They did an excellent job! Our piano was very out of tune. It had to be tuned twice. It was a very professional job! Will use them again!

Timothy arrived on time. He not only used a tuning device but listened by ear to set the piano strings properly. He also removed keys that needed their tops reglued. He was back a few days later and reinstalled the keys. The piano sounds great.

He did a great job, charged only $65 extra for a pitch raise and the piano sounds great.  Very courteous and professional.  I can definitely recommend Barnes Piano for tuning/repair of a piano.  (He can also play beautifully.  His final test of the tune was like a mini-concert!

My experience with the company was fine, however, I feel the price is high for the service compared to other companies and my experience in other cities. Also, the price was higher than expected because of the add on service of pitch adjustment. I was also given a list of other repairs/refurbishments I could do to the piano as maintenance, that I don't feel are necessary for a piano for personal use. I was a piano instructor for 16 years, and haven't had another tuner suggest so many repairs on what I feel is a piano that doesn't really need it.

Tim Barnes did an absolutely wonderful job in tuning my piano!  It had been many years since the last tune-up so it required him to spend longer than normal getting it up to pitch.  He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional.  I will definitely have him back  next year and will definitely refer him to those who need this service.

I received my wife's piano from her parents that hadn't been tuned in 10+ years and wanted to get to tuned to make it playable again.  I looked on Angie's List and decided to go with Mr. Barnes since he had such great reviews, and mine will be no exception.  Mr. Barnes understands that customer service is important along with being exceptional at what you do.  I was able to easily schedule an appointment with his staff.  They confirmed my appointment then and the day before the appointment, they explained to me how a typical service call goes and what I could expect in terms of price. Mr. Barnes arrived on time and made sure I understood what needed to be done and what it would cost.  He is very good at what he does and you get great value for the price.  His prices are very fair for the quality service you receive.  My wife was thrilled with the results of Mr. Barnes tuning.  It was a easy decision to have them go ahead and schedule me for regular tunings. A+

A great experience.  Because the piano had not been tuned in over twenty-five years, I had to pay a little extra.  However, the quality of the work was worth it.

Mr. Barnes' office was very courteous and accommodating in making my appointment (which I had to change, with no problem).  They e-mailed me a price list and information ahead of time so that I would know what to expect when Mr. Barnes arrived.  They also confirmed and sent me a reminder for the appointment.  Everything was professional and easy.
Mr. Barnes arrived exactly on time.  He was very professional and friendly.  He explained things to me from the beginning.  He had to take one of the piano rods back to his shop, and was timely in getting it back.  His office called to schedule a convenient time for him to stop back to re-install.  Everything went well.

Tim did a great job with my piano. He was able to squeeze me in immediately and I'm thrilled to have my Baldwin back in tune again.
To let you know what kind of time he invested with my instrument - he spent nearly 3 hours and had to do some additional tweaking because it was 20% sharp in some places.  I have setup 6 month intervals for tuning with him moving forward and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professional, dedicated and knowledgeable tuner!

We had a very good experience and already have our next appointment scheduled for January.  Tim was very pleasant and professional.  He was running a little late because another job had taken longer than expected, but he let us know.  He e-mailed us a price sheet prior to the appointment so we would know about how much extra it might cost above the basic tuning.  Our piano was very out of tune so it was nice to have that estimate.  The gal who does his scheduling is also very pleasant and professional.

Tim has been tuning out piano for several years now, in six-month intervals and always does a great job.   Today, however, we both agreed, that the tuning went especially well. There are a couple of keys/string that are hard to keep in tune, the last ones before the base section and they came out beautifully today.   The big deal on Angie's list brought down the tuning price to $75.00 which was and additional bonus.   I'll definitely be using Tim in the future.

It went great.  Very thorough and gave me recommendations on how to keep my piano in top condition.  Would definitely use again.
