Jim Frazier is great, recommended without reservation. Did a number of complicated electrical jobs, including wiring for 220/110v outdoor equipment, indoor lighting addition, and revision of outdoor electrical circuitry including cable burial. Even came out Christmas Day to save our well pump from freezing! On time, friendly, and will source parts to get the job done. Thanks, Jim.

He is honest, skilled, knowledgeable, and only charges you for the time he is working. On top of that he is a very nice man. I have been using him for probably ten years now.

The repair man was very professional but friendly as well. Was not pushy at all -- when he discovered a simple repair to the garbage disposal, he did not push to replace it with the new one I had already purchased. He told me to return it to the store. Saved me $90! The toilet problem could have be ignored but he told me why it needed to be replaced even though he acknowledged it might not break for a few months. I appreciated his honesty and had it replaced.

Very thorough and friendly

It went very, very well. Just by my description over the phone, Jim knew right away what the issue was. I was skeptical at first to think that an eletrician could just know what the problem was without having been to the house to check it out yet, but he was absolutely right. When he came for the appointment, he went straight to it. He was right on time, professional and friendly, and not very expensive considering all the little things I asked him to do at the same time while he was at the house, in addition to the one big thing I originally called him for. I definitely got my money's worth! And I know I won't have ever to lay awake at night worrying about whether the repairs are done right. That's worth a lot.

Jim responded to my initial call almost straight away and scheduled an appointment for the following weekend. He had a good idea of the problem before hand, just by me describing the symptoms. Accordingly, he was able to give me a good idea of what the cost was likely to be. His rates were very reasonable. Jim was punctual and extremely pleasant to do business with. He explained his work thoroughly and got the job done in great time. He recommended some preventative work, but only when prompted. He definitely wanted me to get the most for my money. I am extremely happy that I chose Jim to do my electrical repairs, I would absolutely use his services again. I strongly recommend him, whether your needs are residential, commercial, small or large.

I was impressed by how quickly Jim called me back and scheduled a meeting. He showed up when promised, even calling me before arriving. I asked him to bring the materials and do the work, sans estimate. He was happy to do so, and I was happy to save the time of not getting an estimate first, then getting the work done later. Jim provided me with recommendations for the future safety of our house - grounding appliances and so forth, and I will be calling him again in six months to do a full walk-through of our house. He is EXCELLENT at providing customer service, and absolutely knows what he is doing. Call him with confidence.

Jim was quick, confident and knowledgeable. He took a look at a few other concerns I had regarding outlets while he was here. He was friendly with my son and dog as well and even left my son a gift. I strongly recommend Jim as an electrician.

I called Jim Frazier at A1 to upgrade the electrical in one of my rental houses. (The rental is a great old farmhouse with older wiring, and I had just rented the house to an exceptional tenant who was concerned about the wiring, and about his home office equipment.) I knew of 2 circuits that needed the GFI fixed, plus I explained the "sensitive electronics" situation to Mr Frazier during our consultation. He really took the time to educate me about circuits, how they work, and what the options were for protecting the computers and servers. He explained that there were different levels of protection for things like power surges, and lightning strikes, and how running space heaters can stress a circuit to the point where the contact anneal and slowly stop working over time. (Very interesting stuff that no one had ever explained to me before.) Mr Frazier said he *could* install a $1500 surge protection system for the house, but that for us, really, the best way to go was to call Progress Energy and sign up for their Whole House Surge Protection Service plus to use localized high-quality surge protectors. He basically talked himself out of a very expensive project because he put our interests before his own. I was amazed. I mean, seriously, who does that these days? Seriously?? He knows his stuff, shows up on time, calls in advance, does great work and looks out for me and my property. Will I use him again? Oh, H*ll Yeah.

It did not go well. @ motion lights were to be installed and working before the service person (Robbie) left. Only one light was working when he left. He said the other would come on at "dusk". I was charged $80 an hour (2 hours time) plus a $45 service charge for two working lights. I have called the service three times and promised return visits but that has not happened.
