+ -1 moreTom Newsome came out to the house and examined the crawl space. Our hardwood flooring had cupped shortly after we moved into our new house. He suggested we take the steps listed above to prevent more humidity, mold, etc. We agreed. They arrived a bit early, which was fine. After the job was done my husband went into the crawl space and noticed that the condensate pump was not lower than the dehumidifier. He called Tom and a man was at our house the next day to see that the condensate pump was sitting lower than the dehumidifier so that the water could go into the pump. I would give them a rating of A except that if my husband had not noticed this we might have had a problem.
Description of Work: All vents and openings were sealed. A dehumidifier and condensate pump were installed.

+ -1 moreWe had 3 inches of rain last night and not a drop is in my basement. A month ago I'd be bailing. DryPro is amazing. The initial contact was not very satisfying; but, because of what I had read on the list, I called the office and explained that. Next day the owner and his father were in my basement and designed a marvelous plan to dry my whole house. The office staff was so flexible to set times to accommodate. Ronnie Sr. came out and introduced me to the crew. Each day Victor reviewed what was to be done in the morning and updated me about completion in the afternoon. All of the crew were friendly and polite. They respected my privacy, my home and even my yippy dogs. Friends commented that they had heard DryPro was pricey. They were not the low bid on this project, but sometimes you get what you pay for. The quality of the work is excellent and the entire process was congenial and comfortable. They were more than worth the cost.
Description of Work: They installed a sump pump and a sanidry system. They dug French drains through two areas of the basement and created drainage pipe to the outside. They covered the entire basement in a waterproof covering and sealed the vents to the outside.

+ -1 moreTom was very helpful in explaining what Dry Pro does, and was very patient as I walked him through the process I followed when I first uncovered problems. He made a very thorough examination of the basement. He did not try to sell me something I did not need, but in fact confirmed I had taken the appropriate action.
Description of Work: I had humidity issues in my house and after installing a de-humidifier, I called Dry Pro to have them come out and inspect my basement to ensure there was nothing else I needed to do at this time.

+ 0 moreMark met w/us a few times before we actually hired them to seal the crawlspace. We bought a house and found it had mold. Another co (Advent Clean) treated the mold and recommended Dry-Pro. He even contacted our termite guy who was concerned that termites would be under the barrier and explained the situation to him (and us) before we even hired them to do the work. We needed to ensure that when the mold was removed from our house it wouldn't come back, so we hired them. It took them a week to get it completely installed. We now have the cleanest crawlspace! Many co's that have been under the house since (plumbers, AC tech, etc.) have commented on how nice it is. We had a plumbing leak that left water in the crawlspace in puddles instead of draining to the sump pump. I called and someone was out the same day. They cleaned up the standing water. I meant to call Mark and ask why the water didn't flow to the sump pump but have forgotten to call and ask why the water puddled.
Description of Work: They cleaned out our crawlspace, leveled the ground so if any water got in their it would be routed to the sump pump, installed a barrier all around the crawlspace including up the walls, sealed the air vents from the inside (looks the same from the outside), installed a sump pump, installed a dehumidifier, ran a drain line to the outside and installed a bubble pot, fixed/repaired the crawl space door, and hired an electrician to install an electrical outlet for the dehumidifier (we paid the electrician separately).

+ 0 moreAll the people we spoke with at Dry Pro were very professional and customer oriented. While the price was steep, we believe it was reasonable for the work performed and the materials used. We actually expected the quote to be much higher. The humidity levels in our crawlspace before the work were in the 90+ percent range. Now they are below 60 percent. We highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Areas of our crawlspace had mold and mildew on floor joists. Dry Pro cleared and sealed 2,200 square feet of crawlspace. Installed a sump pump, waterproof barrier, and a dehumidifier.

+ -1 moreWhat a great company. The rep came out today and checked out our crawlspace. His recommendation was to add an extra downspout for our gutters, as he thinks this was the cause of the moisture. He also recommended my husband put down a vapor barrier. In other words, at this point we do not need his company. I really appreciate the honesty and the free advice. If the problems persist after we follow his recommendations, I will not hesitate to use Dry Pro. It is very reassuring to know that honesty comes first, especially when advising us on something we know little about and could easily be taken in by a dishonest company. He also advised us to remove the lawn mower that was being stored under the house, as it is a hazard and has a risk of an explosion with the furnace nearby. I obviously really appreciated that advice. I will recommend them to anyone.

+ -1 moreRonnie came out promptly to do the estimate, took photos of the water damage, and crawled back under the house with us to show us what needed to be done. The estimate was accurate and that amount was what we paid. They worked for four days, always showed up on time, cleaned up each day. They were very polite and respectful of us and our property. The only down side to the experience was with Roby Electric, which Dry Pro had no control over. Roby was terrible, didn't know what they were doing, and were a day late in coming. Dry Pro itself was an excellent choice for basement waterproofing. Our only caveat is, use an electrician that you know and trust.
Description of Work: They worked for 4 days. They smoothed over the dirt under our house, removed all the rocks and levelled it out. They lined the floor and walls with the heavy duty liner. They installed a dehumidifier, put in a drain and dug a drainage ditch 40 feet long out from the front of the house down the front lawn. The only problem with the whole experience was with the electrical aspects of the job. Dry Pro does not do the electrical wiring part of the job. Since we did not know any electricians we asked Dry Pro if they had a recommendation. They said they used Jeff from Roby and had never had any problems with Jeff. However, Jeff wasn't available. The Roby guy (not Jeff) came a day late, then when he did come, he didn't do the job right (the dehumidifier kept tripping the circuit breaker), so two different Roby guys came back a second time, still didn't fix the problem. They had put in the wires backwards. Finally, one of the Dry Pro people was able to reverse the wires and fix the problem.

+ -1 moreThis company is the real deal. Our crawlspace is in excellent shape, and Doug reported that really nothing needed to be done, except clear out a vent that had been covered with mulch. Another company told us the space with very damp and would need a complete encapsulation, costing $3,000 - $4,000. Dry Pro Systems is obviously a very honest business, with integrity at its core. And we can't say enough about Doug, who did a tremendous job in evaluating our home.
Description of Work: I called Dry Pro Systems to evaluate our crawlspace for moisture. Very responsive. Scheduled Doug to come out within a couple of days. Doug arrived on time, and after a quick review of the home, inspected the crawlspace. Doug's inspection report, including digital photos of the crawlspace, was very thorough.

THIS WAS THE 3RD COMPANY THAT WE INTERVIEWED, BUT THEY SEEMED THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE AND THEIR PRICE WAS THE MOST COMPETITIVE. THEY ALSO SPENT THE MOST TIME EVALUATING OUR DRAINAGE PROBLEMS. THEY SCHEDULED THE WORK WITHIN 2 WEEKS. THE WORK WAS SCHEDULED FOR 1 DAY, BUT ENDED UP TAKING 2 DAYS DUE TO THE COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB. EVEN THOUGH THE WORK TOOK TWICE AS LONG AS EXPECTED, THE PRICE WAS THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. AFTER COMPLETING THE WORK, RON SR. CAME OUT TO REVIEW THE JOB WITH ME AND TEST THE SUMP PUMP FOR ME. THE EMPLOYEES WERE PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND NEAT.

WE THOUGHT OUR ONLY OPTION WAS TO DIG AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE UNTIL WE LEARNED ABOUT DRY-PRO. THEY SEALED OUR HOUSE, FROM THE INSIDE, AND WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY WATER PROBLEMS SINCE. WE HAVE COMPLETELY FINISHED OUR BASEMENT NOW, AND HAVE FAITH THAT OUR WATER PROBLEMS ARE OVER. THE CREW WAS ALWAYS ON TIME, AND DID THEIR BEST TO KEEP THE MESS TO A MINIMUM. THE CREW WAS PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL AND DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING-UP. WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER INSTALLATION OF DRY-PRO, WE HAD 5-1/2 INCHES OF RAIN, (WE OFTEN HAVE DOWNPOURS) AND THERE WAS NOT A DROP OF WATER IN THE BASEMENT. WE ARE QUITE PLEASED. THIS IS OUR SECOND EXPERIENCE WITH DRY-PRO (TWO DIFFERENT HOUSES, TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROBLEMS). IN BOTH CASES THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH.
