They seemed to be very professional but their quote was $3,000 more than the company that I actually chose to do the job. I would get a quote from them again if I needed something.

Outstanding job. On time. Cleaned up. Couldn't have asked for more.

We have a large deck plus our front porch, both which were in need of a refinishing. A crew of two came on the appointed date, and did the prep work, including a sanding of all surfaces and a power wash. They painted the front porch, and came back the next day to do the deck. By this time the front porch was dry enough to walk on, so we always had egress from the house. It took most of the day to paint all the railings and surface deck, but they used an industrial enamel so it would last a long time. They sprayed the railings always using drop clothes to prevent overspray. Then the deck floor was hand painted. The cost came in as estimated. The crew was friendly, always asking if we wanted this or that included in the painting, and went about their business in a professional manner. I would highly recommend Asheville Painting Co. (not to be confused with Asheville Painting Paint and Decorating).

Scraping and sanding was done from ladders. Some paint remained on individual shingles, others did not have to be scraped at all. Sanding to the bare wood, would have altered the texture of the surface. After applying two coats of paint the residual paint on partially scraped shingles was still showing through giving the entire facade a "wrinkled alligator skin" appearance. The window trim and shutters look fresh. I have to assume that with partial scraping and sanding without feathering, the sharp contrast between bare wood and residual paint resulted in the gator-skin-look. The facade looks fresh but not great.

He spent some time looking at the deck and front porch. It is a large deck. The work that was required seemed to be appropriate. So far we are okay with them.

The overall experience with Asheville Painting Co. went well but we ended up not using their services because of the price. I felt their price was just too high for me.

They were very nice. They were very punctual in getting the estimate. We just weren't able to afford the work at the time, with two kids in college. They were very professional, and their estimate was too.

Overall, the experience was good at the time. They gave us a good price, did the work on time, and cleaned up well after themselves. It was only after deck boards started to pull up 5 years later that we discovered they had not used galvanized nails or screws. The boards were pulling up because the nails had rusted away.

Owner, Ted Irwin presented us with a professional contract and was very willing to discuss any changes we needed or wanted. He also came the distance to Hendersonville each day to set the men up and see that the job was being addressed properly. His workers were always on time, polite, and hardworking individuals who cleaned up everything, everyday,, so the job site was never an eyesore. They even managed to work in covered areas on inclement days. Our decks were a particularly difficult part of the project, and the guys never gave up or got dicouraged. We would highly recommend this company to everyone thinking of having their house painted.

Asheville Painting came when they said they would, did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves! I have a large house, so they were here for a few weeks, but were always pleasant and considerate. Repainted areas where I changed my mind about paint color. First painter I would ever recommend to anyone else.

I had a good experience with them, and the job was remarkable. They used quality paints and did such a good job that it has held up for two years. The work had been done a year before and it was peeling, because this is a weathered area. Asheville Painting recommended this thick, good paint, and did an excellent job of it. We had several people come out and give us quotes. We liked the guy from Asheville Painting and just picked them. They were good with the estimate and I felt that their prices were good. When the time comes and we need our house painted, I will definitely call them.

Estimate first- thoroughly discussed the entire process. Prep next-went fine Final finish-also went fine They have a 3 year guarantee so I am confident if any problems arise, they will take care of them.
