only to receive voice mails. Finally we were able to reach someone. We were met with an abrupt, "You need to know that we're very busy and already booking until October." I said that it was fine and we asked for Ted to come out and give us a quote. On the day of the quote, the owner got lost in our subdivision. He called several times trying to get directions. In the end, he was over an hour late. Even though in today's age of google maps bringing you right to the door step, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He walked around our house, gave some suggestions and then said that he would have me a quote the next day. As you might guess, it was not the next day when I received a quote, but a week later after I called several times. At this point, I should have known better, but we went ahead and signed the contract and e-mailed it back. I asked in the e-mail for acknowledgement of receipt of the contract. I did not receive any reply. A few weeks later I called to ask if they had received my contract. The office manager Tonia replied that they had and she said they would be out on October 14th. I said that would be fine and I wrote it on my calendar. Fast-forward a few weeks. I hadn't heard anything, so I called several times before I got an answer and I confirmed once again with Tonya that they were coming to paint our house on October 14th. She confirmed verbally for a second time that that was the date. I week before our scheduled October 14th painting date, I very politely reached out to make sure that Ted was able to match our color and that we were still on for the 14th. They didn't return my call, but instead since a rude e-mail saying that there was no way to match a color specifically and that as long as I was okay with that, they had a crew coming on Saturday, October 14th. Before I had a chance to reply, I got another e-mail from their office manager saying that they don't paint houses on Saturdays. What??? I had confirmed that date twice verbally and then once in a written e-mail. I called to ask what was going on and Tonia lied to me and said that she would have never set it up for that date. So, I guess she thinks I just randomly picked a date and put it on my calendar? What incompetence! I called the owner's cell phone and left a message for him to call me back, but as you might imagine, he never returned my call. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They are dishonest and incompetent--in my view, that is a lethal combination.

We were quoted 2 weeks for completion. The crew showed up on time every day. They tackled the job efficiently and systematically. Each day they prepped, painted and cleaned up the area. I appreciated their use of time and manpower at each stage. I appreciated the fact that they could do everything needed. There was no need for additional contractors. The work was done in 10 days. Ahead of schedule and perfectly done.

I would highly recommend Asheville Painting Co. They were extremely professional and did an amazing job. The men that worked on my house had great attention to detail and kept me informed throughout the process. They are very fairly priced and the quality of work is exceptional.

Awesome. This was a quite of a big project on a large rental of mine. They were prompt, courteous and very respectful. I was out there several times by myself and never once felt uncomfortable. Very hard working crew. My project was very high off the ground and difficult. The guys were cautious but steady on the high parts. Never was I ever dis-satisfied, nor ever did I ever question my decision about hiring Asheville Painting Co. They were not the cheapest but were the best in my opinion.

Overall quality was good. Estimator was prompt, knowledgeable and responsive. That said, workers were very slow (averaging 4 hours of productive time per day) and did not communicate schedule changes well. If you are not in a hurry, these guys are okay but be prepared to be patient. Price was reasonable and overall, we are satisfied with the end result.

The estimate was done quickly and efficiently. The painted was started and completed on time. Very reliable and easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone needing a large or small paint job. we continue to be very happy with the painting that was completed.

We used Asheville Painting when we moved into our home to paint the entire house and were very pleased with their work. They are very professional and punctual. We decided we were unhappy with the color we chose for the master bedroom initially so a year later we had them come back and change it. They did a great job and finished the job in a few hours. When I called to say one thing wasn't to my satisfaction the painter came back within half an hour to happily fix it.

After getting 2 bids, I chose Asheville painting company. About a week later, a good man came and prepped the deck, a couple days later a different good man came and did the staining in one day. He came back the next day, asked me how it looked and I pointed out a few minor, picky areas that that he re-did to my satisfaction. Entirely nice experience for me.
