I have learned that Markus is completely self-absorbed and believes he is above both human decency and the law. The only reason he treated me well at all is because he wanted to use my status as a retired senior military officer to advertise and support his business. Your choice to hire him or not, but take it from someone who knows him very, very well... you and your project mean no more to him than the man in the moon... unless he thinks you can bolster his false image as a man of integrity.

They never returned my phone calls. I could have been using this time to find someone new.

That was a disaster. I am in the military and right before I was deployed, I had a foot rail fence which was getting worn out and I had them come out and give me an estimate. the estimate was a little steep but they were timely in giving the estimate. Then the repair job they did didn't work and he wanted to charge extra for cleanup as it was not in the estimate.We then renegotiated and he never showed up or came back. I called someone in to do the job so that I could have it done properly and quickly. My property is about an acre and he was pulling out the foot rails and dumping them there although garbage collection in our area is free, he would not take them to the street.He did the job about 4 months ago but because of the way he did the job, I have not paid him. I will not recommend him or use him again.

The replacement of top boards look good. Did not paint all that was replaced. One section was left. It could have been an oversight. The top deck was only painted were a stand up and push brush would reach. He did not use a hand brush to finish the edges. He did not paint between the cracks{ you don't walk on crack was his reply} It looks bad. I have had my nephew{11} start to finish it. He was here a total of about 61/2-7 hours. He did not furnish the materials or paint. He did use his own nails to replace 4 bad boards. $625.00 seems high. He was due to arrive on April 21. He called at 11am to tell me he had to take his dog to. the vet. The next day he arrived at 11am to tell me he has too much work to do and that he would return the next day. On the 23 he arrived at 8am . I had an appointment he said that was OK that he would be there . I called my mother about 2:30. She said he had been gone for a while. On the 24 he arrived 8am and left at 9 am. Betty McGowan

He was prompt and courteous and was able to tell me what was wrong with my garage door and even helped me get it up so that i could get my car out. His estimates are free.

Markus and his assistant arrived on time and immediately got to work. I could see that the installation of the shed door was more complicated than had been anticipated, but they put their expertise and ingenuity to work and got the job done. Markus is very exacting and stayed with the job until the door fit and performed the way that he wanted it to. They also replaced the ramp to make it safer to drive the riding mower into and out of the shed. The door to the crawlspace was fashioned, fitted, and a hasp for a lock installed. Markus enjoys his work and I believe that his cheerful attitude definitely enhances the experience of his clients.

hubby for hire and his crew, he call and said what time he would be there and he was on time.they where very respectful.nice people,he would explained every step of the work to me .work was finish on time.he would call a week later to make sure things were right. he did respond when i had to call him to realine the gate that was very nice . i would certainly hired him again , and to recommend him

Markus did not show up for our sceduled appointment nor did he call to cancel.

I called and left a message for the owner and he called me back promptly. I told him I needed a window repaired and the gate on my fence and some general carpentry work. He said that he could do that and I gave him my name and address. We set a date and time at the end of the week, (two days away) for him to come to my home. I took the day off of work and waited. He never showed up and never called. I called him but he never answered nor did he return my phone calls.

Markus contacts client, sets appointment, gives estimate, approval accepted, completed work order with pictures for my records.

Marcus was unreliable, unprofessional and rude. Unreliable - After making an appointment he did not show up, twice! Saturday, after evaluating the repairs needed, he said he would repair my garage door Friday at 10 AM. I have to take time off from work so I confirmed with him on Wednesday he was still on for Friday. He confirmed via email he certainly was. Friday 10 AM there is no Marcus. I called him and he said he had emailed me that the parts were not in and could we postpone until Monday at 10 AM. I checked my email and he had emailed the postponement at 7:50 Friday! I am at work by 8 AM so no way to get the message. I explained to Marcus to please communicate by phone not by email and agreed to Monday. Unprofessional - Again I took time off from work and again at 10 AM no Marcus. I called him and he would not answer the phone. I called a second time with same results. I left a message cancelling our verbal contract for repair, expressed my dissapointment in his performance and called a different company. Rude - I have yet to hear from Marcus to either explain why or apologize for his no show or lack of response. Lost 2 half days of work and still no repair. I hope my next Angie's list experience is better.

He is very professional and punctual. He gives me before and after pictures. He contacts tenants and then he follows up with everyone to make sure they are satisfied with the work. He is very eager to do the work and do it right. He has been very good. He responds quickly. I will continue to use him.

He came by at the appointed time to provide estimate. He sent estimate via email. Work was agreed on. He showed up to perform work. It started to rain quite hard,so it was agreed that he would return to to finish work. He came back the next day and completed all repairs per estimate.

I have had to call on many contractors since I have lived in my newly purchased home, and I have to say, Markus is above and beyond the most RELIABLE, honest, and hard working that I have come across. His prices are reasonable, and he is extremely concerned with your satisfaction of a job well done. He is always easy to get a hold of by phone or email, and can always be counted on to do repairs in a timely manner. I have been very satisfied with all of his work.
