He was so friendly, personable and helpful throughout the process. He was eager to talk us through his work, every step of the way, explaining everything and offering advice and suggestions that were beyond the scope of what he needed to do. But we were far more interested in having all of the information appear in the report than having it presented to us orally. When the report arrived, it was entirely sufficient and yet not as thorough or detailed as we had expected, especially when we considered how much information he had presented to us throughout the inspection. When we looked back at reports we've received for inspections on previous homes (in different cities), we found that they offered far more detail and expertise, and they were easier to read, better organized, etc. However, he also provided us with extensive photographs of everything, something that was very helpful and something that we hadn't received from other inspectors for previous homes.

Tom was great, he was friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to show us each issue he came across and explain how it could be resolved. After suspecting grounding issues, he tested every single outlet in the house to give us an idea of the scope of the problem and went out of his way to make sure we understood the tests and what the results meant. We received his report very quickly (a day and a half after the inspection) and it was detailed, organized, and easy to understand. Tom's inspection was key in knowing what we're getting into and negotiating for repairs, and we highly recommend him.
