Description of Work: Completely replaced downstairs floor (1200 SqFt). 2 bathrooms used composite (DuraCeram). Utility/Laundry room used Konnecto with wood pattern. Remainder of house was Bruce engineered floating wood floor. .

Description of Work: We hired Wholesale Flooring Company to install new tile and grout for kitchen floor and backsplash, dining room, and utility room. The company installed the floor and backsplash in February 2008. From the beginning the grout had obvious problems. It was not the right color and overall appearance was very blotchy. At the grout manufacture (TEC ) representative s recommendation the flooring company cleaned the grout twice and tried sealing the utility room once. The color of the grout is still incorrect. These procedures have now resulted in having 3 different colors of grout through-out the tiled area. In August 2008 the company brought in a technical representative from the grout manufacturer (TEC ) to look at the floor and backsplash. The representative concluded that an "installation" problem was the cause of the discoloration. The grout manufacturer representative s recommendation is to paint the grout. We contracted with the flooring company for new tile floor and backsplash. We also incurred extra cost for the price tag of a "new high tech" grout that we purchased due to qualities of the color, durability, and never to needing to be sealed. We did not contract for a floor with a faux finished grout.
