They did a good job. The workers were very good. They left nothing. I would refer the company to a friend or a family member. They were not the cheapest but they were the most experienced and we got the best reviews. I think we got what we wanted. The price was within range. It was not out of range. It was comparable but not the lowest. We chose them because of their name and reputation. They told us when they were coming and when they would not be here. They had to do something the first day and then they had to wait over a 24 hour period for something to happen. Then, it took them two days to finish what they had to do. That's exactly what they told us.

I barely knew they were here except when the electrician needed to get to the electric panel inside the house. They were polite and responsive and finished the job on time as promised.

Dry Pro was very responsive and professional in dealing with them on the phone and in person. We received a really nice mailer from them with brochures about the work they perform with detailed explanations of processes and benefits. From the looks of things they do what they do very well. All that being said the reason for the overall fair rating was because I felt that they aimed for the fences when giving us the estimate and pretty much completely ignored what we were wanting to get accomplished by hiring a company to do this repair. We contacted 4 local companies for estimates and told them what we wanted to have done. We received comparable estimates from 3 companies who all said they would recommend only replacing the bad insulation, repairing the loose insulation, installing a new vapor barrier and replacing the foundation vents. Dry Pro's estimate recommended replacing all the crawlspace insulation, sealing off the vents, installing a new vapor barrier, wiring and installing a permanent dehumidifier and extensive dry ice blasting. The estimate was more than $8,000 compared to the other three estimates we received which were all very close and sub $2000. If you're interested in high end crawl space work they may be a good choice.
Description of Work: Gave estimate to perform crawl space repair of insulation and installation of new vapor barrier as well as installation of new crawlspace vents.

The walk also had brick pavers mortared on top of the concrete walk. Workers Oscar and Brandon did an excellent and professional job. They drilled 1/2 inch diameter holes through the mortar between the brick pavers and then on through the concrete walk. The holes were placed about two feet apart down the length of the walk area of interest. They pressure injected the Poly Level material beneath the walk where it filled voids and then began to slowly raise the elevation of the walk. They proceded incrementally, using the various holes to pump Ploy Level until the entire walk was properly supported and raised to the desired, original level. Great job guys!
Description of Work: They used their Poly Level system to restore the elevation of a soil supported concrete walk that had separated from foundation supported front steps. The walk had sunk about 4 inches during the time of a 4-year drought in the 1998-2002 time frame.

A returning customer of Dry Pro Charlotte, I regretfully found my recent experience to be totally unacceptable. Dry Pro Charlotte failed to deliver services in the manner they promised. Their failure caused me several weeks of significant and unnecessary delay and inconvenience. A one week project became an eight week nightmare because Dry Pro Charlotte appeared to be unable to effectively communicate within their own organization. Their failure to comply with local governmental requirements regarding the installation of support beneath my house resulted in an inspection failure. The inspection failure was not handled in a timely manner thus resulting in further delays. It would seem that a company that handles such projects daily would know the rules, and readily be able to comply with them. It would also seem that they would be able to correct their mistakes in a prompt and effective manner. My latest experience with Dry Pro Charlotte was disappointing to say the least. If their nice words and apologies counted in the ratings, they would receive superior marks. But, their words do not count. From my experience, their words have little credibility. Amazingly, Dry Pro Charlotte acted as if they did not know what to do. Their responses to me were incorrect and conflicting. It is not likely that I will ever use Dry Pro Charlotte again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

We take full responsibility and agree with this member. We failed you as a customer due to a breakdown of communication between our administrative team, county inspectors and our production crew. We have reviewed this particular incident and provided training to our team to ensure that it won't happen again in the future. We will be issuing you a full refund for the repairs as we feel that we did not live up to our Core Focus of Changing Lives and missed the mark on 3 of our 4 Core Values. Please accept our deepest apologies.

I recently completed plans to renovate a portion of my home. By chance, a representative of Dry Pro Charlotte happened to contact me regarding an annual fee-based inspection for previous work on my home. After discussing the additional work with him, I was informed that the warranty related to the previous work would be voided if I did not use Dry Pro for the related portion the additional work. In that the warranty on the previous work covered several thousand dollars of improvements, I went with with Dry Pro. It Is is important to note that while the major portion of the previous work was done well, Dry Pro had made careless errors in completing the job. They failed to reconnect the air ducts under the house allowing for dust and other elements to enter the air system for several days prior to discovery. They also failed to properly secure the crawl apace door resulting in a significant accumulation of water underneath the house. Dry Pro had initially removed the door from the house in order to complete the work. They failed to reattach it, and simply leaned it up in the opening leaving wide, open spaces around the door. Upon notification, Dry Pro promptly responded. Although they attempted to fix the door, the damage was such that it required additional professional work to keep the water out. Knowing of their reputation, i chalked the problems up to misfortune and moved on. In arranging for the completion of the new work, I made a pointed effort to discuss our plans in detail with Dry Pro. My contractor also talked with them about the work. We were repeatedly assured that everything would be done absolutely correctly and completed within the schedule we gave them. Dry Pro had several weeks to plan and schedule the work. After some confusion on their part a few days before the job, Dry Pro did show up as scheduled. They also completed the work as scheduled. Their crew was very courteous and careful to meet our needs. However, the work was done without the approval of local governmental inspection which Dry Pro clearly understood was required. The inspector came, looked at the completed work and issued a failure mark due to not being able to access the footing area. Rather than completing the footing work, and allowing for inspection, and then completing the remainder of the work, Dry Pro had done all of the work at the same time. It is hard to imagine that a company that does this type of work daily would fail to work by the rules. Astonishingly, when contacted about the failure, Dry Pro was neither aware of the problem nor did they have any logical explanation for what had happened. The county permit and inspection information are available on line thus allowing me to see that Dry Pro had failed to request an additional inspection. In attempting to understand the problem, I was informed by the county that Dry Pro would be required to remove the completed work, uncover the footing and arrange for an additional inspection. After several calls to Dry Pro, with gracious assurances that corrections would be made, nothing happened. From information I was able to get from various Dry Pro employees, the company failed to appropriately communicate both internally, and with the inspector thus causing a several day delay in the process. After several days, an engineer was hired by Dry Pro to look at the footing and issue a letter supporting the integrity of the work. However, the inspector was still required to visit the site and view the work. In that the project involved a load bearing wall, no work inside the house could proceed without the approval of the Dry Pro portion of the work. Construction was delayed for more than a week. Due to demands on their schedules, the subs moved to other schedule projects forcing us to extend the project. We are now in the seventh week of a projected one week project. Due to their failure to deliver what they had agreed to deliver in a timely manner, the excessive inconvenience, and the additional expenses we anticipate, I requested that Dry Pro allow for some consideration for adjustment to their charges. I asked for no specific amount and left it to determine as they felt appropriate. They did not refuse, but responded in a way to suggest that I was looking for something for nothing. Surprised and disappointed by their lack of customer service, and their disrespect, I simply paid the entire invoice. I no longer have any interest in any adjustment. I honored my part of the deal, they did not. The sad thing about this situation is that Dry Pro seems to be a good company run by good people. If their words could make everything right, they would get superior marks. But, their words and their actions are not connected. They simply do not have their act together. Their calls were gracious and seemed sincere. But, it all rings hollow when they now have all of their money, and I still have a mess. While much more could be shared about their unbelievable lack of internal communication, I will simply say that i will never use them again and will actively share my negative experiences with others. I have paid for the right.

They provided an estimate for mold remediation and masonry piers. They sent me a real nice deck of information before the guy came out and gave me an estimate. To be honest, I was hesitant about what drypro was all about. I was actually going to get two other quotes. I ended up talking to a friend of mine Paul who really said these guys are the best and trust them. Im glad I did! The problem at our home is that we are built into a hill somewhat. The back of our home is into a the hill slightly and the hydrostatic pressure of the ground water when saturated would simply push up at the foundation wall and slowly drain down to a the lowest point in the crawl space. There is no way to really correct this, but to simply just live with it and install the drain system and eject the water out of the crawl space at the lowest point. The quote made sense, they did not try to over sell me. I am a closet engineer and understand the fundamentals of what was needed. DryPro quoted me and scheduled it up. I was not sure how long this would take. Its 150 feet of drain pipe in a crawl space where they dig out the hard clay, lay gravel, lay the pipe and gravel over the top. Adam, Corey and Travis (in alphabetical order) came in and knocked it one day. They were a great team, great guys and really did a great job all around. I went down and inspected everything after they left and it was clean. We will see how much water it pushes out. The real test is when it warms up and the rains start. If the humidity levels stay low in the crawl space, then the $3500 was well spent! After the drypro crew left, their subcontractor for electrical work and ran a dedicated circuit for the sump pump to my panel. Labeled it all correctly an seems fine. Go for it!

First used Dry Pro about 10 or 12 years ago. At that time Ron Weatherly and his father came to the house to inspect. Entire experience was very positive and lots of good communication. My sense is that the company has grown beyond it's capacity. This feeling is based on the four week lead time (as noted by a previous reviewer) as well as their inability / unwillingness to actively communicate with the customer. A brief summary is below. 1) Dry pro provided estimate and lead time of 4 weeks. Accepted the offer 2) Offer was accepted with a $2,000 check sent to the company 3) After a week of not hearing anything about receipt of the check or the scheduled work time, I called the company. They confirmed that received the check. 4) In same conversation, scheduled work to take place on Mon-Wed of Thanksgiving week. 5) On Mon of that week, a truck arrived with individuals who were to remove the material under the house including the insulation. This vehicle was marked with the logo of another company...not Dry Pro...who was either a sub-contractor or subsidiary of Dry -Pro. Would have thought that would have been in part of communication package. When that work was complete, one of the workers approached me for payment. I refused indicating my check would be written to Dry Pro upon completion. 6) Crew arrives following day to conduct mold mediation. From same company as noted above but no Dry Pro logo. 7) Received phone call from Dry Pro indicating that they were behind and that our work would be completed on Friday. Apparently the delays were at another customer site and the company assumed that Friday would be acceptable. Told them it was not and work was scheduled for following week. 8) Work completed and assume that it was completed to correct specs. Mailed check for outstanding balance and never heard anything from the company. No survey...no thank you. 9) I attempted to contact Ron Weatherly several times during this encounter with Dry Pro but calls were unanswered or forwarded to another individual. I would gladly do business again with the Dry Pro that first came to my house years ago. Before I shelled out over $13k again, I would do more homework. My work this time was based on prior experience with the company. This experience was no where close to the positive experience I first encountered with the company. Most of my frustration is not with the work but the organizations inability/unwillingness to actively communicate with their customer.

We most certainly made some mistakes on this customers home actually this was his mothers home and I personally take 100% ownership on those mistakes mostly with communication. We have since fixed this with a process we call escalated customers and once escalated the customer is in a list box that gets viewed by all and has to be fixed by the day end. We will continue to improve and I am greatly disappointed with our failures in communication on this job. That being said I am struggling when a customer shares that he tried to contact me and I never called him back. I spoke to the customer on two different occasions once for almost an hour allowing him to vent and another a couple days later as well. I was the one that scheduled my father Ronnie Sr. (Also an owner) to go out and put his eyes on this job so that we could confirm everything was handled to our standards. When he originally asked to speak to me and I was not available he was transferred to our COO Sean Gist. What the customer was really angry about was that we politely declined to accept work on another location he wanted us to help him on. I am not saying that we did not drop the ball on communicating we most certainly did. I feel that one of the benefits to owning my own business is I have the choice to work for someone just as they have a choice to choose us to perform the work. I feel that if you look at our other reviews you will see that we have a record of great work and a few that we could have done much better on. We will not except anything less than perfect and when we do not reach that level we will do what ever it takes to make it right! We will always do the right thing for the customer, it has always been important to me and my father that we would always be proud to look any of our customers in the eye 5 years from now and they would not be able to argue that the work we did was outstanding and even if there were challenges we worked through them to the best of our ability and made it right in the end which is what we did here with this customer. We wish the customer the best and if his mother ever needs service work we will hopefully change his opinion of our company and our systems in place that allow us to maintain an outstanding reputation. For scheduling, they were booked four weeks out. However, they called earlier when they had an earlier opening. I was out of town and they were able to complete the job while I was not there. They completed the job in about one day. The only miscommunication we had was regarding my belongings I had stored in my crawlspace. They removed them for the job, set them the grass, and did not put them back. When I contacted them, they explained that the customer would have to put the items back as it was not part of their job scope. Overall, the job went pretty well.

Daniel Stange came out and checked our crawl space and took pictures. He gave us an estimate. We had no trouble scheduling the work. The first day a crew came out and removed the insulation and treated the mold under our house. The second day a second crew came out and put in new insulation. The last day Adam and Corey came out to install the waterproof liner and dehumidifier. We were pleased with the professionalism of all the workers. I had already looked at two other vendors and researched the vialibility of crawl space encapsulation. Through a non profit research company in Raleigh NC, I became convinced this was in fact a very good product for this area of the country with humidity and condensation that occurs in the crawl space. After I called Dry Pro to come out I was impressed from the start with their system and options and sales rep, and the price while in the same catagory was a little less then others. When they came out to do the installation, they were complete in one day and they did a great job. The only question I had was why they put the dehumidifyer off center, not center like we had talked about and puttng it center. Being somewhat skeptical about the efficiency of that (my most moist area was in the back right quadrant and the humidifyer was in the front left), i withheld $400 from my fnal payment to make sure it worked properly. After several months I called to let them know the humidity was still high so they came out and installed a vent kit to vent the air up to the middle. That was in approximately Feb/march. Original instal was Oct previous year. They called me a couple of times to ask for the final payment but I wanted to wait until July/Aug since that is the highest time of year for humidity and condensation. They did not mind at all and never pressured me. in the meantime the vent kit did bring down the humity to a good exceptable level and maintained it. In july and August it maintained the same. I then called them up and told them I would be sending in the final payment and was very pleased. I highly recomend this company because of my experience with them but also because that is all they do unlike other companies.

Representative John Williams was the consummate professional and I have nothing but good things to say about him as he was timely, responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. DryPro provided me with an abundance of helpful information on their products and services. By the looks of it they use top notch materials, particularly their sump pump and basin and they offer a very good-looking warranty. They are however expensive, quoting me for $13,458 for the option that made the most sense to me while a competitor's quote was more the $5000 less for the same work and similar materials and warranty. The CleanSpace system that DryPro uses is marketed by its owner (Basement Systems Inc.) in a book DryPro sent me as a passive radon mitigation system, however the EPA does not recommend only sealing crawlspace walls and floors for radon mitigation. In fact several studies have found that sealing a crawlspace can substantially increase radon levels in many cases to the point that it is a health hazard. It takes installing vent pipes under the liner and extending out of the liner and then out of the house for it to be a radon mitigation system, which is not something that DryPro seems to do as that was not mentioned anywhere in their materials and they are not listed as a radon mitigator on the websites of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the National Radon Proficiency Program, or the National Radon Safety Board. I didn't find many if any who specialize in sealing crawlspaces who are. Instead I focused on making sure any liner installed could form a good seal and be used by a qualified radon mitigator if needed. FYI, I did see my radon levels climb from around 1.3 pCi/L to about 3.4 pCi/L after having a competitor seal my crawlspace and will be having radon mitigation done. While the high price would have been very hard to swallow and the mistaken overselling of CleanSpace as constituting passive radon mitigation by itself bothered me, what tipped the scales for me was one of the Terms and Conditions in their agreement: "DP limits its responsibility for any and all claims of missing or damaged personal property to an aggregate amount of $250 per contract." That is not a typo. A $250 limit of liability on a $13k contract for a several hundred thousand dollar home and its contents. Even if that doesn't apply to the house itself (which isn't clear to me), it still doesn't strike me as reasonable given the limit of liability on a checked bag for domestic air travel is $3400 and so I felt justified in marking DryPro's professionalism rating down a bit for lawyering away accountability.
Description of Work: I called DryPro to get recommendations and estimates for steps to control excessive moisture levels in my crawlspace.

Just had Dry Pro seal our crawlspace. We had another estimate from a company our builder recommended but Dry Pro was less by $300. They started the job just days after we contacted them, and the workers, Eduardo, Oscar, and Tony were here on time, worked efficiently and were done after two days. And we have a pretty large crawl space. If not for the sounds of work being done, I wouldn't have even known they were here. They were clean, polite, and diligent. The job was very professional. Will check back after we have had it for a time and report how well it's keeping humidity in check

Dry Pro is the real deal. They were over the top professionally and executed to the letter. Josh, Jose and James just wrapped up what had been a week long project. There were three teams of experts involved. One for removing old insullation and mold remediation. One for installing new insulation Final team did the wall to wall encapsulation of our crawl space. We shopped this project to a few potential partners. While Dry Pro was the most expensive they were certainly worth the premium. I highly recommend Dry Pro to anyone looking for a best in class partner.

On March 27th, I had a very informative meeting at the rental property site with the sales representative who was knowlegable and helpful. He did a fine job describing the process for installation of piers to support a structure like mine and recommended an engineering firm to proivide the required engineering design opinion and clearance letter after installation who I ended up using and was pleased with. I was told the installation would take approximately 2 days, but once installation began, they discovered the gas meter needed to be relocated instead of simply disconnected. This should have been anticipated. I was never told of the delay but odly, I received a call from someone in the office a few weeks later asking if the job was complete. Not knowing, I suggested she talk with the project manager and for him to call me with an update. This happened again over the course of several weeks. Frustrating! I ended up having to call the slaes rep and project manager more than once to encourage them to get the job completed ASAP. I attempted to call the owner of the business but was never successful in reaching him. It took until June 19 to finally get the job completed. Then I didn't receive a bill for another 2 months. The job appears to have been done well, however, I prefer to keep things within an agreed upon schedule and if unexpected delays happen, I expect to be kept informed. Neither of these things occured. Plenty of room for improvement here.
Description of Work: Installed 5 heilcal piers to support the corner of a house.

Insulation and mold was done on Friday, August 15th. They did a good job. Second crew came out on Monday, August 18th. They installed new insulation in crawl space and put down materials to seal the area. They removed all loose items in crawl space and raked it out. Overall a very good job.

As of todays date I have not heard back. If they can't or won't do they work it would be the professional thing to do to let me know directly.
Description of Work: In April salesman Mike quoted a crawlspace sealing job for $900 to include new vapor barrier, 1 powered vent fan, seal excess vents. After about 2 weeks I accepted the proposal and sent in the 20% deposit. My check cleared my bank and a week later I called to check on my job schedule, was told my job was not entered in to their computer system yet, told to call Mike, he said he would take care of it. Waited another week, still no call to schedule my job. Called Mike again, told again he would take care of it. Another week or so goes by so I called again, this time I was told the VP Sean needed to, talk to me. He told me the job Mike quoted would not fix my problem that I also needed a dehumidifier for a total 0f $1400.00. At that point I asked for my deposit back so I could research this some more. A realtor I know told me they were generally reliable and known for good work. So I called again, Mike came out again and said his proposal would work, that I did not need the dehumidifier and that they would have enlarge the access to put one in.. I told him to figure this out with his boss and that I needed a solution, even the more expensive one, but that I needed this fixed correctly. Two weeks has gone by again with no response. Not a good example of customer service.

Response from Dry Pro Foundation and Crawlspace Specialists
Since the confusion about the solution for [removed members name] crawl space we have designed a solution that will permanently solve his humidity issue in his crawl space and comes with 10 year warranties. We installed the system over a month ago without any issues arising. The Dry Pro rep that originally worked with [removed members name] no longer works at Dry Pro.

Dry Pro is a foundation and crawlspace specialist company. Our crawlspace was in terrible condition. Water was constantly under the house after the slightest rain. We tried all sorts of solutions from French drains to waterproofing. None of that worked. Then Dry Pro came out and told us how they could help: they installed a drainage system with a sump pump, covered the crawlspace with vapor barrier and back up batteries. With this wonderful system, we have had no problems since the system was installed three years ago. Now we have an annual inspection. Darnell Attaway and Travis Howard were wonderful. They were on time for the inspection, and they gave me a full rundown of what they were going to do and what they would look for. And true to their word, that is what they did. We love this company and its employees. I recommend this group to anyone who needs crawlspace or foundation work!

Dry Pro installed a Crawlspace French drain and sump pump using affiliate company ADVANTA for mold issue and Roby Electric for electrical relating to sump pump. All want well from initial inspection and estimate to installation. The franchise drain installation crew worked efficiently and were always ready to answer questions or provide explanation when asked. Would use provider again based on the experience to date.
