I am a regular customer of Alford Mechanical and work went very well.

We are selling our house and they did a move out clean for us. 2 people took about 3 hours to do the job.

This company is very professional. The provide excellent service, arrive as scheduled and take time to explain the work and repairs

While I was overwhelmed at having to have this replaced they made sure I was comfortable with why. When they came out to do the work they did an amazing job and even worked with my schedule. All the workers are professional. They even cleaned up after the job!

It's top quality work and it's consistent. A tuneup is done within an hour. The servicemen couldn't be any friendlier or professional.

I can't remember the exact date of service and am not positive the cost was $85. It may have been $75. But our thermostat would not come one, which meant our heat wasn't working. The service man figured out that it was a fuse in a unit under the house causing the problem and quickly fixed it. He very politely and thoroughly answered my questions, including telling me how to perform the repair myself if need arose in the future. I was so happy with the service that I plan to use Alford for any future heating and cooling needs.

Have a leak in the condenser

They are clean and professional, fast and friendly. On time and answered questions. Replaced air filter. Offered to put on booties before coming in the house - how nice! The receptionist was also nice when we made the appointment.

I called AM and within the hour a technicial called and said he would be to my home by noon. He arrived and got my heat on with one hour. Very pleased very professional.

My upstairs furnace went out on Christmas Eve. Alford got the part within a few days and fixed it. I have used Alford for years and think they are the best in the area, as well as being courteous to do business with. In fact, I rarely call around for estimates when I need a new unit because I don't want service from anyone else. Indeed, the company's rates are competitive.

We have had really good service from them. The quality of their work was high and their pricing was reasonable. They had great employees.

GAVE US A GREAT PRICE ON A HEAT PUMP

The Technician provide annual inspection of heating and air systems (2 gas packs). One system needs additional repair which has been scheduled for later this week.

It went very well. The tech was very knowledgeable and friendly. Explained what he was doing and why. I'm the type that if I'm having work done I want to watch and gain all the knowledge I can. Knowing I would never try anything on my uI still observed and asked questions and got answers with no hesitation. Would definitely recommend.

When the technician who sealed the register ducts inside my house started on the first one, I noticed he was using a large amount of sealant where the register is supposed to fit back inside once dried. I immediatly expressed a concern that the registers may not fit back in the ducts once dry (since the sealant needed several hours to dry; I was going to be the one left to re-install the registers). The technician assured me that once it was dry it will be fine.The two technicians that showed up were done in only 75 minutes and gone. And sure enough, I waited several hours for the sealant to dry and noe of the registers fit back in the ducts because the technician used too much sealant like I talked to him about. I called the supervisor (Mike Sawyer) who did the estimate and explained the situation. Mike immeddiatly lost his temper with me and started yelling and cursing at me saying that he didn't like working on older homes and that he won't make any profit if he sends a man back out to fix the mess they made. He said he would call me back to schedule a time to do the work but it's been over a week and the work has not been done. I was nothing but nice to them and I really dont appreciate the unprofessional way I was treated.

Everything went well, no hangups.

The owner of the company, Mr. Alford came the day of the estimate. He was on time and very professional. At a later date I went to his office in Bunn, NC to visit him and speak to the head of his install team. They are some of the nicest people in the business. I had my kids with me and he treated them like they were his own. I feel that this company is a gem in a minefield of other companies in the business that are not easy to deal with. Mr. Alford cares about his business, his employees and the quality of the job and the satisfaction of the customer. He understands the technical side of the HVAC business but he also is very personal and does not mind answering questions and going the extra mile. I am hoping to put a system in my home soon and ALFORD MECHANICAL is one of two contractors I have come down to on doing the job. I recently recommended ALFORD MECHANICAL to a close friend at work and they did his service work and my friend was also very pleased.

Alford Mechanical installed a new HVAC system into our house in 2008. This summer I noticed the air conditioner was not working properly, I called Alford to check out the system and they found a leak in the air handling unit's coil. They gave me a quote of $600. I was not happy about having to pay another $600 on a system that cost over $5,000 just 4 years earlier. I explained my concerns to Alford, they were professional and couteous, they suggested I could get quotes from other HVAC contractors in the area. I called 3 other HVAC contractors and their prices were all higher. I called Alford back and set up the appointment to have the repair done.

When our AC went out on a Friday morning, I despaired of finding anyone who could come out and even look at it. I called Alford's and was told that a technician would be out between three and five o'clock. I just knew we were going to be without AC the whole weekend. The technician said the motor was burned out, but he didn't have one on the truck. He called the shop and the technician there couldn't find one either. All the ones they had were not side mounted like ours was. So the technician got in his truck, drove back to his shop, and hunted until he found one, came back, and installed it. We also had the unit cleaned. The technician originally told my husband the price would be around $500, but it was much less then that. We were thrilled to say the least. We would definitely call Alford's again!!!

They are really good. They actually installed a complete new heating and air conditioning system as well as all new duct work for me two years ago. I'm on a contract with them and they come twice a year. They did a really good job with the installation. It was very professionally and very well done. It has greatly reduced my heating and cooling bills. They are competent, they are professional and they will give good advice. I remember when I was getting bids from various companies they were the most thorough company. I had a difficult situation getting underneath my house, it was easy. Their price was actually in the midline of the bids I got but I think I got the best service for the money. They may not be the cheapest but it's also not just about the cheapest but it's about quality. Whenever I called them about anything, they were extremely responsive. They show up on time and in fact I was the one who was not there when they were going to show up. If I had any heating or air conditioning stuff I needed to do, I will call them.
