It took a bit of a push to get the process started like ordering the actual stone for the kitchen. But when all was set everything went smoothly. Jeff was spot on in the templating and did and excellent job in the cutting of the stone. It looks FABulous! The installation was also spot on, Jeff and Dillon were wonderful to work with. I'm thrilled about my kitchen counters and almost wish I had some other stone work they could do...just so I can work with them again. Thank you guys!!

We had an AMAZING experience with Boulder Creek Stone. The owner Jeff is truly passionate about his work. He said "I get to put the icing on the cake everyday, what could be better?" which really summarizes his outlook on his business. He arrived when promised to measurements/templates. He was booked out a few weeks for install. He surprised us and came early to install! His crew was VERY polite and professional. My granite had a quartz area in it that I loved, and he worked on each piece to cut it in such a way to showcase that quartz on each area that the granite was installed which I really appreciated. I would use boulder creek stone again in a heartbeat.

They were absolutely fantastic. They tore the old countertops out in one day. They had everything installed in literally the next day. They were great. We were just going to do our kitchen, but we had enough stone left over, so we did the bathroom as well. My wife had gone out and saw the stone on their lot. They guy came and measured and was real personable. He had a great personality. He had good detail and had good suggestions about the edge to put on the stone and those kinds of things. He was really helpful with that. He came out to do the measurements and the cutting and his team came out to do the installation. His operation seemed to be really well. They came and it fit perfectly. They worked with our schedule. They knew we were going to be gone for a day or two and they said they had our stuff ready to go. They were accommodating, as far as the time frame of when they would get to the installation. It was a good experience. Everything went smoothly during the installation. We priced a couple of places and they were in the mix. The guy who came out was what pushed them to the front of the list. They were here when they said they were going to be here, to do the measuring and everything else. It was not one of those deals where we called them and somebody didn't call us back for two days.

This was a long distance project for a vacation home, with a few ups and downs. I spoke to Jeff several times on the phone, he is very friendly and he never rushed me with my questions. He told me where to go to pick out the granite, which I did, unfortunately he was unable to get to my project right away and my granite was sold, (I was unaware of the granite warehouse's policy.) Once he was able to actually put me on his calender, I had to go back and choose a new slab, which was shipped to him, he then came to the house and carefully measured all the counters. Once he fabricated the counters, we scheduled the installation which was done by two of his workers. Apparently, the old counter was very difficult to remove and force was needed, in doing so, my new dishwasher was chipped and scratched. I did not notice it until the workers left, so I took pictures right away and sent them to Jeff. He was very apologetic and took responsibility for the damage. I had to have the dishwasher part ordered and installed, but Jeff was quick to reimburse me. Aside from the few inconveniences, the granite counters are beautiful and I am 100% happy with how things turned out. I would not hesitate to hire Jeff again, he does an awesome job. Thank you Jeff!

We chose our slabs and they went and picked them up from the stone yard. Then, they laid out the pattern for them and fabricated the countertops and installed the things. I loved everything. They were wonderful people. I liked the personalities and talents of the people involved. Everything was so smooth. If everybody could have as good experience as we had, there will be a lot more happy people in the world.

I called and set up an appointment to meet with Jeff at Boulder Creek. You can tell from the moment you meet him that he loves what he does. Working with him and his team was a very fun, productive and positive experience. Everyone was professional. All of the questions I had were answered respectfully. I took a sample of my slate flooring with me to view while checking the granite options available. Jeff has a great eye and made good suggestions. I found a slab that worked perfectly. From the time I drove away form the purchase to the time Jeff was in my home measuring for the cuts was four days. One week later the install was beautifully done. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Jeff and his team. My experiences with other trades in North Carolina has been, at best, average. They could all learn a great amount from this company's timeliness, honestly, level of commitment and professionalism.
Description of Work: It was a small kitchen countertop job. Jeff himself did the measuring and created the template for the cuts. One week later the install was done by other members of his team.

The entire job went beautifully. We plan to sell this house in the next year or so and knew we needed to upgrade the kitchen counter tops. We visited several granite places in WNC and quickly decided on Jeff at Boulder Creek. When we told him what we were planning, he listened, and then focused on our price range, and explained the differences between the price ranges. His initial quote was right on - no unexpected costs. The tear-out crew was on time, quick and efficient. We expected the first step, tear-out, to be rather noisy, but they were surprisingly quiet. Next came Jeff to make templates for the new granite. Again, Jeff was fast, pleasant, and professional. His measurements must have been accurate, because our new counter tops fit perfectly and we are thrilled with them. They were even ready and installed a day ahead of the promise-date. Not only would I recommend Boulder Creek Stone to someone else, but I already have. The day after installation, a friend called and mentioned he and his wife will be remodeling their kitchen and how did our job go. I told him about some of the other places we had looked, why we chose Boulder Creek Stone, and that we couldn't be happier with the project. They are professional and pleasant to deal with. They listen and make good recommendations. At every stage of the project, they were prompt, and we are completely satisfied with their work.
Description of Work: The overall service was to replace 15-year-old existing laminate kitchen counter tops with granite counter tops. They measured for the new counter tops, removed the old, prepared and installed the new granite.

Description of Work: I was looking for a piece of granite for a center island I was having built. A decorator at Home Depot sent me here because the minimum size you can buy at Home Depot was bigger than I needed. This outdoor showplace, directly on Route 64, was easy to find and I'm so glad it was. The owner (I think his name was Jeff) helped us find the right color and size, so I didn't have to buy a larger piece. Then he educated me about the edging options, showed me examples, and had the piece finished when promised. He even talked with the carpenter to help him to properly attach the top to the island. I would highly recommend this friendly, knowledgable, and dedicated man who clearly loves what he does.

I contacted Boulder Creek Stone for an estimate after reading great reviews on Angie's List. I got three estimates and although their estimate was not the lowest, I just felt more confident with them after meeting them and reading the reviews. There are 2 Jeff's that primarilly do the work, although they have other staff that are involved. Right from the beginning, I got a sense that their main objective was to provide me with quality service and to make sure that I was satisfied . They were very patient with all my questions and responded to all requests in a professional and timely manner. No matter what questions I asked, I was never made to feel silly for asking questions. A couple of really nice men who have a great sense of style and what would look best for the person's situation. Very professional, respectful and responsive. In fact, they went above and beyond by installing some trim along the sides of my kitchen cabinets to give the kitchen a more finished look....and they didn't charge me for the trim work...which was really great. I would definitely use this company again without hesitation.

Met with 2 different companies before choosing Boulder creek stone. Jeff's excitement and passion for his business out shined his competitors and got him the job. Jeff went over and beyond to help us find the right stone. He traveled with my wife and I to South Carolina to find the granite of our choice, which was not easy as we were very particular. Jeff was informative during the process and encouraged us to take the time to find the right stone with no pressure from him at all. In a matter of 2 weeks since our first meeting, Jeff was able to secure 2 slabs that we wanted, measure, cut, and install the counter tops and back splash within 5 days. Jeff was a pleasure to work with, punctual, and clean. His passion for his craft is contagious and the finished product of his work is beautiful. I highly recommend Jeff and his team.

There are professionals who cut stone, and there are professionals who love the stone they cut and turn it into art. If you want the professional who loves the stone he cuts, look no further than Jeff Warner of Boulder Creek Stone in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. His experience, expertise and passion for stone is evident in every design, every cut, and every fabrication. We discovered Jeff after my husband accidentally knocked over a glass-top end table, shattering the glass beyond repair. Because the glass was so thick, the cost of replacing it was comparable to having a new top made from granite. I was immediately impressed with the time and effort Jeff spent with me as I searched through granite remnants to find the perfect piece to be cut. Although I was only looking to replace a table top, Jeff treated my project as if it was an entire remodeling of a kitchen counter top in a million dollar home. The array and selection of stone available from Jeff range from traditional to rare. I do not currently have granite counter tops, but always desired them and I've shopped several locations in both North and South Carolina over the past several years. I saw pieces of stone at Jeff's location that I have never seen before and that took my breath away. Jeff's knowledge of stone isn't just limited to fabrication and installation. He talks passionately about each and every stone's origin, name, and geological uniqueness. I was so surprised and thrilled when Jeff created the top for my end table and specifically cut the granite to showcase a garnet embedded in the slab. Jeff's attention to detail is meticulous, as evidenced when he cut several pieces of granite to create a toe kick for the hearth pad that our wood stove sits upon. Our hearth pad is made from granite and sits four inches above the floor on a fire and heat retardant wooden frame. It too was cut from a remnant about 2 years ago, and we were given the few precious extra pieces to one day have a matching toe kick made. The matching toe kick had never been cut because I was unable to find someone I trusted enough to cut each piece with the precise angles necessary. Moreover, several stone cutters I spoke with expressed reluctance to try because there was literally no spare pieces should one break during the cutting process. After seeing how beautifully Jeff cut top for my end table, I asked if he would cut the toe kick. Jeff gladly took on this project and produced a toe kick that fit perfectly with no loss or breakage to the spare pieces. I mention this particular project in detail because while I have not yet had granite counter tops fabricated and installed by Jeff, this toe kick project required as much patience, technique and skill to be done correctly. I will have no hesitation having Jeff do my kitchen counter tops in the very near future based on my experiences and would heartily recommend Jeff to anyone who is considering the same. Jeff's services are at least competitively priced, if not better. He works carefully, neatly, and with the utmost respect for your home. Lastly, I just have to mention that Jeff is a sincere joy and pleasure to work with, both as a professional and as a person.
Description of Work: Designed, fabricated, and cut custom granite table top and custom toe kick for a wood stove hearth pad. The hearth pad project involved techniques and expertise very similar to the installation of granite counter tops.

After much searching at different types of granite, I found one that I loved but was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford it because it was a Level 3, which is more expensive. I had received a quote from one granite fabrication business and they wanted $1000.00 MORE for the same exact thing that I could get at Boulder Creek. I took a gamble in using Boulder Creek, as I had not heard or read any reviews on them. I am so glad I did, because they did a beautiful job. They were very easy and professional to work with. I was amazed at the care they took in cleaning up after themselves and not damaging my cabinets. One thing that I was amazed at, was the fact that were able to take my Kohler sink, which was NOT an undermount sink, and make it work out as an undermount. The workmanship in cutting the grantie to fit the curves around the back of each bowl on both sides of the sink, was immaculate. I would highly recommend them!!!!!!!!!!!
Description of Work: Jeff from Boulder Creek came on a Tuesday, the day they said they would and layed out a template for the counter tops. On Friday of the same week, the counter tops were installed. A problem arose in the fitting of the granite slab that fits behind the sink on my window sill due to the depth of the faucet (not Jeff's measuring), but that was quickly managed and that piece and the backsplash's were reinstalled on the following Monday.
