+ 9 moreHe remodeled an old garage in the back of my property, adding an addition that created a 720 sq ft cottage apartment above a 700 sq foot garage. Originally the upstairs was a woodworking shop heated by a coal stove. Richard gutted the interior on both levels, added a 2 story addition, relocated the stairs and designed and framed the interior floor plan upstairs. Richard's subcontractors assisted with new plumbing, wiring and heating and a/c, and insulation. Richard installed new drywall and beadboard interior walls, installed new cabinets and marble countertops in the kitchen, and was able to refinished the original wood floors upstairs. They're beautiful. He installed the windows and remaining tile flooring himself. To create separation between the kitchen and living room in the small apartment, Richard designed and built a full-size pantry, and a refrigerator cabinet. Those changes give the space a nice finished feel. The apartment now rents for $700 monthly, and everyone who sees it falls in love!
Description of Work: Sealy Remodeling has done several jobs for me over the years, on both my personal residence and rental properties. Most recently he remodeled my 1920's garage apartment in Belmont, NC.
