 + -1 moreWe loved his style and he actually worked with us from the very beginning even in designing the house. We wanted a comfortable and affordable 2nd home. What he completed is amazing, Mike is a master at his craft and is sure that everyone does their work accordingly. When we started construction we were concerned because we still reside and work in Florida, so not being close to the building site we thought might be a problem, but again Mike and his crew are great and we soon came to realize what a great builder we had. Any questions he had he called or would even send a text to be sure we kept things on track. He would have our to do list ready when we came to town, we would pick out what was needed and he would build on. Mike has a way of improving on everything he does so everything was built with added flare, giving our house a look and feel beyond anything we were expecting and within our budget. I have worked with several builders over the years, with additions and 2 homes we built from the ground up. Mike Banks Construction is the best and the easiest builder we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We would recommend him to anyone in this area.
Description of Work: Built us a most wonderful 2nd home! We have had a beautiful piece of property in Yancey County, NC for years and as we near retirement wanted to finally build a house on the land. We chose Mike because of his easy going nature but unbelievable attention to detail.

 + -1 moreHe's a remarkably honest, great guy. He's probably about the best quality guy I've ever run across.
Description of Work: He's done four major projects for me, three structures and one addition. I had a major renovation done, an addition that was completed last year. He built my first home in 1996 and another home in 2004. In 2006-07 he built my wife's quilt shop. He remodeled my 2004 home, including a kitchen remodel, porch work, and a garage addition.
