About us

Dixon Pool & Construction is a well known local company providing services in the North & South Carolina areas. We are a reseller / installer for Radiant Pools. We also install and build in ground and above ground pools. We provide service and maintenance for commercial and residential customers. We also provide rehabs on pools in not so great condition. (Some services are not offered in all areas) We also provide free estimates for pool rehabs, liner changes, and installations. Aside from pools, we also offer structural repairs, retaining walls, and light grading.

We offer free estimates on all liner replacements and for major renovation. We install both In-ground and Above-ground. The provider was nice and courteous to talk to but promised to finish landscaping around the pool and did not then stated he would at least load the extra dirt left over if we provided a truck then told us we would have to rent a bobcat and take care of the dirt ourselves cause he didn't have time.He neglected to get a permit for the job which we had take care of.The next problem was the provider stated he would have to charge $1500 to install bonding to pass inspection and $50.00 to wire the pool pump.Very disatisfied overall.If he was losing money on the job as he stated then he should have quoted the price appropriately instead of leaving it unfinished. The yard is still a mess with piles of dirt that we are still trying to deal with Overall he didn not do what he promised when he agreed to take on the job.I will not use or recommend this company ever.

Response from Dixon Pool & Construction
We installed a Radiant pool at the above address, but not for the customer stated above. The original quote / cost of the job was $11,598.24. We originally quoted the pool to be installed above ground. We provided a contract that the customer signed and it clearly states "the customer is responsible for obtaining any and all permits". The customer failed to do so, in fact stated that they did not need them. When we were to start the install the customer decided they wanted the pool half in ground, which we did at no extra cost. We did receive a stop work order from the city due the customer not obtaining the permits. The customer provided their own electrical, but since they did not know how to bond the pool per code we did offer the services at an additional cost. We advised the customer that we could remove some of the dirt that was not on the original quote but their would be fees involved for the extra use of the equipment as well as the use of a dump truck. We never stated that we would do any landscaping around the pool. Our contract states that we are not landscapers and do not offer those services. We did lose money on this job due to the customer not getting the required permits, and us providing extra services which we did not originally agree to. The customer we provided the work for still comes into our retail store and calls for help or information.
