Sat TV World

I tried getting Dish about a year ago, but the installer they sent out said it would be impossible to receive Dish due to trees blocking several of their satellites. I read online that they had added a new satellite for the eastern part of the country, and had shuffled around some of the channel assignments. This time, instead of calling Dish directly, I decided to call a local Sat TV contractor. The gentleman that took my call at Satellite TV World was great. He explained how I could get everything installed for free (with a Dish contract, of course), and explained how that sometimes less experienced Dish installers would try to set the system up to use what is called the "Western arc", or a group of satellites that are over the west coast of the US. He explained that Dish also had an "Eastern arc" and that for people on the east coast, that those satellites were much higher in the sky and we would likely have no problem using them. This phone call was on a Thursday and he set up the installation for two days later on Saturday at 8am. Lo and behold, the installer, John, was in my driveway promptly at 8. He quickly determined that we should be able to receive the Eastern arc sats and found a suitable location for the dish. He installed it on the side of the house, ran the cabling to the inside, to both TVs, set up the Hopper and Joey, made sure everything was working and was finished by 10! I can't say enough good things about this company and this installer. They were courteous and professional. The installation was neat and as well-hidden as it could be, and I've been enjoying a WAY better picture than Time-Warner cable for several weeks now. (All for no money out of pocket, and about half of what cable was charging me for the equivalent service.)
