Whether you need to repair an existing garage door or replace it with a new one, A1 Garage Door Service can help. Equipped with the industry's best training and tools, our team will empower you to make the right choice for your home.

"This was a great experience from start to finish. I found A1 through Angi, and they responded immediately. We set up an appointment, and Zack not only called with an ETA but also offered to bring me coffee. Zack assessed what was needed, quoted me the same price they offered initially, which was well below their competitors, and completed the work efficiently and quickly. I appreciated that when I had questions during the installation, Zack stopped to answer them completely. When he was finished he cleaned up the work area and took all of the trash away. He also programmed the keypads and my car. I was thoroughly impressed with Zack's professionalism and thoroughness. I would strongly recommend this company!"

No service calls, just quality work, and great prices! Ace Garage Door Values fixing the problem, every time! Our company does not mess around with cheap parts, but we also have very affordable prices! We value customer service and customer satisfaction. You will be happy when choosing Ace as your Garage Door Pros! We are family owned and operated and our family has been in the trade for over 50 years!

"Maddux was the 1st to reply and gave us an estimate over the phone with a picture of the broken spring. I cannot say whether his pricing was competitive since I didn't see any of the others. We needed the door fixed quickly. I can say that the estimate was spot on. Repairs were done efficiently AND he adjusted how far the door was opening which was causing the cable to be loose. I would recommend Maddux and will use again if needed."

Additional address - 3809 Gribble Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079.

"I called a few friends to get a referral for a garage door issue. Two friends said to call Cox. My garage door had been “warped” and finally it got bent out of shape to where I need a new door. The phone person said a service charge to come out would be $140. I told the two guys who came out I wanted to order a new system/door. They offered to fix the door where it would open and close (no longer automatic) until the new door could arrive. A brace (one piece of sheet metal) was placed across the old door so it would open and close. 30 mins and the brace resulted in $340 bill which I paid debit card.. afterwards I called back to the service writer and complained about the price for a temporary fix. He did not seem to be the one to handle a customer complaint regarding the price so I ask that the owner call me. The owner never called me which tells me he doesn’t care about his customers or is too whimpy to listen to a concern. Knowing I was ordering a new door and installation from Cox I expected a better price for a temporary repair in less than 30 minutes. I will not recommend Cox Door Company Inc to anyone. If the owner refuses to handle a problem for a customer I can find someone else to finish the job which I did and was treated more than fair….. price and service!"

Carolina Garage Service is a small business owned and operated by veterans/family. We focus on providing outstanding quality parts and service for affordable prices. we don't believe in sales pitches or service calls, we give free quotes over the phone and fast same day service available. 10 year parts warranty on every job

"My older garage door was rotten and after one of the springs broke, I decided it was time to replace the door and upgrade the curb appeal of my home. After interviewing 4 garage door companies, I selected Carolina Garage Service based on their price (3 of the 4 companies sold the same exact garage door) and seemingly stellar online reviews. This was even after the "estimator" blew off my initial appointment and the owner Spencer Kempton called to reschedule for the next morning. I ordered a 8'x7' Doorlink 431 insulated garage door with Stockton windows for the top panel and add decorative spear hardware. The techs were also to replace the existing track and spring but retain my newer opener for $950. I paid a 50% deposit via Cash App on Wednesday and the work was to commence on Thursday. On Thursday, the installers arrived at my house at 11:00 am and proceeded to start disassembly of my existing garage door. While we were going over the job, one of the installers remarked that if I wanted the "upgraded garage door rollers", they would install them for an additional $80. I pushed back since that wasn't what was discussed and, through my interactions with the other garage door installers, I learned that the "upgraded" rollers were the standard rollers that came with the door. At that moment, I should have thrown them off the property and called the cops. When they unloaded the new door, I noticed that it didn't appear to be the correct model (it was stamped 430, which is a non-insulated door) and did not have the insulation requested. After they called the owner Spencer Kempton, they said that he ordered the wrong parts but they would supply an insulation kit. Spencer would later say this was the fault of the distributor Southern Ideal Door. About an hour into the tear down, they asked to borrow tools to remove the existing door (another bad sign) and then about an hour after that, they left to retrieve different tracks and springs. Mind you, they removed my entire garage door and left the job site with my entire house and garage exposed. I ended up sitting on my front porch for the next hour while I waited for them to return; watching over my stuff. The techs eventually returned with different tracks - this time too short and attempted to install them anyway. After 3 panels were "up" and the track only partially installed, they started to wrap up, vowing to return the next morning to finish. With only 3 panels up, my garage was still open to the elements and potential thieves. After convincing them to screw in one of the old panels to the wall to provide some look of a garage door, they left. Friday morning came and so did the excuses as to why they weren't coming Friday - maybe Monday. They claimed that they needed "angle iron" from their distributor. Angle Iron (the metal bits that the garage motor and track are suspended by) is available at every hardware store for about $15 for 6'. At this point, figuring that it was highly likely that they would not show on Monday either, I messaged the owner Spencer Kempton and his installers telling them that they can pick up the door pieces left at my house on Monday, refund my $475 deposit via Cash App, and they were fired. A couple hours later, I spoke with the owner Spencer Kempton who proceeded to offer me a $75 discount, then offered to send someone else, and then another discount but no refund. He stated that the door could not be returned and that I could have someone else come and finish the job. I declined all offers as the installers took most of the door parts with them and this wasn't the door I had ordered anyway (it wasn't insulated). At some point our conversation, he also admitted that he is living in California, attempting to start another garage door company there and that his installers had not installed a garage door like this before. He was attempting to guide them via the phone but simply, they were incompetent. At this point, I have an incorrect partial garage door, the wrong sized track, not all of the parts, and have now hired another installer to start the entire job again for another $1000+. BEWARE: Carolina Garage Service are nothing more than grifters out to make a quick buck."

Garage door services FAQs

Garage door repairs cost $260 on average but can range anywhere from $80 to $675. Factors such as the type of repair needed, the style of your garage door, and the material your door is made of all play a part in the final price tag.

For example, wood garage doors look beautiful but are prone to dents, splitting, and cracks that are difficult to fix. You can expect to spend an average of $200 to $300 to repair your wooden garage door. Fiberglass garage doors are more durable and less expensive to fix, averaging around $100 to $200.

The cost of replacing garage door panels is around $1,200 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few factors, you could pay as little as $250 or as much as $3,000 or more. Considerations like panel style and the type of garage door you have all factor into what you pay.

While sectional garage doors are common among homeowners, they are often the most expensive to replace, averaging around $700 to $2,400. Tilt-up garage doors, which are the simplest door available, range from $400 to $1,400.

Annual to biannual routine garage door maintenance is vital to extending its life as much as possible. Most importantly, noticing any unusual sounds or movements and taking care of them as soon as possible is one of the best ways to maintain your garage door. Keeping the tracks clear of dirt and debris and lubricating the rollers and other moving parts twice a year will also help to get the most out of your door.

Even though garage doors can last 15 to 30 years, it’s important to recognize the signs of wear and tear or other damage that might cause the need for a repair or replacement. A big sign that your garage door needs repair or replacement is the door not opening and closing correctly, including moving slower than usual. Also, if you notice that your garage door is becoming warped or overly weathered, it’s time to call a professional to discuss your options and tips for buying a new garage door.

Garage doors generally last between 15 to 30 years, depending on many factors. Your location plays an essential role in your garage door’s lifespan—doors exposed to harsh elements like heavy rain or intense heat might not last as long as those installed in a milder climate. How often you use your garage door also factors into its overall lifespan. Generally, standard garage door springs can withstand 20,000 cycles, whereas tension springs typically last between 5,000 and 10,000.
