The procedure went very well. Even though the weather was hot and humid, the crew finished on the date which was promised.

OMG They did a great job. Everything that I wanted and was so easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about a project like this. The porch is now where I will be spending most of my time.

I initially posted a review based on my impression that the Deck Specialists had not responded to my calls or email. However, after I posted that they immediately called me, and we figured out that I had sent my email to the WRONG address. In addition, they had called me three times and folks in my household never gave me the message! So, while they've not done any work for me yet, I give them an "A+" for follow-up, professionalism, and gracious attitude! I hope all works out for them to fix my deck.

We called Marlon out to provide a quote for certain structural issues with our deck (sagging stairs, missing columns, etc.). He was able to provide a fair quote for the work and also gave suggestions to improve the overall look and feel of our deck. We ended up replacing all of the floor boards and railings, which had become well worn over the years and were becoming an eye sore. Marlon, Jeff, and the team completed all of the work within the time frame they provided and at the price quoted. The end product was above our expectations and their craftsmanship and attention to detail were impressive. Even after reviewing the "After" pictures of the deck, Marlon let us know that Jeff wanted to come back on Saturday morning to add more screws to a few places he thought might need them, and to finish sanding so it was done how he liked. Throughout the process they provided regular updates about their progress and identified other potential issues that should be addressed in the future (i.e. damaged columns). We would not hesitate to recommended this company to our friends and family. Great work!

Marlon was great to work with. We contacted him to get a quote on remodeling our existing wood deck and adding an addition on as well. He was one of several contractors we called to get a quote, but was one of the few to actually get back to us. We had a quote back within a couple of days from him. During the process of getting bids for this job though we had to make some modifications to our budget. When we shared this with Marlon he was very understanding & even came back out to see what he could do within our budget. Within a week of signing a contract & putting down a deposit, he and his crew (who were all very friendly & professional) were here starting on our deck. Throughout the whole process-from beginning to end-Marlon was great about returning calls/text messages promptly. And the new deck looks amazing!!! We couldn't be happier. We got exactly what we wanted. Their work is top notch!!

The team worked for 3 weeks, and I was impressed every day with the attention to detail and overall master craftsmanship! Every step of the process was professional, efficient and painless! Marlon is a serious carpenter, designer and service provider.

Marlon and crew were very nice people- and very accommodating and did exactly what we discussed- great communication.

Went well. I had an issue with the aluminum spindles falling out and Marlon came right out and fixed them. I love the deck.

I contacted Marlon in regards to quoting for construction of a new deck and screen room. He was very responsive and had the quote back to me within the designated time. We were quoting several providers and Deck Specialist was competitively priced using similar materials. Although we decided to use another provider, (difference in construction materials and warranty) I wouldn't hesitate to contact them for quoting and possibly constructing future projects.

Excellent job and pleasant experience. They arrived as scheduled and completed the work a day early. Site was cleaned up and all construction debris was removed. We are so pleased with the work that we are already discussing two additional projects. Use these folks when their type of work is required. Everything you read here about them is true and even more! I felt like we were dealing with an old friend or close family member. Even with the cold weather snap, they were here today finishing the work when the temperature was in the teens.

From our first meeting I felt confident we would be getting a great job and we are so pleased with our project. They were very professional and did a great job. The work was done in a timely and professional manner . I highly recommend them!

The guys took great care in keeping the white paint off the brown stain and vice versa. After a mid-job rain delay, they finished promptly. As always, they were courteous and kept the area clean.

The job was well done and completed on time. Professional expertise and quality result. Can't ask for anything more. I was unable to be there for the completion of the guttering so Marlon came by in my absence to ensure the project was completed properly. He messaged pics to me so that I was kept updated. Happy with the result. No leaks in the recent rain. This system really adds lots of space to the useable outside area by keeping the underside of the deck dry. Great experience all round.

The work was top notch. They did what they said they would do and showed up when they said they would. During the project the work area around my home was kept very neat and the workers were very professional and friendly. I had wanted a small area of patio block added to the side of my home for trash cans and that looks great. I also wanted a ceiling fan installed in my home ( not part of the job), but they installed it with an additional, very small and reasonable fee. I picked out the stone on line for the patio and they ordered and delivered them. The owner, Marlon, will do what it takes to make you happy. He says that he wants you to be a customer for life and he really means it. The owner was very responsive to any concern or change. He was always easily reached by phone call, text or email. We wanted the porch door changed to a different style after it was installed and that was not a problem. The porch is beautiful. The ceiling is tongue and groove and the wood was stained with colors that we chose. The patio looks great. The stones were installed up to and around the new porch steps and the stone was cut to fit nicely. I didn't think people did work of this quality anymore. I wish that I could post pictures of the job. I would not hesitate to recommend Deck Specialist for any job. I know that I have increased the value of my home with this quality addition of outdoor living space.

He met with us beforehand to discuss the design and he made some excellent suggestions as to the type of wood and design that would look best. He called a few days before the start date and he and his crew showed up, on time, to start the project. They left each day cleaning up behind him. They finished the project right on time and on budget. After the porch was completed, we called Marlon back to change one small feature which he gladly did without charge. The front of our house looks 100% better with this new front porch. I only wish we had met Marlon and done it sooner! We would highly recommend him.

Marlon and team did a good job, the workers were very professional, they cleaned up after themselves and I was impressed with their commitment to make the deck as safe as possible.

Marlon is the owner of the company. He responded quickly to the quote request and gave me an outline quote at our initial meeting. He also displayed photos of his previous work that helped formulate what I wanted my project to look like. Marlon oversaw the project as the project manager, taking care of all the detail and was responsive to my variations to the plan as the project proceeded. The team from Deck Specialist arrived on time and ready to go. Led by Geoff, these guys are meticulous and proud of their excellent work - and so they should be. The timber Marlon delivered; beautiful, knot free, premium. Deck was screwed down and the work site cleaned every day. Concrete patio and paths were poured under Marlon's organisation and the electrical work was also first class. We could not be happier with the result. An excellent contractor who delivered a great project at a competitive price. You will not regret using Marlon and the Deck Specialists for your next decking, concreting and electrical work.

Contacted Deck on Wednesday and returned my email on Friday; scheduled work to start around August 9th. Marlon and crew arrived promptly that day and worked daily until project finished. The team was professional and courteous and cleaned up area each day. Once deck built he even stained bottom of deck posts and didn't have to! Also, I have an electric power box on deck and it had started to lean pretty badly and he even fixed that for me, what a great surprise! Overall time was about 7 days and job was completed on time! I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family!

I am still waiting a week later???

I called Marlon to come out to give us an estimate. He came at the time we had setup and we explained to him what we needed done and also the we would like to update our deck. It wasn't very large so we wanted to expand. Marlon talked with us and gave excellent suggestions. We decided to used black spindles instead of wood. Marlon suggested we put lattice around the bottom of the deck. His guys came did the work in just a few days. Each day I watched them work the deck looked better and better. Marlon called several times and came to see how the work was going. Oh, we also increased the length of the steps. We were really excited at Marlon's suggestions and were absolutely thrilled with the out come. Our deck was beautiful!! Needless to say we got lots of complements from neighbors and friends passing by. Our yard has a wood fenced and our new deck makes it look pitiful. We are considering taking it down this summer. I cannot express how happy we were with the deck! The crew doing the job kept everything picked up such nail, etc. We will definitely be using Deck Specialist for future projects. As matter of fact I will be calling Marlon to update the entrance to our front door. On a personal note to Marlon I would like to apologize for not getting pictures up for everyone to see the great job done on our deck. I was unable to get them up, but am e-mailing the to Angie's list to see if they can get them posted. Thanks to Marlon and his crew Deck Specialist.

We contacted Deck Specialist to give us an estimate on repairing a very damaged back deck, and possibly expanding it and making it a screened in back porch. Marlon was very professional and gave us the estimate the same day! After researching and contacting other decking contractors we landed on Deck Specialist. A two man team began the demo job (Jeff - Marlons brother and Brandon) . Both men were very professional - and it was HOT outside and mt house has no shade! They kept the work area very clean, and were always respectful when I came to ask them anything. I work from home and they did not upset my work days at all. We increased the deck from 10 feet to 20 feet. They placed the flooring boards on an angel which looks beautiful. The boards were screwed down and were checked for quality. The roof was done in the same workmanship. The boards are exposed and placed perfectly making the ceiling beautiful. The quality of the work these 2 men did is outstanding!!! We love our new screened in porch - this our new favorite place to be at home! The expanded front porch they did makes the front of our home look so much nicer (the old one was falling apart)! Beautiful! We will defiantly have them back to treat both decks when it is time!!!! I would recommend them to all of my family and friends!!! Great workmanship and ethics!!! Thank you for not one but two beautiful decks!!!

They came out the same day to look at the project and came 2 days later to finish the project and they were completely finished on the 3rd day. They are very organized. I had several questions about the project and every time I called he very courteously answered every question. The person he assigned to my project, Wes Stacey, had also done another little job for me that I hadn't been able to get a handyman out to do for over a year.

Marlon and his team arrived as promised and worked daily until the job was completed. They were all very professional, punctual, courteous, and worked in a very meticulous manner. I was very pleased with their attention to detail and would hire them again.The overall time to complete the project was about 10 days which was what I had anticipated. I was very happy with their services and how they were able to transform an existing deck and roof into what is now a wonderful outdoor living space
