Description of Work: I had my back deck screened in, and built a new deck area, stairs and a decorative fence for the front yard. They did an awesome job!, high quality craftsmanship , and very professional team. Would highly recommend Deck Specialist!

Description of Work: "Shored up" deck where it was sagging (wasn't properly attached to house and had inadequate support). Added brace supports. Replaced rotten wood and damaged boards. Applied Behr "DeckOver" protective paint. GREAT communication and followup -- always there when he said he'd be there, and if something changed, he'd call me.

Description of Work: they removed an old deck and built a new one. They also played price games with me regarding the services provided. I should have read the details in the contract closer.i thought I was buying a complete deck only to find that things like painting the bare wood and adequate lighting were not included. A family emergency took the senior contractor out of town and he left his brother in charge and he made decisions without consulting us. They redid the necessary work that should not have been necessary to redo in the first place.

Description of Work: Marlon and his team were extremely professional. They came quickly to quote the job, gave good suggestions and recommendations. The job was scheduled quickly - within a week - and completed as scheduled. The workers were courteous and cleaned up daily. Very pleased with the work.

Description of Work: Marlon did a great job, built a new deck 16x25 plus raised beds on the end. Looks great, created a nice design, attention to details. Was able to start work sooner than expected and finished on-time.

Description of Work: My house was built in 1998 and was 7 years old when I purchased it. In the (almost) 6 years that I have owned the house, I have had the porch painted once, replaced the top handrail on the south side, and have it cleaned as part of an overall house wash every two years. The bottom railing on the south end was rotten and the west-facing handrails were showing deteriation (a rocking chair blew over and broke two of the vertical spokes in one section). I wanted to replace all the wood sections with vinyl for extended life, as well as getting rid of the constant maintenance associated with wooden porch railings. Marlon Trippett is the owner - an extremely nice, professional young man. He was very responsive when I called for information and to get a quote. He thoroughly explained the types of railings available and what they would look like - giving me the choice. The price quoted included removing existing railings and disposal, wrapping 6 columns with white aluminum metal, installing 6 standard sections of vinyl handrails & 2 stair sections, and wrapping two bottom 4X4 posts with vinyl sleeves at the bottom of the stairs. Wrapping the 2 stair posts prevented drilling more holes into the brick stairs. Marlon explained the pricing quotes and answered all my questions about the project. The job was completed within 1 1/2 days- including securing the materials, removing and reattaching gutter downspouts, house number and flag pole holder. I was very pleased with the results and the quality of the workmanship. I would recommend Deck Specialist and would use them again for any other construction project.
